A lot of my favourites from those years are Laurel&Hardy shorts but when I limit it to features:

9/10:

The Thin Man (1934)

Modern Times (1936)

Bringing Up Baby (1938)

Block-Heads (1938)

8/10:

Sons of the Desert (1933)

After the Thin Man (1936)

Libeled Lady (1936)

Our Relations (1936)

Way Out West (1937)

Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939)

The Flying Deuces (1939)

Another Thin Man (1939)

I guess I'm a sucker for comedies

The Private Life of Henry VIII.

M

All Quiet on the Western Front

La grande illusion

Again, being a big Charles Laughton fan, I love also even if some are not considered as 'best'  movies too

Mutiny on the Bounty (1935)

Rembrandt

Les Misérables

Jamaica Inn (1939)

I also liked Queen Christina and The 39 Steps quite a lot

Laughton is magnificent.  He's always great, even in those slight charming comedy/musicals he did with Deanna Durbin

I think I did all the other decades before, don't know why or how I missed the 1930s.
