Jack Nevada
What do you think was the best scene? I choose the scene in jail. It was crazy to see Quill get that unleashed

CoolioD1
I like the processing scene where he's going from the window to the wall and changing Amy Adams eye colour and shit like that. Jack Nevada
I'm always bothered when in movies taking place in the past you have people who don't look like the people of that time period. The Master had amazingly authentic, late 40's faces. Paul Thomas Anderson is, no pun intended, a master at capturing old times, as showcased in Master, Boogie Nights and TWBB. I think only Spielberg is better
Noctis
Fascinating film with absolutely amazing performances. Definitely wasn't expecting a film this good. A-
Jack Nevada
This might actually be my favorite movie from 2012
acsc1312
I popped in the blu ray yesterday just to watch like 5 minutes, which turned into 30. I'm gonna finish it today.

Gopher
I was planning on only watching the first five minutes as well... it turned into half of the movie. I didn't want to turn it off. I hate to do this to Holy Motors but this could take back the #1 film of 2012 spot.
Jack Nevada
The processing scene, the jail freakout and PIGFUCK scene have some of the best acting I've ever seen. Astonishing performances in this movie
acsc1312
This has now moved into A+ territory (9.7/10) and jumped TWBB to number two in PTA's filmography for me.
Founder / Operator Shawn Robbins Posted March 1, 2013 Founder / Operator Share Posted March 1, 2013 I need to watch this again. It was an incredibly unsettling experience in the theater, but it's hard not to respect what PTA does with a film. TWBB is easily among my all-time favorites.
Founder / Operator Shawn Robbins Posted March 1, 2013 Founder / Operator Share Posted March 1, 2013 Tell me again how this missed cinematography Just a hunch, but my guess is that the Academy is treating Robert Elswit the same way they are Wally Pfister. Elswit won for TWBB and The Master is really an extension of that. Ditto for Pfister (after winning for Inception) and his work in TDK and Inception extending into TDKR. It was a hard year for that category. Most other years, I think Elswit and Pfister both get nominated.
