Plot:

The Film opens with a shot of two armies marching towards each other, on a flat barren, expanse of land. The land looks like it once contained much life, but now it’s just a wasteland. They approach, and then the shots begin, it’s a futuristic society there are some guns, but a lot of laser based guns, and other advanced weaponry. And, the shots begin, we see some laser shots get deflected off invisible shields, and we see bullets pass right through them. People begin to fall, and the scene transforms into a television screen, and we hear the newscaster talking. “The Joint Allied forces, engaged the Federation enemy forces in Siberia.” We see a map of the world light up, North America,, Europe, South America, Oceania, and most of Western Africa are shown in Blue, and the rest of the world in Red, and there’s a flashing X in Russia, in the Red territory representing the location of engagement. “Our lads claimed a victory over the enemy…….” The TV drones on, but a phone interrupts, and we see an aging lady, Mary Crawford (Helen Mirren) pick up the phone, and answer, “Mary Crawford speaking, how can I help you?” We hear a very serious voice talk on the other end, we can’t quite make out what he’s saying, and Mary looks surprised, but happy to hear the voice, and begins to talk, but the voice continues, and Mary’s complexion begins to pale. He says, Sorry, Mother at the end, as she breaks down into tears. We hear the TV again, as we see Mary cry, and break down in the living room, which looks more like a luxurious bomb shelter than a home, and we hear the newscaster say, “Reportedly 2 army personnel were taken captive by the Federation enemy, Corporal Daniel Crawford, and Corporal George Irvine. We are told they were part of a little charge of forces that heroically turned the battle back into our favour.”

We cut back to the battlefield, and we replay the scene, we see from a different shot this time, two men evidently friends, Daniel Crawford (Benedict Cumberbatch), and George Irvine (Chris Pine), stand side by side as they march, a few rows from the front, George says something to Daniel, and Daniel smiles, and kind of jabs George lightly in the side. George grins back in return, it’s out of place in the grim mood of the rest of the regiment. Then the shots begin, and they launch into a highly rehearsed and familiar battle pattern. However the enemy are prepared, and begin to scatter the allied forces, forcing them into disarray, and in that moment, a captain approaches George, and Daniel in the chaos, and very quickly speaks to them. He’s asking them to join him, and a small group of soldiers to lead a charge and try to surprise the Federation. Both of them accept without hesitation, and we see them charging, and bridging the gap between the two armies, both equally surprised. The Federation starts to fire on the small group, and some of them begin to fall, but this momentary lapse in concentration allow the allied forces to start firing again, and reassemble their offensive on the enemy. Eventually all that’s left of the group is Daniel, and George, and they continue to advance, they use their shields to deflect the lasers, and roll, and duck to avoid the bullets. We see a bullet approach Daniel, and it’s going to fast, Daniel raises his shield hoping to deflect it, but the bullet passes right through, and strikes him in the thigh, and he falls. George seeing this, immediately stops, and runs towards his friend, he tells him that he’ll carry him back to their side, and for him to just not lose consciousness. Just then a laser flashes right past George’s shoulder, scaring both of them. Daniel tells George to go without him, but George refuses to, and tries to help him, however both sides are almost approaching where they are, and as George tries to hoist Daniel up, they get lost in the chaos, and we see glimpses of them. We see a Federation group of soldiers, roughly take them down, tackling both of them onto the ground, we see both of them resisting, but eventually they’re overpowered, and hauled away, probably as captives. We see a gold chain around Daniel’s neck now dangling loosely out of his shirt, and we see a laser in that moment, zap right through it, and the locket falls to the ground, Daniel’s eyes widen, and we see him desperately trying to grasp at the locket, but it’s gone. He can’t reach it. It falls on the ground, and bumps open, we see a picture of an older woman, we can’t quite make out what it is, but just then a boot slightly steps on it, the locket is slightly bent out of shape but still intact.

The title sequence appears now, and the title of the film Worlds Apart appears with a colour palette to match that of the battlefield.

The next scene is of the Allies, surveying the battlefield, they defeated the Federation in this battle, and we see General William Crawford(Ewan McGregor), along with a cohort of other soldiers, they’re looking for something. A soldier tells him that it’s useless, and that they won’t find anything, that all the dead bodies have been identified, and that they’re nothing more they can do about the two soldiers taken hostage. William tells him to keep searching for a little while longer maybe we’ll find out who the two remaining survivors of the charge were. Just then, William sees a glint of gold on the ground, and he goes to pick it up, it’s the locket. We see Mary’s face on it, and William’s face goes pale, and he’s kind of shocked. A nearby soldier asks him what’s wrong, and William’s voice comes out no longer confident, and strong, but shocked, and he manages to force out, “My Brother.”

Back in the command tent, we see William sitting down with his advisors, and he’s saying, “I’m not sure why I’m so shocked, I prepared myself for this, for the moment he wouldn’t be with us anymore. But, it still hits you in the face.” An advisor says, “Perhaps we can get them back, they’re only taken hostage not dead.” William nods a bit stiffly, and dismisses them, they all leave except the one standing right beside him. Peter, who’s an advisor, and a friend asks, “And how do you plan on telling your mum?” William thinks for a moment, and replies, “I’ll call her, it’s better than her finding out on the news.” We see William pick up the phone, and make the call, we hear Mary’s faint voice on the other line, and William says “Hello, mother.”

We cut, and we see George and Daniel waking up, they’re in a cell, a futuristic cell, between the bars of the cell a laser force field surrounds them. They’re not bound, and we see George rub his eyes, before rushing over to Daniel, and he makes sure Daniel’s okay. They have a short exchange about where they are, and the guards outside tell them to shut up, but the conversation continues quieter. This prompts one of the guards to shoot Daniel in the shoulder with a mild laser, we see that it’s weaker, because the noise it makes is softer like a pop, and the light is very weak. Daniel cringes, and almost cries out but stops himself from doing that. The next scene is of Daniel, and George being led to two different interrogation rooms. They’re both alone except for 2 guards in the room, before a man dressed in military wear walks into Daniel’s room, and the interrogation begin. He keeps pressing Daniel for information on the Ally’s plans, he shouts at him, and tells him that he knows that Daniel is the brother of the General, and tries to pressure him into revealing plans, which the interrogator is convinced Daniel knows being the brother of the General. Eventually, the interrogator gets annoyed, and makes a call, and they wait, Daniel gets nervous, and he seems apprehensive at the wait. Then we see George being brought in, and Daniel looks confused, and then surprised, before realising what is happening. The interrogator tells Daniel that this might break him, and tells George that we’ll see how pretty of a face you’ll have left after I’m done with you. He proceeds, and brings out a scalpel; it’s made of a laser, but otherwise looks like a present day scalpel. He begins to bring the scalpel down on George’s cheek, and Daniel rises as if to stop him, but the guards hold Daniel down. Daniel looks conflicted, and begins to open his mouth, but George seeing this motions his hands to stop Daniel, and Daniel hesitates for a moment, but as the Scalpel drags on George’s cheek, and George hisses with pain, Daniel’s resolve breaks, and he tells the interrogator the plans.

The interrogator turns around, and motions for George to be brought out of the room, and sits back down at the table with Daniel, and tells him to begin talking. Daniel nods hesitantly and begins. He tells them of a plot to use the Allied Force’s foothold in Oceania to send troops up to the coast of what we know as India, and gain a foothold through the Eastern Front. The interrogator seems to believe him, but he says that he’ll go try to verify that, and if he finds out that Daniel is lying he’ll kill him, and his friend. Daniel visibly cringes a bit, and the interrogator leaves the room.

The next scene is Daniel getting shoved back into the cell, and we see him at the last moment quickly move his hand to the guard’s belt, and back, extracting something small, we can’t quite see what it is. He gets unceremoniously dumped back into the cell, and George rushes over to him. George seems a bit concerned, and a bit angry at how Daniel told the interrogator the Ally’s plans. Daniel very discreetly whispers that he told the interrogator a lie, and tells George to put on a show, George looks confused for a moment, but almost immediately gets Daniel’s point. George puts a shocked look on his face, and begins to berate Daniel for leaking secrets, and tells him how he could betray his own comrades, and country. Daniel puts on a shocked and slightly fearful face, and backs off a bit as George keeps advancing, the guards outside look on, and one of them pulls out a communication device, and we can barely hear it in the background but he says, “He’s telling the truth.” Eventually George, and Daniel stop their charade, and they sit on opposite sides of the cell, and then they notice the guards leaving, Daniel rushes over to George, and they realise that it’s probably a shift change. Daniel says that he swiped the cell key from the previous guards, and that he noticed a supply locker when he was being dragged back into the cell. They decide to escape the next time the shift changes. They hear footsteps approaching, and Daniel quickly hurries back to his side of the cell. We see a new set of guards appear, and the scene cuts.

