Here's the deal, WHD is not an "in house production" of Sony. Sony only financed and distributed the movie, they didn't produce it like their other summer movies. The president of Film District which produced OHF is a formal Sony Pictures executive. This company has close ties to Sony.Sony distributes most of Film District movies for theatrical release and all of their DVD and Blu ray.Did Sony sabotage WHD because they would make more money off the OHF success?

White House Down stands at the cusp of $100m after $13m from 4,740 in 13 boosted the score to $98m. The thriller opened at number one in Spain on $1.3m from 397 and arrived in third place in the UK on $1.8m from 472. It stayed top in its second weekend in Germany on $2.7m from 625 for $6.7m.
