Sandra Bullock and Jon Hamm are the human protagonists in the Minions spin-off (one of them will actually be a bad guy most likely) so it's more of an origin story to explain how the Minions came to Gru. I doubt it will be solely gibberish

I have a feeling this will end up being a lot bigger than the usual spin-off. Remember most people came to DM2 for the Minions, not Gru. In fact in terms of popularity I think Gru is right behind or equal to Agnes, but the Minions steal the show. Universal knows how to market them right and the date is prime. If DM2 can do $365M, I think this can clear $200M with ease. I could see more, but this is still 2 years away so I'll hold off for now.