We cut to a command room, and we see William (Ewan McGregor) in front of a huge HUD (Heads Up Display), and a map of the world is displayed in front of him, with marks blinking updating in real time, the location of the Allied troops, and tracking the Federation troops. There are 3 stars, 3 cities, Moscow, London, and Washington D.C., and the borders of the two opposing factions are displayed prominently. On the HUD there are two figures, one the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, David Pearson (Michael Sheen), and on the other half of the screen is President of the United States, Hillary Snowdon (Meryl Streep). They’re in conversation. We see William explaining to them the next move, he mentions how that the Federation supply chains are weakening, and that if we attack now, we’ll be able to probably set them back indefinitely, and put the cards ever more in our favour. The Prime Minister is in favour of this, but the President isn’t, and they’re arguing about it. President Snowdon seems to believe that they should carefully plan this, and don’t make any rash decisions, as they easily could backfire on us, but both William, and the Prime Minister agree that it is risky, but this is their best chance in ages, and if they don’t take it they’ll be allowing the enemy to regroup, and that’s unacceptable especially when victory is almost within sight. The scene climaxes with President Snowdon shouting out, “I will not have you fools ruin years of progress in one rash move!” Then, something happens, and the map begins to beep, and all three of them glance down, and William looks confused for a moment. Then, an aide walks into the room, and informs him that a mole within the Federation has informed them that they’re moving a large regiment of troops from the Western front, south, to South East Asia. They all look confused, as to why they’re moving troops to South East Asia, and William comments that there are no plans to invade the Federation from South East Asia, and President Snowdon snaps that how would she know, and that the 2 of them (William, and Prime Minister Pearson) never tell her anything, always conspiring together. And, this almost descends into bickering, but William takes a deep breath and refocuses on the task at hand. And, they decide to shore up defenses in Australia if the Federation decides to attack.

The next scene is of Mary, sitting in her living room, she’s still crying, and a servant comes by, out of a thickly reinforced door that suspiciously looks like a bunker, and brings her tea, and biscuits. The ornate silverware is in stark contrast with the simplicity of its contents, showing War Austerity, but Mary waves her off. Instead, the servant places the tea beside Mary, and leaves quietly. The phone rings again, and we see Mary at first not pick it up, and it stops ringing, but it rings again, and she hesitantly picks it up. We hear Prime Minister Snowdown’s voice on the other end, and he’s apologising for her loss, and he has a gift for her. Mary seems a bit confused, but just then the door clicks again, and William steps in, and Mary looks very surprised. William says, “Hello Mama,” and walks over to her, and gives her a hug, as Mary cries, and collapses into his arms.

We’re back in the cell now, and Daniel, and George are laying now on the same side of the cell, Daniel’s head lying on George’s shoulder sleeping. George gently nudges Daniel, and he wakes up, he says that he reckons it’s been 3, 4 hours, and asks Daniel if he has any idea when the guards will change, but just then, the guards do begin to move, and the moment they are out of sight, Daniel and George bolt for the cell door, and Daniel using the white key-card unlocks the door. They hurry, and rush down the corridor that the guards came from, they run, and find the supply locker, and reaching it, Daniel again uses the key card to unlock the door, and they quickly close it behind them. Inside are uniforms, weapons, and other supplies. They each grab a uniform, and put it on, and they also grab 2 guns each, and a handful of what look like miniature grenades or bombs. They are about to leave, but as they open the door just a sliver, they hear the voice of the approaching guards, and they jump back into the room. They wait for a few tense moments as the footsteps fade, and they then quietly look out the door, and seeing no-one there they bolt out again. They’re not quite sure where they’re going, but not soon after they leave an alarm begins to sound, and we see red strobe lights light up, and George comments, that they must’ve discovered we’re missing, to which Daniel replies, “No Duh.” They share a brief moment of a smile, and then continue bolting. Daniel says that they should go look for a Airplane hanger, and perhaps hijack an airplane, and George agrees, but then they hear footsteps approaching from both sides, and they panic.

We cut, and we now see two search groups approaching each other, where George, and Daniel were two moments ago. One leader tells the other that there’s no one in the other direction, and both of them set off together in a new direction, and as they group is leaving, the camera pans and zooms in on an air duct covering, it looks slightly out of place. We see Daniel, and George now climbing in the air ducts, and we see glimpses of rooms underneath them, command rooms, barracks, and etc. Suddenly George stops, and Daniel almost bumps into him, and asks with an annoyed tone, why they’ve stopped, and George just silently points underneath him. Underneath him, is a Russian man, in General regalia, in a private office, looking very official, and he’s on the Head’s Up Display with someone. George, and Daniel both seem to recognise the person, and we hear the General speaking in a Russian accent, “Yes, Mr. President. We will take care of that Mr. President.” Then, the President on the HUD lowers his tone, and tells the General to activate the Revelations device, and to be prepared to execute Operation Obscuro on short notice. The General looks alarmed, and asks the President if he’s really sure, and the President answers yes. The General then asks if it is wise to which the President erupts, and says, “Are you questioning my decisions? You do not dictate my decisions, you admitted it yourself, we are weakening, and we are on the verge of collapse. If I can’t conquer this world, then no one can! You understand me? Do You?” The General just kinda nods oddly, and mumbles out a yes, sir. The President snaps back, “Good” before the HUD abruptly shuts down. The General then picks up the phone, and dials a short number, “Put Operation Obscuro into motion. Wait for my order to execute final procedures.” We hear some mumbling on the Phone, to which the General replies, “Yes, I’m sure. The Higher Ups gave strict orders, I’m following them.” Then he puts down his phone, and an aide comes into his office, and tells him a bit fearfully, that the Prisoners (George, and Daniel) have escaped. The General becomes livid, and furious in an instant, and orders the aide out of his sight if he values his life, and then promptly storms out of the room himself. Up in the Air Duct, George mumbles to Daniel, that he’s going down, and Daniel looks at him like he’s crazy. George says that he’s going to go search the General’s office for anything on this Operation Obscuro. Daniel tells him it’s madness, but George insists, telling him that it’s bound to be in there, and that it’s a Golden opportunity to find out integral intelligence about the enemy. Daniel mumbles that George’s always so hero complex-ish to which, George replies, and you love that about me.

George’s now in the General’s office, and he’s searching through everything, trying to find the data-drive that the plans are on. He’s plugging each of them in to see, the process is slow, but eventually he finds it, and he flips to the General’s drawers looking for a supply of blank drives. Finding them, he quickly makes a copy and begins to replace everything back in their normal place. Just then, a different aide walks into the office, and seeing George dressed in Federation Military Uniform rummaging in the office, he opens his mouth to raise alarm, but just as he’s about to make a sound he suddenly tenses up, and we see Daniel pointing a gun straight at the aide. George rushes over to catch him before he falls, and gently lays him on the ground. He then just quickly shoves everything back into place, and he steps onto the desk, and he climbs up into the air duct.

They drop out of the air duct in an empty hallway, and George says that it won’t be long before the aide’s been in the office for a suspiciously long time, and the body is found, and alarm is doubled They step out into a busy hallway, and we hear snippets of conversation, before George suddenly grabs Daniel, and says quiet, we hear the conversation between two Air Cadets, “Quick, we’ve got to get to the airplane hanger, they want us to do an aerial search for the two escaped prisoners.” George, and Daniel look at each other for a moment, before quickly hurrying after the two Cadets, and they eventually find the airplane hangar. Inside the hanger, they set the gun on a low laser setting, and Daniel stuns the cadet with the shot before George catches him, and gently lays him down avoiding at thud. They take his airplane access key, and climb into the cockpit. Daniel is in the Pilot’s seat, and George in the back seat. They lower their hatch as everyone else does, and when they’re finally shielded from the public, George leans forward and asks Daniel if he knows how to fly this. Daniel answers in theory, I’ve never flown one in real life before though, and George remarks, “That’s totally reassuring.” Daniel then snipes back by saying, ”Istanbul, Perhaps?” And George gently hits him on the shoulder saying, “No Fair, I thought we agreed to forget about that.” Daniel replies, “In your dreams.” Then, the intercom bursts to life, and it says, Engines on in 3, 2, 1. And we see the engines all over the hanger begin to hum.

