If I had to guess, I would say that the reboot + recast is half-true.

A soft reboot like they said about The Suicide Squad. Some actors (Gal, Momoa, Margot and maybe others) will stay because they agreed and others won't (Ben, Cavill and Ezra etc).

Thats still pretty much a hard reboot.

Axing The Flash is now the final piece of the puzzle.   Please Zaslav, do the needful.

Ahh yes the ever trustworthy 700 follower account with 1 like and no actual source. Thank you for this.

Not sure why he didn't just quote the Deadline article that line came from.

Deadline has confirmed that they’ve put the kibosh on Patty Jenkins’ treatment for Wonder Woman 3. The filmmaker was expected to hand in a screenplay, we understand, and instead the new bosses got pieces of paper that just weren’t suitable.

If we define “soft-reboot” as them keeping certain actors from the Snyderverse, without following up on Zack Snyder’s plans, then I would’ve assumed that was already a given.

By the way, going by Gunn’s tweet, I’m assuming the part of the article that he and Peter Safran are currently undecided on is whether or not Henry Cavill is getting a new solo movie. That always seemed up in the air.

Is James Gunn a mole from Marvel sent to ruin DC? These decisions don't make sense

What decisions? Cause the only thing we know right now is Wonder Woman 3 isn’t happening in its current incarnation, maybe they have her write another script that fits into their plans. We have no idea what’s happening yet.

"However, we’re hearing that Jenkins was given the chance to take another stab at a Wonder Woman 3 treatment after receiving notes from all Warner Bros. motion picture brass (it wasn’t just Gunn and Safran’s decision). There were concerns about character arcs and payoffs, and the threequel emulating similar structural problems ala Wonder Woman 1984. She decided to take her toys and go home. The studio would like to do another Wonder Woman, however, the question is will Gal Gadot do it sans Jenkins."

Well that answers that about Jenkins.

I think Gadot would do another movie without Jenkins. We’ll see what happens.

The Rock one hundred percent is the editor for the article

I’m getting Trump flashbacks over Deadline’s clearly sponsored coverage for this movie. This is sad

And Black Adam 2? It’s been radio silence from Warner Bros. to the pic’s team about whether there is a sequel to the Johnson led franchise. However Warner brass and Johnson are elated that the pic stands to make a profit north of $50M despite false media reports. Warners would be keen to keep an asset like Johnson with a half billion social media followers in the fold, the People’s Champion having made several hit movies with New Line including San Andreas, Rampage, and Journey to the Center of the Earth.

It really does seem to defy all logic that they would just do a full reboot. A soft reboot is one thing, but starting over from scratch with completely different actors? That comes off like wishful thinking from people who just want to erase all traces of the Snyderverse.

After reading all the material I could find on this, only thing we know for sure is that Gunn and Safre have rejected Jenkins' script for WW3. Everything else is speculation.
