Ridley makes it clear that Deckard is a replicant (which is not something I am fond of)

You once said he’s a Replicant in the first one.

Of course he’s a bloody Replicant! He’s going to have to admit it.

So don’t Replicants die after four years?
I’m not going to tell you. You’ll have to see the story. It’ll all make sense.

Like Blade Runner's only relevance lied in answering "Is Rick Deckard a replicant or not"? Give me a break...

The more I read Ridley Scott speaking of his movies texts and subtexts, the more I think he focuses and hungs up of the most uninteresting plot threads, having his own interpretation of the material that doesn't really reflect nor gel with the bulk of his movies script when not missing the point. Between his pathological need to explain and squander every ounce of mystery that made Alien such a great atmospheric movie while opening threads we never wanted to know about (Magical black goo that turns worms into space cobra snakes, scottish morons into hooligan zombies, impregnates female dumbass with Lovecraftian squid and turns Tom Hardy's talentless twin into a bigger asswipe to roast).

So now he will produce Gladiator 2 to explain if Lucilla's boy is clearly the lovechild she had with Maximus because that's really what Gladiator was all about, did he bone the queen or not?

The Blade Runner re-release annoys me, I mean I can't wait to see it but I will have to pay for a ticket, I never have to pay to go to the cinema but I will this time :(

I hate having to pay for gas.  I mean, when I was a kid, my parents paid the gas in the family car.  Now as an adult, I have to pay for my own.  Annoying.

Lol I was annoyed because I pay £16 a month to see unlimited films, and had to pay to see that one at a different cinema :P

Also I did not have much income buddy.

I'm in full time employment now, and I don't complain about paying for rarer movies any more.

Quote

Gosling was pretty tight-lipped about the whole affair. He said that the participation of Villeneuve and Deakins encouraged him to sign on along with the script, but joked “there’s a chip in me and if I say anything more I’ll explode if I say anything else.” However, he did add that it’s the next film he’s planning to shoot.

Is he really doing a sequel to Gladiator??
