I think Cabin in the Woods definitely aims toward that direction. Too bad a sequel would be very challenging to make any sense of, heh.

Well, yeah

the whole world is destroyed at the end

:DFrankly speaking, I didnt really like the very end of that movie

Well we saw this coming and for as cheap as they are to make, of course they were gonna make PA5.. Hopefully, the the team that did PA4 learn from the fan criticism and move this along or at least wrap it up with a BANG!! in PA5??? I'm seeing this tomorrow by the way on a regular screen cause I'm still not sure how IMAX benefits a movie like this?? What?? Does the Audio in IMAX give it that more added experience when you see the Activity???

Sure enough, they will not wrap the series up. PA5 will come, then PA6, the PA7, then PA8, franchise is dead.

Way to early to tell.. We don't even know who the filmmakers are or seen any new footage.. If they market this better than PA4 which was marketed poorly, it could rebound, especially if the FINALE part of it is played up properly..

Even if the film is good, the franchise will be dead after this film.