We cut to Daniel, and George taking off, and Daniel is almost smiling, nothing seems to be going wrong, and George says that we should probably figure out where we are. They check the Positioning system, and they find out that they’re close to Moscow, and we cut to the outside as we see the Planes scatter to search the area. Back inside Daniel and George try to plot a course to London, and eventually after the computer first plotted a course to London, Ontario gets the course right, and they begin. Soon, the HUD springs to life, and the Commander yells, “All pilots report back to base, there’s been new developments, I repeat all pilots back to base. Security level is now at Red.” But Daniel, and George just ignore it, probably just because the body of the dead aide was found, and continue, soon however, they Radar shows two other dots approaching on either side, Federation fighter jets, intercepting George, and Daniel. The shots begin to rings out, and George in the weapon’s seat tries to figure out how to control it. The plane pitches, and turns, and does a variety of manoeuvres as they try to evade the fire, and George finally figuring out how to control the weapons begins to fire back, and eventually, the two planes are gone, both shot down. George remarks, “And they said video games weren’t useful, highest score in aptitude testing, and 2 fighter jets while in evasive manoeuvres. Not bad.” Daniel just tells him to not be so full of himself.

They’re flying above London now, and as they’re approaching for Landing at the Biggin Hill airbase, the anti-aircraft cannons begins to fire, causing Daniel to pitch, and roll while trying to land, and now we see inside the cockpit. The ground is coming up extremely quickly, and Daniel says that they won’t make it as he desperately tries to pull the plane up. Cutting back to the outside, we see two parachutes as Daniel, and George eject out of the airplane, and we see the aircraft crash into the runway, and skid right into one of the anti-aircraft cannons erupting the entire thing up into a huge fireball. Daniel, and George are surrounded by Allied troops, and their hands are up in the air, and their guns are at their feet, and as the Allied troops move closer, the commander realises who it is, and orders everyone’s guns down.

Back in the bunker-like living Room, Mary is taking some tea, as William sits with her, he tells her that he’ll have to go back to work tomorrow, and that they’re going to go out tonight to a dinner, and he tells her to dress nicely. Mary tells him, that she’ll go get ready, and gets up, but then, the door opens again, and Mary looks up surprised, and we see Daniel, and George surrounded by a group of troops walk in. Mary’s face turns into one of utter shock, and happiness, as she rushes over to Daniel, and give him a hug. Mary, then moves over to George, and gives him one too. George looks shocked at first, and Mary just says, “Oh, come on. You’re practically like family.” George just smiles, and Mary motions for a servant to go get her more tea, and they all sit down.” We cut to the night time now, and they’re in a diner, it’s not empty, but not too full either, and the four of them are enjoying a meal, and we hear Daniel, and George telling the story, and Mary looks kind of scandalised, and shocked, but mostly relieved that they’re alive. And, we focus on the windows in the background behind them, as the scene fades to black and we cut to:

The next morning, Mary, William, Daniel, and George are standing outside by the road, and a futuristic looking car with no wheels, and just hovering above the ground pulls by them. Mary asks them why they can’t stay longer, and Daniel says that they’ll have to go in and debrief the situation, but that they’ll be back as soon as you can. The three of them get into the car, and the car zooms off. Inside the car, William, closes the divider between the driver, and the back seat, and the scene cuts.

George, and Daniel are sitting once again at an interrogation table, but this time there are no guards, and William, and a Amanuensis sits on the other side. George is finishing up the very end of his tale, he’s talking about the landing in London now, and William looks very serious, and the Amanuensis is writing very word down. George finishes the story, and William says that’s enough, before all 4 of them leave. William tells the Amanuensis to make a copy of both the digital recording, and your notes, and he tells George, and Daniel that they have the rest of the week off, and turns to walk away. We see George and Daniel share a look, before Daniel grabs William’s arm, and tells him that there’s something they left out. William looks confused, and Daniel quickly tells him about the data drive they stole, and about the conversation the General had about Operation Obscuro, and the Revelations device with the President. William looks concerned, and he looks around to see if anyone could’ve heard them, and lead them into a small derelict room, and they plug the data-drive into the computer. The computer bursts to life, and the schematics of what looked like a massive machine appears. William zooms in, to try, and see what it is exactly, and he seems shocked, along with the other two. He quickly unplugs the Drive, and motions to the other two to come with him. Daniel asks where they’re going, and William replies clippedly, “To the Prime Minister.”

They’re with the Prime Minister, in an ornate state-conference room, with only two other people, one General, and one military technology head. William is explaining what the device is, he’s gesturing to the hologram in the middle of the table, and talking about how it will focus the energy from a source, and use it to disrupt the Earth’s core’s movement, and balance, which will cause a catastrophic disaster, probably destroying the Earth as we know it. The Prime Minister looks disbelieving, and he looks at the Military Technology Engineer, and all he does is say kinda of timidly, “It looks perfectly engineered, and realistic to me. I don’t see why they couldn’t have built it, and the fact that they finished building a large Nuclear Power Plant recently, but never turned it on makes perfect sense now.” The Prime Minister lets out a bit of a sigh, and asks how long we possibly could have before they could activate the device. The Military Engineer says that they probably have a month or two before they get the Reactor going, and start producing enough power to activate the device, and the General says that if what Daniel, and George said is true, and they won’t activate it unless they’re really on the verge of defeat, then they have probably around 3-4 months before we can push the Federation to the verge of defeat. The Prime Minister nods, and then says that anything said here doesn’t go out of this room; say nothing to anyone, and especially not their American Cousins. Then he orders to press on, and commence their attack on the Western Front of the Federation, saying that if they still have a few months before the Federation can activate the device then they can try to press on to the Federation Base outside Moscow, and destroy the device before it can be activated. Then the meeting is dismissed.

The next scene is of the Army again, and they press on, as William is back on the front line, they’re pressing the Federation, we see the Federation weakening, their robes, and etc. shabbier than the Allied’s, and they’re getting pushed back, continuously as their supply chains weaken, and their resolve dampens. Meanwhile in Washington, D.C. we see President Snowdon with the HUD display of Prime Minister Pearson, she is furious, she is storming around the room, and she is yelling at Prime Minister Pearson about how she wasn’t consulted, and about how they’re going to ruin years of careful work by making rash movies, and how it’s absolutely unacceptable, and ridiculous that Person, and his government have acted like this. Prime Minister Pearson doesn’t really say anything, other than it was necessary, and that just sets of Snowdon off again, saying, “NECESSARY? I’ll tell you what’s necessary! OUR ALLIANCE IS NECESSARY, WITHOUT UNITY TOGETHER WE’LL BE NOTHING, THE FEDERATION WILL CRUSH US IN MINUTES!” Then Snowdon just shuts down the HUD, and an aide enters the room, and President Snowdon tells him to get out, but he insists that she should see this, he passes the paper to him, and Hillary looks scandalised, and says “Fucking British.” And, she orders the aide to get her on the next flight to England. The aide wonders why she wouldn’t use Air Force One, and Snowdon just tells him to follow her orders.

We cut over to the Prime Minister, and we see the HUD turning off, and an aide comes in, holding a data-drive. I’ve got the people you requested, Prime Minister, all the Space-Engineers that are in England right now, and they peruse through the people, and eventually settle on a team consisting for 10 people, including Mary Crawford, who’ll be heading the team. We go back to the living Room, and Mary’s sitting there with group of friends, playing scrabble on an electronic board. The Prime Minister approaches her, and asks to have a private word with her, Mary looks surprised, and fearful, but follows. Inside the corridor, she asks if something happened to her boys, and the Prime Minister assure her no, and that George, and Daniel will be awarded the Order of Bath in two month for their services, and that Mary is invited. Then he turns serious, and tells her about the proposition, the British Government wants her to lead a team to design a space-ship that will be able to sustain hundreds of people in the event that the world comes to an end. Mary, asks why her, and that she’s old now, but Prime Minister Pearson says that since she was on the team decades ago that was tasked with designing extra large space ships before the funding got cut that she’s uniquely qualified for the job. Mary then says that she retired from the government because she was tired of the politics dogging her funding, and progress back then, but Prime Minister Pearson assures her that she has all the funding she needs, and full oversight over her own team, and she accepts.

