I think Elfman's theme for Age of Ultron is severely underlooked, that shit is fantastic.

maybe it has to do with the way it was used in the movie, couldn't hear anything

if the theme is anything to go by, AOU score is on par with Doyle work for Thor

The mix was absolutely atrocious. Why hire Danny Elfman to rescore some of your movie just to drown it out?

Some really great music was cut from the film too. Elfman had a really exciting action cue for the opening action scene which culminated in a huge fanfare of Silvestri's Avengers theme during that big group shot. There's a great bombastic take of his new Avengers theme (start of this video actually) that didn't make it either. AND he referenced Silvestri's Cap theme and that was cut too.

What a waste.

Doesn't really matter since 181m would've been the interesting milestone to beat Thor, and that can't happen.

Those sexy legs are probably one of the main reasons the sequel got green lit.

The sequel to this should easily make upwards of 1B with the increase in ticket prices and theater expansions.

How much would Ant-Man & The Wasp gross domestically? 250 maybe?

Probably that unless Ant-Man is the big MVP in CW and Avengers.

I see the sequel making Thor 2 numbers domestic and worldwide.

Making Winter Soldier money is not that easy.

The movie has to be one of Marvel's best and the character needs to become much more popular.

I'm looking forward to buying Ant-Man on Blu-ray tomorrow. It was a pretty fun movie to see in theaters :D . Hopefully there won't be actual issues with the audio on the Ant-Man Blu-ray, like there 'supposedly' had been with the Avengers: Age of Ultron Blu-ray :o .

This was a fun movie to watch. Good effects and the right amount of self effacing humor.

Cause it just hit it's last milestone. It was just released on DVD(expect some posts on that front perhaps as well). It's still relevant, if marginally.

Why did Frozen keep getting bumped after it had long been out of theaters and long since on DVD?

No one said you had to pop in here. Grab a tissue on your way out.

Tis that time of the year when Deadline puts together info from their "trusted sources" and projects profitability.

No. 14 ‘Ant-Man’ – 2015 Most Valuable Movie Blockbuster Tournament

Quote

Success is relevant in the Marvel universe. Ant-Man can’t compare to the gargantuan grosses of those stronghold Marvel franchises like The Avengers, or even Guardians Of The Galaxy‘s $773M worldwide gross. But this was at least a solid double, as superhero launches go, with a $519M global gross on a $130M negative cost. Talent participations were not out of control, which is the way it usually goes with Marvel movies. The picture opened with a $57M domestic weekend in the heat of July. It received good reviews, an 80% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and critics seemed to appreciate that it didn’t take itself too seriously. The end results speak for themselves: Ant-Man delivered a $103M net profit, and a Cash on Cash Return of 1.31.
