It is the best possible release date over here. There are some school holidays in February but Alvin 4 is there.

This could be the most pirated movie of 2016. I doubt it matters much to dreamworks, but those release dates are incredible.

Really? It's not like Kung Fu Panda has some massive fanbase that's going to be all upset that they can't watch it at the earliest moment. Plenty of family-oriented movies are delayed by many weeks/months and they are fine.

 

Big Hero 6 got delayed 3 months after US release this year, and it still performed really well at the box office.