We see the army again, and we see George, and Daniel standing again on the front line, fighting, we cut to this scene in the middle of the action, and we see the fighting, we see the bullets, and the lasers flash by, and the men falling on both sides, the Federation army is noticeably thinner now, and the men are also less energetic, and their faces look pale, probably from a lack of food. Night is beginning to fall, and eventually after pushing the Federation back miles, the fighting stops for the night. Inside their tent, George, and Daniel are getting ready for dinner, when a suited man comes to get them, they look confused, and when they’re taken into the command tent, they’re told that they’ll be getting the Order of Bath, and that they’re to fly home immediately for the ceremony. They’re both overjoyed, and as they call Mary, they find out that she already knows and she tells them after sensing their disappointment of not being able to tell her, that she’s very proud of both of them, and she tells the news that she’s working again, she can’t tell them what, and Daniel tries to pester her into talking, but she stands firm.

They’re getting on the plane, and they see William coming up to the plane, and Daniel asks him what’s he’s doing here, and William says that he’s going to see his little bro, and his best friend get knighted, and asks him if he seriously thought that he wasn’t going to come.

They’re in a grand throne room now, and George is standing in front of a regally dressed King, and we see the King knight George, and then Daniel comes up, there’s a short spiel on Daniel, and then an oath, and then Daniel is knighted. We cut to crowd, and we see Mary, and William both looking on proudly in the front row. We cut to President Snowdon who’s walking down an ornately decorated hallway, gilded paintings are hung all around the wall, and they look regal. She’s flanked by one bodyguard, and she approaches a security guard. He tells her that they can’t go further, and that it’s a restricted section, but President Snowdon just nods her head at the man, and the bodyguard shoots him, and he crumples on the ground. We see George, and Daniel being led through a bad room, to the changing rooms to get out of the robes, and George tells Daniel that he’s just going to go to the washroom, and the guide tells him that it’s just out in the hall, second door down on your left. We see George walk out of the door, and then we hear an “umph”, and a thud.

Back in the dressing room, Daniel gets suspicious as to what’s been taking George so long, and he goes to check, and finding him not in the bathroom he looks confused, and turns back to the changing rooms, but he notices just the tiniest of smears of blood on the carpet, and he raises alarm. Mary looks worried again, and William looks sombre while the rest of Palace security is furious at the kidnapping, and reviewing the security footage they find that it is President Snowdon. We see George crumpling, and then getting shoved in an abnormally large bag, the Prime Minister is alerted, and he is livid. He mumbles about how he trusted her, and how he shouldn’t have trusted such a mentally unstable, independent minded, uncontrollable woman, and mumbles on how the hell was she elected. The Palace guards report back, and say that they didn’t find any trace of her, or George.

Meanwhile, George is sitting once in front of an interrogation table, but this time it’s a makeshift one in a basement, and standing inside the room is Hillary, and a guard. Hillary is interrogating George about what he knows about Operation Obscuro, George doesn’t say anything. Hillary orders him as his President, and because he’s an American citizen to talk, but George says nothing. Hillary is infuriated, and nods to the guard, who roughs George up a bit, gives him a bit of a beating.

Meanwhile, in the palace security office, they’re reviewing tapes, and they found that Hillary took him out of the south entrance, and they scour the outside security cabs and we see President Snowdon hailing one and putting the bag with George inside it in the trunk, and then her and her body guard got inside. They run the plates, of the car, and they can only make out 5 of the 6 digits, and they cross reference that with cab numbers, and find 2 suspects. They interview each one of them, and find the one they need. They find out where he took her, and they set off in pursuit.

Now, George all bloodied up is sitting back in the chair, and Hillary is trying a different approach now, she wants to barter with him, and she tells him that she’ll tell him what happened to his parents, if he tells her about Obscuro. George just says that they died in a fire shortly after he was born, and that’s it. Hillary tells him no, and that she’ll tell him exactly what they are, traitors. George looks shocked, and hurt, and he said that it isn’t true, and they get into a mental argument, and Hillary keeps goading him, telling that they betrayed their nation, and now he can make up for that by loyally informing his nation. George looks extremely conflicted, but at that moment, the British Army barges into the room, and as the Body-Guard jumps up to protect President Snowdon, he gets shot. President Snowdon quickly bolts, and holds George in a choke, as she points a gun at his head. She then turns to William, Daniel, and the Army Officer leading the charge. The Army Office orders her to put the gun down, and she refuses, she’s almost maniacal now, and she yells out how she’s the President of the United States, clothed in immense power, and not subject to anyone.

William orders her to do the same or they’ll shoot, and she just laughs it off, and says that if you shoot her, you shoot your precious Pawn, George as well, and that they won’t risk it. William asks why she’s doing this, and that really sets her off, we see an acting showcase as President Snowdon descends almost into madness as she explains how she’s being kept out of the loop, and she’s bordering on paranoia. William repeats again, that for the sake of their common goal it was unavoidable, and that he was sorry, now if she would release George, they can sit down, and talk like real adults. That just sets her off again, she leers at them, saying how they never keep their promises, and that all they want is George, and that William is being blinded by his brother’s friendship with George. As she’s ranting, we see George quietly slip two fingers into her pocket, retrieve the biro that’s in her pocket, and he takes it out, and stabs her in the diaphragm with it, and her arms fly open (It’s the actual real response to being jabbed in the diaphragm-area), and George immediately ducks, and rungs towards the army men. Hillary surprised for a moment, quickly reacts, and begins wildly firing, and William just calmly shoot her once, and she crumples.

We see George sitting in a room, with Daniel comforting him. The door opens, and we hear the tail end of William’s conversation with the PM, as he walks into the room the PM is heard saying that, “This is a delicate situation, and we need to find a tactful way to break to the US public, and to the world that we’ve just killed their President. I’ll try and get security footage of the confrontation to back up our claim.” William enters the room, and opens his mouth to speak, but Daniel just looks at him, and shakes his head softly, and William closes his mouth again. George mumbles something about his parents, and how she (President Snowdon) said that they were traitors, and how he’s afraid that what she said was true, and how by not telling her he was just like them. Daniel comforts him, and tells him that his parents were good men, like George used to tell him, and George interjects that he doesn’t know if that’s true anymore, but Daniel presses on, and tells him that of course they were true, and that he’s an amazing friend because of their love, and their goodness, and that George’s a very good person, and that he did the right thing by not telling President Snowdon the story. George just nods, and he continues to sob a little, but we hear “And we’re all so very proud of you,” they look up and see Mary, holding a tray of tea, and biscuits. She rushes over, and hugs George, telling him that he’s a very brave man, and that she’s very proud of him. George smiles a bit tentatively, and unsurely into the hug.

We cut ahead in time, and we see George, and Daniel, and William packing back in Mary’s house, ready to go back to the front line. We see Mary in her lab, with her team of people who’ve now swollen size and rank to maybe about a hundred, and they have complex schematics, and drawings in front of them as well as various parts, and calculations. Mary is told that the prototype of the ship is ready, and her and the rest of the team go out from the lab onto the airstrip, and see the space ship, landing. It’s very large, and shiny, and easily over 200 meters long, and Mary looks very proud. We see her wishing her colleagues a good evening, and returning home, and we see them having dinner , and afterwards relaxing for one final night in the living room. The news is playing and we see a map of the current situation, the troops are almost at Moscow now, and we cut to a tribute montage of the fighting on the TV, and we join the scene itself. We see a different commander, and we see the Federation troops with barely any discipline now, just fleeing from the enemy.

