The Challenge - Information Week 7 This week "The Black Stallions" won for the second week in a row. Xeno and Doc will send two people into The Challenge. There are no other options for this week due to the surprises that are coming. Two people will enter The Challenge and one person will be eliminated...but he may not be the only person eliminated this week. Immunity price: +8 points Immune players: acsc1312, CEDAR, Goffe Rises, riczhang, and Totem *** ***Xeno can move one of these players into non-immunity, whereby he will still have to pay 8 points to be immune. Now for the second surprise: Xeno and Goffe each scored highest on Question 8 (I think this means I owe Goffe a point because I don't think I gave him one). So this prize goes to both of them. 1) Xeno: Xeno and Doc each get to choose who will go into The Challenge by ranking those members. They have 5 options (plus a 6th one now). Xeno can choose one of the 6 players and automatically keep that person out of The Challenge by taking 5 points from that person. Now notice that 5 points is less than the cost of an immunity, but when you purchase an immunity, those points "vanish". Here, the 5 points will go to Xeno's bank account, and that person doesn't have to buy an immunity from The Challenge because he will be safe. Avatarfan cannot afford this option, which leaves the following: Fakhir, JackO, Schumacher FTW, Sims, and the contestant from one of the other top three teams that Xeno sends into the Challenge. 2) Goffe: Goffe can earn an extra 5 points if he answers his own unique Challenge question and scores above a 90% on it. The Creator Posted July 25, 2012 Author Share Posted July 25, 2012 Ok we have a slew of developments that have taken place via PMs, and now I will publicize those. They concern The Challenge this week. The Challenge - Week 7 Xeno was granted the power to move one immune player (from one of the other top 3 teams) to non-immunity this week. The player he selected was "Knight" member Totem, who has 46 points and can therefore afford numerous immunities for 8 points apiece. Xeno also unlocked the power to move one non-immune player into immunity by taking 5 points from that player and adding them to his bank account. Xeno has chosen "Incredible" member Sims for this treatment. Now things get really mucky here: Xeno's finaly gift this week came from his winning Question 4, posting the only 90%+ average on the question. This gift was as follows: Xeno has the power to purchase immunity for one player, and that player would be in his debt, a debt that Xeno could call in at any moment in the remaining weeks. This was previously exercised by DoctorWho, who bought an immunity for Avatarfan in Week 1 and then cashed in on that in Week 4. Xeno has chosen to rescue JackO. JackO can, however, afford an immunity himself for 8 points. It remains to be seen whether JackO will let Xeno buy his immunity, and thus be placed in Xeno's debt, or buy his own immunity, but he has thus far declared that he will purchase immunity. So that left four elligible candidates for The Challenge. They were: Totem, Schumacher FTW, Fakhir, and Avatarfan. In a shocking move, Totem decided not to purchase any immunity, even though he can buy upwards of 5 immunities if he so wished (he now has 51 points because he won the Monday challenge). But Totem has decided to stake himself on the line by going into The Challenge himself. Both Schumacher and Fakhir purchased immunities for 8 points apiece, so this means that Avatarfan will be going into The Challenge against Totem. This will truly be a battle to behold, for Avatarfan has already proven himself on The Challenge before, whereas Totem has never participated in a Challenge in the two seasons he has played. Will this be the end of "The Crimson Knights"? Or of Avatarfan? A truly shocking move here on Totem's part. Here is The Challenge: 1. Predict The Dark Knight Rises' Wednesday gross 2. Predict Ice Age: Continental Drift's Wednesday per theater average 3. Predict The Amazing Spiderman's total through Wednesday DEADLINE IS THURSDAY, JULY 26 AT 6:00 A.M. EASTERN (5:00 A.M. So here's the twist. CEDAR will be given the chance to compete in a different Challenge this week with Sims. These are the stipulations: the winner of this Challenge will receive +5% on their lowest scoring question next week. Your Challenge questions are the same as those for The Challenge (Totem v. Avatarfan). And for a darker Challenge: Fakhir posted the lowest score on Question 2. However, acsc1312 also posted a low score on this question. So here's the twist. Up first: CEDAR versus Sims. This Challenge, using the same Challenge questions, would determine which player would receive a 5% bonus on his lowest scoring question next week. The results are published below. CEDAR: 98.33% Sims: 0.00% (did not predict) And so CEDAR will receive a 5 percent bonus on his lowest scoring question next week. Up next we have acsc1312 versus Fakhir: This Challenge was held to determine which player would receive a 4 point deduction from his bank account. The results are published below. acsc1312: 91.92% Fakhir: 93.44% And so acsc1312 will have 4 points taken from him. It's a small loss though. And now the Challenge we're all waiting for. This is the closest of all, and one of the scores is the highest Challenge score any player has ever posted in Box Office Alliance. In perhaps one of the tensest Challenges we've had all season, we find Totem squaring off against Avatarfan, who has already competed in a Challenge this season. It will be a sad farewell for one player, but if Totem is eliminated here, then "The Knights" are finally vaniquished as riczhang will be reassigned to a new team. And if Avatarfan is eliminated, then his teammates will have to make due without him. Totem versus Avatarfan: The loser of this Challenge will be eliminated, leaving us with 11 contestants. The results can be seen below: Avatarfan: 97.37% Totem: 99.26% Oh this is a crushing blow. No team has been able to get rid of those Knights, and even though they haven't won in a while, they still pose a threat to the other teams based on their history in the first part of the season. And now we came to the most tense moment for the Knights when Totem almost faced elimination. It was a 50/50 chance, but Totem pulled out an incredible Challenge score, the highest I've ever seen. Sadly, Avatarfan will be leaving us. He put up a great game, although he missed a couple weeks, and that prevented him from being immune this week. However, Avatarfan joins the rest of the eliminated cast this season to participate in the Second Chance Challenge...when it comes around.
