Impact
So 2005-yep. That was pretty bad.
Neo
The first film's poor reception, and bad multiplier. XMFC had outstanding reviews and made less then 150, I think XMFC type run is good enough for TW, as it'll be big OS. Btw are you just trying to pick a fight with me, you disagree with everything I sayThe reception of XO:W could hurt it you are right. I am not picking a fight with you, its just we disagree on many things.

Impact
As I said-August is the least broken month. Only 7 films starting in 1980 have the record.2nd place is January-only 8 films.

Impact
What about September?11 films actually, Hotel will be number 12. Remember-it was the 80s where it was broken.

Jonwo
You know-if DWA makes Puss in Boots 2 and keeps it in October, I think that will break the OW record.I think if either Sony or DWA have a successful animated film in October, it'll break the record. If Shark Tale did $40m, then it's possible for an animated film to do over $50m in October this decade.I doubt the February record will be broken for a while unless there is another Passion or Hannibal or even a romantic comedy that just appeal to all people. Impact
Yep, I remember saying that be the toughest before. You know though-most people thought March wouldn't be broken for YEARS.
Impact
Yeah the highest rom com was Hitch-which had something called "Will Smith"
Impact
And as for October-it MUST be a part 3.
Jonwo
Hitch did $43m OW and $179m domestic so it better legs compared to something like Valentine's Day or The Vow. Maybe if Sony is willing to create the most expensive comedy ever and team Will Smith and Adam Sandler and release it in February, maybe that'll break the OW record for February although I'd think if there was such a movie, it'd end up in June or July. Impact
^I thought First Blood had the October record until I saw Halloween 2 made more money.
The Toymaker
Yeah, First Blood was a slow starter. Would never have expected it to break frontloaded records. Halloween 2 was so shite, but those opening weekend records are more related to the first films' success, and Halloween is a brilliant film so I can understand everyone rushing out to see the sequel. It only made half of what the first one made, and that is a reflection of how people disliked it.
Impact
Yep. I just missed Halloween 2 was on there, so the next oldest film I found was First Blood. I was thinking "Dang Algren is going to go nuts with all these Stallone films..."
The Toymaker
:DIt is nice to see how successful and popular Stallone was back in the 1980s and 90s, especially in this time of huge mega opening weekends.