We cut to the General’s office now, and we see a different General in the room, sitting down. On the walls are framed pictures of the previous generals, each one of them having a huge X drawn through them. The general earlier in the movie is scene on here. We see the HUD spring to life, and the President is on the screen, he tells the General to activate the final procedure for Operation Obscuro, and the General looks scared a bit, and the President seeing this yells at him, telling him to do his job, and if he isn’t willing to, he can get someone else who really wants the job in 5 minutes, and dispose of him just like he disposed of the previous occupant. The general gulps, and nods confirmation. The General makes a phone call, and we cut to the machine room, we see the Revelations machine, quite tall, and made completely of shiny metal, and we see two army officers inserting keys, and pressing their left thumbs onto the keypad, and as they count to three they turn the keys. The machine begins to hum into life, and we see the process that they go through to activate the machine, setting up the co-ordinates properly, programming it, and finetuning the numbers and figures, and finally the machine begins to work. We see the big center core of the Machine seemingly made of some sort of crystal come to life, shining with bright light, as the readings on all of the meters on the computers are going off the charts, and the computer screens, and displays begin to flicker, and finally die, followed by the power in the room, as everything is going towards the powerful device.

Back in London, the alarms are sounding, and we see the Prime Minister being brought in, quickly followed by William, other Generals, and a technical advisor. They confirm that the machine is powered up now, and that they need to act fast. Mary then rushes into the room, and the Prime Minister informs her of what is happening, but she says that the ship isn’t ready yet, they’ve built the prototype but it’s never been tested yet. They need at least two weeks, but the technical advisor cuts in, and says that they don’t have two weeks, maybe 12 hours at most before the earth blows. Mary asks isn’t there anyway to stop this? And, the technical advisor answers no, unless they can press into Moscow, and destroy the machine in 12 hours, and the General answers no they can’t but they can try. The Prime Minister says do that, and orders Mary to start assembling the people chosen, and to get ready to leave as soon as possible. Mary hurries off.

We see the ship now, and in all of its glory, it’s a very long easily a few hundred meters, and quite wide, and we see people filing into the ship. The ground is shaking now, just a little bit of a tremor, and we cut to the Prime Minister making a press release saying that everything will be fine, and asks people to stay calm. We see the army pressing for Moscow, and we focus on the Army commander’s map, they’re still easily 100 miles away from Moscow, and from the based, and from the commander’s tone, and mood it’s evident they won’t get there on time. Also, we see the earth shaking more noticeably here, and the troops are having a hard time moving forward.

Cutting back to the machine, we see it continuing to operate, and we zoom towards the machine and down the hole it’s bored into the earth, we see the core of the earth, all liquid. But, it’s beginning to churn, and smoke is beginning to develop, and it’s pressing against the solid mantle, causing it to tremor, already we can see cracks.

Back in London, we see the ship again, and the final people are getting loaded on, and they’re loading the last of the supplies, we see an engineer come running in, and yells hurry up, the earth won’t have much longer left. The last to board are the two air force pilots. Mary, her two sons, and William are standing beside the craft, not getting on, but the Prime Minister arrives, and tells them all to get on. William protests no, and that he has a duty to serve to his country, and the Prime Minister says no, they’ve all done enough, and they deserve to continue on with their lives, and he all but orders to them to get on. Mary, says thank-you not only for this, but for also everything keeping the boys safe, and giving her this wonderful opportunity to work on this, and slowly the four of them board the ship’s ramp and up into the ship. George and Daniel as they’re stepping in look back down at the ground uncertainly for a moment, and disappear. William turns around, and gives the Prime Minister and the other Generals a salute before getting in as well. The ship is taking off now, and Mary is in the control room with the ship’s crew to assist them. As they’re taking off, the earth begins to tremor even more now, and they’re having difficulty taking off, and they can’t seem to get the ship off the ground. Then, we hear a transmission from the control tower in the airbase, and they’re told that they need to lift off immediately, and that they have maybe an hour, two at most before the earth blows, and they have maybe 10-20 minutes before the disruption from the earth’s core makes it impossible to lift off. Mary suggests rewiring the system so that they can use the auxiliary power supplies as well, they do that, and as they’re finishing up, Mission control comes back, and tells them that they have a minute to take off before it’s too late, and the crew tries but it doesn’t seem to be working, but as people are beginning to panic, the ship begins to lift off, and they’re off. We see the ship fly higher, and higher as it eventually becomes a little dot. Cutting back to the earth we see the tremors getting worse, and worse, and we see people gathered in Trafalgar, and in other places all gathered, and mass hysteria is starting, we see people crying, and going crazy, others are drinking, and some are praying, while some just keep going on their daily lives. We also see world figures like the Prime Minister just sitting in his office, eyes closed, and the Pope praying with the masses in the Vatican, the King of England in his private chapel, and the President of the Federation sitting in his office, looking stone cold, and looking at his watch. He seems to be counting down to something, and sure enough he brings out a gun, and points it at his head, and pulls the trigger as we cut to the core we see most of the liquid is now vapour, and we see it beginning to react, and we see it explode.

We cut back to outer space, and we see the space ship, clearing the atmosphere, and they’re flying away from earth, William, George, Daniel, and Mary are looking out of one of the bay windows, and looking back at the earth, it looks normal, and peaceful from out here, like no war, and no impending doom is about to happen, and then they see the earth explode in a show of fire, lights, and the energy wave from the earth reaches the ship it jerks them forward, and they’re travelling much faster now. We see all the people on the ship sombre, some crying, and others just sitting shell-shocked, and as we cut to an outside view of the ship, we see it flying way, in its wake are some pieces of dust, and rock from the earth. The song “Letting Go”, begins to play in the background, as we cut back to George, Mary, William, and Daniel, standing together still looking out the window as a family, despite George not being related by blood, and Mary guides them away from the window, and out of the room, They have their arms around each other, as if it’s going to be okay because they have each other, and as they leave the room, Mary takes one last look out the window, and the camera follows her gaze. We see one last shot of the earth, blown to bits now, individual chunks of dirt, rock, metal, solidifying liquids, and etc. as we cut to the credits.

We see a picture of a human brain, each part color coded and labeled, projected onto a rock. “The human mind,” a rusty voice narrates. We later see that the voice is of Coach Oleander, a militant camp counselor at Whispering Rocks Summer Camp. He is with Sasha Nein and Milla Vodello, two famous psychonauts. He then goes off on an epic military speech about how the kids before him will become psychic warriors, although not all of them will be able to survive the intense psychic training that they must go through. He then goes on to tell them that if they succeed, they will become psychonauts, international psychic agents. The rest of them will die. The kids are looking at Coach Oleander, all clearly terrified. One of them, a short kid named Dogan, actually begins to cry. A girl named Lili comforts him, saying that nothing ever happens at this camp, but Bobby, yet another kid, tells him about a “lake monster” in the camp, to which he begins to cry again. Suddenly, we hear a rustling from the bushes, and everyone freaks out. “LAKE MONSTER!” Dogan cries out. Sasha, Milla, and Coach try to use psychic powers to find what’s in the bushes, and surprisingly, it’s a young boy of about 12-years, like most of the other campers. Dogan still sees him as a lake monster, even though his appearance says nothing of the sort.

“My name-” “Starts with a D!” “-Is Razputin.” Coach oleander is frustrated when he is unable to read the mind of the camp crasher. Razputin introduces himself as a kid just like the others, feared and disrespected at home for his psychic powers, but wanting to find a place where he can belong. The counselors won’t let him stay with the camp, though, even if Razputin begs them to do so. Milla plans to call his parents to pick him up, reading his mind to find out who they are. In a last ditch attempt to win them over, Raz talks about his childhood in a circus family, where his father had hated psychonauts for unknown reasons. Raz recites part of what’s on the camp brochure to use pathos and persuade the psychonauts to let him stay. Finally, Coach caves, simply saying, “Get that kid a bunk bed.” Later that night, Milla tells Raz that his father will pick him up in three days, while most kids will still be there for five weeks! Raz panics, because he only has two days to become a Psychonaut. He comes up to Dogan, who has incredible, if uncontrollable psychic powers, (He once set peoples’ heads on fire! - unintentionally, of course.) but is painfully shy and awkward. Raz becomes friends with him, telling him that he’ll be a psychonaut by the time that his father comes to pick him up. That night, he has a dream (or was it?) that he met a mysterious psychonaut named Ford Cruller. “Aren’t you the janitor of the camp?” Yes, but he’s also a psychonauts, and nobody there knows it! He liked what he did that night, so he promises to help him learn a variety of psychic powers over the next two days. Raz thinks to himself that this may be his trick to becoming a psychonaut!

