What a fantastic film...they could not have ended it on a more perfect note. This was exactly how the story was meant to end, and the third act is exhilarating and emotionally resonant.

 

The visuals? Holy fuck, it's absolutely stunning beyond belief...it was like looking at a painting. Astounding work.

To me, this franchise is the greatest modern trilogy alongside the Rise/Dawn/War of/for the Planet of the Apes trilogy.

What a beautiful film. Not a dry eye during the epilogue. What a great way to end an almost perfect trilogy (Hiccup was so annoying during the second film).

Is increasing in most places in local currency but in dollars, the ER is killing it. In Chile, it managed to increase in dollars, hope to see it sometime this week.

First rotten review from The Guardian. I'm surprised it held at 100% for as long as it did. Several of the reviews on RT are not exactly glowing.

 

The average rating of 7.1 is also substantially lower than the first two films' ratings of 7.9 and 7.7, respectively.

 

I have not seen the film yet, but what I've heard from fans is a mixed bag. The general consensus seems to be that it's the weakest of the three.

The fact that this could be weaker than #2 is amazing.

But I've never been too fond of Dreamworks sequels outside of Shrek 2.

I only heard very good things. 

And twitter ratio is a very good 41:1.

I agree that the overall reaction has been good. I'm talking about hardcore fans like myself.

 

I still feel this will be the most poorly reviewed film of the franchise, but it will probably end up just slightly below the second film in terms of RT score.

Its probably the worse film of the trilogy because of the predictable story but still a good flick and an entertaining watch. Also the animation is just gorgeous but that should surprise no one.

I just finished watched the second one. Now off to the cinema for the third.

 

Crazy to think this was 5 years ago, I remember being dragged to the cinema to see it, I could think of nothing worse than watching some stupid kids film in the cinema. And I fell completely in love.