The next morning, Raz decides to talk to Lili, but she’s reluctant to talk to him, coming off as aloof. However, she thinks to herself how unbelievably cute, unaware that Raz can read thoughts. She runs away, feeling embarrassed, while Raz feels just as awkward.Bobby also comes up to him, telling him “in terms he’ll understand” that he’s the strong man here. Raz mocks him, calling him the cotton candy due to his big, puffy hair. With that, Raz has knowingly becomes Bobby’s ultimate nemesis. Meanwhile, Dogan accidentally causes a squirrel to explode, claiming that it’s telling him to “kill everyone.” Soon, Coach’s basic training begins, and the counselors decide with hesitance to let Raz participate, calling him out if something bad happens to him. Raz is literally sucked into his mind by a door that Coach players on his own forehead. Raz is sucked into this military obstacle course in his head, along with all of the other psychic students. Raz is shocked as he sees a kid explode, seemingly dying. Coach tells him that he was just kicked out of his mind, but he’s still okay. Eventually, Raz must fight through the wacky obstacles in this twisted world, as figments of the coach’s imagination floats around in the background. Meanwhile, we see a suitcase crying, and Coach tells Raz to ignore it, as it’s just emotional baggage. After some intense and humorous moments, especially in competing with Bobby, but he ends up beating the course before anyone else! Raz soon becomes increasingly popular with the camp mates, and the counselors decide to let him participate in more training. For example, Milla teaches him to levitate by inviting her into the dance party in her mind. This brief scene is vivid in color. Meanwhile, Sasha shows Raz a special device known as the brain tumbler, which is able to transport people into all kinds of minds. Raz is teleported into the mental world, but the tumbler breaks, leaving Raz standing lifelessly in the real world. Sasha looks on awkwardly at what just happened.

However, Raz is still in the mental world, where he is able to meet Ford Crueller yet again. This leads to a humorous montage of Raz trying to learn all of these crazy mental powers, from pyrokinesis to clairvoyance. When Raz accidentally hits him, Ford replies, “Now try hitting something that won’t set your head on fire when it makes you angry!” After some training, Raz seems to vanish. He’s back into the real world after Sasha gets the brain tumbler starts to work again. That night, Lili talks to Raz again, still refusing to admit her true feelings for Raz, feeling to proud to do so. That night, Raz has yet another one of those may-or-may-not-dreams. This times, he hears a familiar scream. It’s Dogan’s scream. Raz runs through a creepy dirt road down to a castle, where Dogan is being treated by an extremely creepy dentist, Dr. Loboto. The bad news is that Dogan’s brain was going to be extracted right out of his body and placed into a tank of psychic energy that will destroy the world! The good news is that his insurance will cover the whole procedure. Dogan screams in the dentist chair as Dr. Loboto applies pepper to his nose. We hear Dogan about to sneeze, and he does, but in a separate shot. We then see a brain come flying towards the fall. Dogan had literally sneezed his brain out! Dr. Loboto gives a diabolical laugh, saying how this is the first big victory for Coach Oleander’s epic plan! Raz is shocked: Coach Oleander is really trying to steal everyone’s brains! Raz spends the next morning trying to find Dogan, to make sure it was just a dream. He sees Dogan outside his cabin, heading towards the mess hall. Raz asks him, without thinking, if he has his brain. “Teee-veeee,” he replies. Raz is mortified. “Must..watch...hackey...sack...on..teee...veeee..” When people lose their minds, they become obsessed with television and hackey sack! Dogan has gone mindless!

Raz tries to find Sasha and Milla, but they had to leave the camp on official psychonauts business, and there’s no one else who can help him! He talks to Lili, but he simply tells him that Dogan was always like that. Throughout the day, more kids, including Bobby, have also lost the game, and everyone at the camp is watching the Universal Ultimate Hackey Sack Battle on the camp TV. He goes to tell Ford about the issue, to which he pretends to be just like them, saying
“tee vee!” Raz screams, but Ford tells him that he was kidding. He tells him that the castle is real, and its actually on an insane asylum, located in the lake next to Whispering Rocks. In retrospect, it wasn’t probably a good idea to put a children’s camp and a place for the mentally insane right next to each other. Raz must go there and get back everyone’s brains, and this is actually the last night Raz has before his dad picks him up, so it’s really important! Raz acts strangely to going out on the water for a reason he won’t say. If something bad happens, Ford gives him a piece of bacon and hides in his ear. Shaking the bacon will cause him to jump out of his ear and give good advice! This will be a very important night.

Eventually, only Raz and Lilli are left without their minds taken from Dr. Loboto. He tells Lili about the plan, and how they’re the only ones left who can save the world! “Oh my god! Let’s make out!” Lili exclaims, but Raz is startled. Suddenly, a giant lungfish, mutated with legs, comes up to shore and grabs Lili. she begins to freak out, while Raz tries to defend her using psychic powers. The lungfish slaps Raz away, to which Lili responds in a sassy voice, “Oh no! You did not just hit my boyfriend!” “What?” Raz asks. Soon, the lungfish goes out in the water, putting Lili in its mouth. She says in the distance, “It’s not eating me! I think it’s trying to take me somewhere! Help me, Raz!” Raz goes into the water, but he begins to panic when something in the water attacks him. That’s when he remembered - there was a family curse in which his entire family cannot swim at all. He looks around for another way to help Lili, and he finds a Canoe. He goes out into the lake, but the lungfish is too deep. This negated his plan of trying to whack it repeatedly with a paddle. Sighing, he creates a psychic shield around himself to block off the water and goes in. Raz begins to fight the Lungfish, while trying to stay alive within the psychic shield. Raz eventually wins, but he decides to go into the Lungfish’s mind to see whats up.

Inside the mind of the lungfish, we see a big city, where all of the people are mutated lungfush - just like the one that took Lili. The lungfish talk and carry out their daily lives just like humans. However, we see a huge monster who steps on a building. Raz realizes that he’s a giant in this world, and he has to try very hard not to kill anymore populants of Lungfishopolis. The next scene is an parody classic monster movies. Raz stomps around the city, apologizing for any damage he causes, while he is confronted by a gang of lungfush. Fortunately, they are lungfish revolutionaries who are trying to overthrow Kocahara, an evil ruler of Lungfishopolis. Raz follows the revolutionaries, while accidentally stepping on one, to Kochamara’s central base. Raz soon finds out that Kochamara is representative of Coach Oleander (“Koch” sounds like “Coach...”) Raz realizes that this was one a normal lungfish, but it was mutated for Coach’s evil plan to take children to the insane asylum to have their brains removed! Raz soon defeats Kochamara, freeing the Lungfish from the control of Coach. The lungfush soon gives Raz a ride to the insane asylum so that he can save everyone. The lungfish soon introduces herself as Linda. Unfortunately, she had already given Lili to Dr. Loboto, and Raz must hurry in order to save her. Raz comes up to Linda and says, “no hard feelings.” After she swims away, Raz says to himself, “What a beautiful creature.”

Raz sneaks near the front gate of the asylum, but he finds a guard, Boyd, guarding the gate. Raz, realizing that he can’t talk his way into the asylum, thinks that getting into his mind could be helpful. He throws the door to minds on Boyd’s forehead, soon being sucked into a very bizarre setting. It’s like a neighborhood, except that the streets bend all over the place, and there are detectives in very small disguises, saying humorously obvious things. (For example: One detective becomes a road crew worker by holding up a stop sign. Also, one detective says, “I am a grieving widow. These are my flowers. I wish that my loved one was currently not dead.” and so on.) Raz tries to walk down the street, but he is being spied on by a group of young girl scouts, all of which are following him without his even noticing. He catches the sight of one young girl, and he begins to ask what they’re doing. “Shut up! You’re going to reveal the Milkman’s secrets!” Raz is utterly confused. He soon finds out that all of the detectives, and even the girl scouts, too, are obsessed with the milkman. Upon doing some investigation of the town, Raz realizes that the detectives are searching for the milkman, but the girl scouts are trying to protect her. Raz soon must fight the den mother of the girl scouts, who is also a crazed woman with insane powers, in order to find the milkman once and for all. Raz soon finds the milkman in a cryogenic chamber, awakened with the cult-like chanting of the litter girls. The milkman soon goes on a rampage, destroying huge parts of the neighborhood, while detectives are going like, “I am on fire. My flesh is slowly being destroyed.” “The milkman has been found. I am clearly terrified.” Raz soon gets out of his head right away, and Boyd opens the gate, seemingly bent on destroying the asylum!

Raz hurries into the asylum grounds, where he finds three insane people: One of which is a tall, thin man, who firmly believes that he’s Napoleon Bonaparte. Another is a former actress, who is actually only performing to her plants! Finally, we have a Spanish painter trying to find his ultimate inspiration. All the meanwhile, a short woman with a high voice is spying on Raz. While the three people drive Raz crazy with their problems, he begins to freak out. Raz realizes that he must help each of them face their own demons. Raz finds out that the tall man is trying to win a strategy game with the actual Bonaparte in his mind, and that he needs to have the support of all of his pieces in order to win. The actress is just terrified because she is thinking about an evil critic who trashed her work, and now he’s trying to sabotage her big show. Finally, the painter is heartbroken because his high school lover has rejected him for a more attractive matador, and he’s seeing this as a metaphor for himself being a bull. Through this amusingly awkward and fast group therapy session, while we'll see what Raz is doing in the real world rather than the mental world, we soon find that the three insane people have been cured. They begin to act normally, thanking Raz for helping them out. In return, they help Raz come up with a disguise to get past Dr. Loboto’s assistant, using a portrait of Loboto, and some other tools, to make Raz appear like the doctor himself to the assistant. Raz insists that it couldn’t possibly work, but lo and behold, it does. Raz is able to climb up to the top of the asylum, finding the missing brains of his campmates in a secret closet along the way.

Just as Raz is about to get to the top, he uses clairvoyance on Lili’s bracelet to see if she’s OK. She’s in the dentists chair, about to have her brain removed! However, Lili isn’t really scared. She’s just flat out irritated with Dr. Loboto’s nonsense. Suddenly, the female stalker of Raz tells him to stay away from Dr. Loboto, or bad things will happen. This turns out to be Sheegor, a female “Igor” and assistant to Dr. Loboto. Raz ignores her, heading up to find Sasha, Milla, & Lili all locked up. Sasha and Milla weren’t on official psychonauts business! They were captured! Fortunately, Lili did not work with the brain removing sneezing powder, due to a special “anti-allergy” that she has. Sheegor returns to Dr. Loboto, where it is revealed that he’s holding her pet turtle, Mr. Pokeylope, hostage, forcing her to work for him. Raz uses the bacon to summon Ford out of his ear to come up with a plan to stop Loboto, and he certainly gives him one. As Ford jumps back into his ear, the other three in the room stare, in a manner of “What the hell just happened?” Soon, Raz uses telekinesis from afar to free Pokeylope from his cage and back into the hands of Sheegor. Pokeylope surprisingly has a great level of intelligence, as well as a suave voice, to which he comes up with a plan to destroy Dr. Loboto. The plan involves blowing up his office and knocking him off the side of the window. Lucky enough, it works. However, we see a familiar face return - Coach Oleander.

Sasha and Milla get into a fight with Coach, pushing Raz and Lili aside and safetly onto the ground. However, we also see Boyd (in full milkman mode) coming towards the tower with bombs in each hand. One thing leads to another, and boom - the tower has exploded. We see that the others made it out safely using their special psychic powers, but Coach had already channeled his brain energy into the special tank that he was working on, where it already has the brain energy of all the other campers. (Once the energy was drained, there was little use for the actual brain, hence their being in a closer.) However, a vial of sneezing powder hits Raz, causing him to sneeze his brain out - right in the direction of the death tank. With this startling moment, Raz and Coach’s mental energies collide, causing everything to white out for a moment. Raz wakes up in the long road that he saw in his dream a day ago. He also sees a circus cart, and a child is trying to call him over. Raz enters the cart, but becomes terrified. It’s a circus - but most things are made out of meat! It’s the dreaded meat circus. Raz sees that the child was actually a younger version of Coach Oleander, and he’s terrified of his dad - the butcher. Coach’s father is a huge, aggressive, and mean butcher - and Raz comes to realize that the hatred of his father caused the inner demons of the Coach to rise up, fueling his desire for the evil plan. Raz soon realizes that that’s just the start. The butcher actually contains elements of Raz’s own father - the one that Raz ran away from to come to this camp. Raz realizes that he must fight this fusion of the fathers in order to set things right. The fight gets off to a bumpy start. Raz has a huge array of psychic powers, but the father is too strong - not to mention too big. It seems that all hope is lost for Raz, but someone else joins the fight on Raz’s side - his own father.

Raz’s father is a tall man who looks similar to Raz, except for his smaller, more stern eyes, and his short beard.Raz discovers that his father was a psychic, just like him, and he only tried to hide their psychic roots because they knew that the world was unkind to psychics, as a whole. With this bond of father and son restored, the two team up to defeat the fathers once and for all. In the end, Raz had finally helped the Coach defeat his inner demons, and the threat had been averted once and for all. The next day, Sasha, Coach, and Milla give everyone their brains back, while Coach apologizes for letting his inner demons get the best of him. He also acknowledges Raz as the hero that had helped him, and the campers cheer for him. Even Bobby, the kid who picked on Raz, has some respect for him now. On top of that, Ford Cruller comes up, surprising everyone there. Better yet, he decides that Raz is worthy of becoming a psychonaut, based on his great deeds of heroism. Raz accepts this honor, taking on a whole new look, trading his jacket and goggles for a black suit and some hair products. Later on, Raz talks to his father again, who decides to let him stay as a psychonaut, apologizing once again for the way he was. Meanwhile, Raz and Lili finally confess their love for each other, and the two kiss. However, the peace doesn’t last for long. Lili’s father, who was also the head of the psychonauts - has been kidnapped! In the end, we see Lili, Raz, Coach, Sasha, Milla, and Ford board a huge plane that comes out right under the base of the camp, and it takes off in the direction of the audience. The psychonauts have a new mission.

Plot: A tale of many people, rich and poor, elegant and foolish, but all eccentric.

PART 1: THE NECESSARY EXPOSITION

Every story, be it in a book or a movie, begins with an exposition of the characters and settings that are critical to the story, and we will do the same. This is the story of a girl named Elizabeth Silvette. A gifted child from the day of birth (Her first world was “ridiculous”) , her parents, who happen to own a large tea company, had only given her the best, thanks to the fact that her parents are very rich, yet good natured. They enrolled her in the finest private schools from pre-school to college. With these schools, we see her writing formal papers at age seven and experimenting with dangerous chemicals at age 11. By the time she is 19 years old, she had already graduated from college. Currently, she lives at an apartment building at Belmond Lane, and she works as the manager of the town’s local movie theater. She is still waiting to find her true direction in life, however, hence why she decided to begin her adult life in a small town with a simple job (considering what she is capable of). It is also the story of John Jones. Born to a scientific father and a book-loving mother, John had also gone on to become an intellect, although he was rather mischievous with his great knowledge, pulling elaborate practical jokes on his friends. Now, he was 40, and he is struggling in life, due to his dream of selling bizarre antiques isn’t going so well. He works with Louis, a clever man, but a foolish drunk. He meanwhile lives at the same apartment building as Elizabeth does, though the two have never met until now. This is where our story begins.

PART 2: THE RISING ACTION: CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
At the apartment building, we see the doorman, Peter, sitting behind the main desk. He is clearly bored, trying to kill time by reading a sci-fi novel. We see Elizabeth soon coming into the apartment, as she asks Peter about any current news. He talks about the interesting gossip of the town, although he is still generally uninterested in what he is saying. This leads to Elizabeth and Peter having an amusing tangent about how gossip is generally uninteresting in comparison to the exciting developments that people are learning about each day. She goes up to her apartment, where there are several bookshelves with films, books, and music records, and she writes in her journal about her daily work at the theater, where a matinee of a childrens’ animated film (The Adventures Of The Woodland Friends) was being shown. She was happy to see the children enjoy the movie, although she did not care for it herself. Meanwhile, John is at his antique shop in the outside of town, where Louis soon comes in. John can tell that Louis has had a lot to drink, so his voice is a little messy. Louis tells him that there is a girl that John might like in his next door apartment - Elizabeth. John realizes that she was the daughter of a wealthy couple, but Louis insists that its actually because she is very smart, just like him. Louis tells him more about Elizabeth as they drive back to his apartment. Louis insists on driving in the first shot, all though John insists that it’s not a good idea. Louis will vow that even in his state, he has a high level of intellect. Before he finishes his sentence, we see a shot of him riding as a passenger to John, where he begins to say that it was intelligent not to let himself drive. As the two arrive at John’s apartment, they decide to come up with a plan to catch Elizabeth’s attention.

John is going to simply knock on her apartment door and say hi, but Louis thinks that the event should be memorable, and John’s original attempt would be rather uninteresting. Louis puts a giant drum on the table in the apartment, and he begins to bang on it. His thought is that Elizabeth will come to the apartment and ask him to be quieter, and this will give him the opportunity to talk to her. Indeed, Elizabeth comes into his apartment, asking him to keep quieter with the drums. John says OK, also apologizing. Elizabeth forgives him, and she goes back to her own apartment. “Wait a minute, that wasn’t supposed to happen.” He tells Louis to start banging on the drums again, and Elizabeth soon comes back, this time feeling more frustrated. John accidentally tells her that he’s trying to get her attention in a unique way, and he could use some company. Elizabeth looks at Louis, who is just tapping on the drum now. “The other kind of company,” John says. Elizabeth understands what John is going at, and the two decide to talk. The two sit down and have a basic conversation. John also shows her a collection of tiny figurines that he has, depicting a variety of odd characters. Sometimes, he makes stop motion silent films using these figurines, proceeding to show one to Elizabeth. Meanwhile, Louis is leaving back for his own home, while Doorman Peter decides that it’s probably best for him not to drive. Louis gets into a comical moment of frustration as to how the world thinks that he is incapable of driving to an address so simple as his home. Soon after, we see Peter driving Louis to his apartment. Later that night, Elizabeth calls her parents on her telephone, telling them about John. The parents are currently both receiving spa treatments, and they are too laid back to care about the friendship that is blooming between their daughter and an odd 40-year old man.

The next day, Elizabeth writes in her journal about John, giving him a description in clear Wes Anderson style and noting that her feelings toward him are not that of love. Rather, it is something simpler, much like a strong sense of concord. It’s hard to describe, since she had never felt this way about another person before. Even in her school years, she was picked on for being oddly smart, even at her prestigious school. Perhaps it was this social exclusion that drove her to being who she is today. Of course, she would have been hesitant to have lived her life in another way. Her clever mind was always one of her finest assets, and she enjoys being as smart as she was. However, it is also comforting to find someone else in this world, especially one that lived next door, who actually shared some common bond. All the meanwhile, John is writing in his own journal, describing Elizabeth and sharing the same sentiments about their eccentricity bringing them closer together. This feeling was mutual in its apparent lack of feeling definite love, but companionship.

The next day, we see Elizabeth and John sitting on a park bench. The two are continuing to talk about their unique views on all kinds of things, also taking observations of the beauty than can be found when resourceful architecture and the aesthetic of nature combine. In a few moments, John and Elizabeth do a variety of activities in their town, set to british rock music of the 1960s. The montage cumulates into them sitting at a rooftop patio at a fine restaurant, where piano music kicks in. “You know,” John says, “If they made a movie about us, this past day would have likely had to have been a montage.” Elizabeth nods, noting the interesting observation about their day. We later see a waiter come up to their table, who thinks that they are in love with each other. John simply tells them that it’s not the case, but the waiter understands that they are just shy. Elizabeth then chimes in, that they are actually not dating. They are just friends. Later on the patio, where other romantic couples are sitting, (hence the confusion that the waiter has) there is an extravagant fireworks display, and while the other couples kiss at this scene, John and Elizabeth simply shake hands.

PART 3: THE RISING ACTION: THE BELATED INTRODUCTION OF CENTRAL CONFLICT
Elizabeth is in her bed, and the telephone rings. She picks it up, not removing the mask over her eyes. It’s her parents. They tell her that they have struck a deal with another company, and the two have now combined. To make peace between the two families, the Silvettes have arranged for Elizabeth to marry Albert, the son of the other family. Elizabeth is shocked. She is not in love with John Jones, but that does not mean that she wants to get married to a man that she didn’t even meet before. Mr. Silvette immediately negates this, referring to how she had met him at a party a few years ago. However, this meeting was merely Elizabeth and Albert saying “Hi” to each other. Elizabeth is still frustrated, but her parents have already told her that Albert is a very nice person, and they share a lot of the same interests. They soon hang up, realizing that they had paid to go on a luxurious yacht for the day. Elizabeth takes off her mask, looking at the audience. She had no idea what to say. We see her still looking at the screen as she goes through her daily activities, from picking up groceries to working at the theater. She finally returns to her apartment, where John, Peter, and Louis have a surprise party planned for her. They are happy for her marriage, although Elizabeth tells her that she’s unhappy about it. “Well, in that case...” Louis takes the cake and drops it on the floor. John then tells Elizabeth that it won’t be that bad. Even if she has to marry someone she isn’t sure that she loves, she can still stay here, maybe relocating the family company here as well. Immediately after this is said, the phone rings. It’s Elizabeth’s parents again. They tell her that they forgot to mention that she’ll be living with them again after the marriage, and that she’ll have to leave her apartment building. They’ll be going to pick her up in three days, and the wedding will be in a month. After a pause of silence, Louis also takes down the “Congratulations!” banner.

Two days later, Elizabeth and John are back on the bench where they had talked earlier. Elizabeth feels upset about the fact that it will be hard for the two to be together again. Elizabeth notes that John seems rather poor, and his store is about to close for good, due to a lack of business. Amidst this sad conversation, Elizabeth realizes that this is becoming too melancholy. They need to talk about something interesting, like art. They spend one last day at the art museum, and a more melancholy version of the montage music from earlier comes on. Elizabeth and John both note that this music seems familiar, and it almost sounds like the music that played when Elizabeth and John had first met. While the music still plays, we see that Elizabeth is packing the last of her goods, ready to leave with her family in the morning. The next day, a cab pulls up to the apartment, and Mr. and Mrs. Silvette come out, in exquisite formal wear. Upon seeing Elizabeth, they hug her, and they tell her that they must return to the road immediately. They have big plans for this wedding. Elizabeth bids farewell to Peter and Louis, and she glances at John one more time. The two shake hands just before she gets into the car. Elizabeth looks out the window of the car as it heads towards an airport. We then see her look out the window of her airplane. Soon, Elizabeth meets Albert again in the New England coastal town where they are to get married. In their conversation, she realizes that Albert doesn’t want to marry her either, and she just wants to be an eccentric mind, wondering this world as he wishes. The two are still forced into a position where they must passively try on suits and dresses and participate in wedding planning, simply because both of their parents want this to be the case. They even take a picture where neither the bride nor the groom looks happy, and this is the invitation.

Back at the city, things aren’t going so well. John’s store has been closed down. Louis has been arrested for getting into a drunken fight after a debate on classical music went horribly awry. Peter is forced to deal with an excessively obnoxious woman who had moved into Elizabeth’s old apartment. John, in an ironic twist, is now annoyed by the loud music that is coming from the other apartment. He retrieves his journal, remembering his close friendship with Elizabeth. Now, she’s going to get married in two days to a man she doesn’t even know, let alone love. (Remember, John knows little of their first encounter.) Elizabeth calls him again, asking if he got the invitation to the wedding. We see the invitation again, and that John probably can’t make it. Elizabeth tells him that while she does not want the marriage to happen, Albert seems like a decent person, and he’s equally opposed to the wedding. Thus, it wouldn’t have been a very exciting wedding anyways. She hopes that he is doing well, and she will call him again soon. Later on, John pays a visit to Louis in the local jail. Louis actually has great news. If he leaves tonight, John can actually make the wedding. Louis knows an engineering secret that causes a car to go extremely fast. Unfortunately, this means that he will have to break him out of jail. John grudgingly agrees, hesitant about what may come that night. He leaves his apartment in a black ski-mask, telling Peter that he’s going to be an accomplice in a prison break and then proceed to go to a wedding. “Have fun,” Peter says.

We then see a prison break sequence, done in Anderson style of course, where John disguises as a guard and carries out Louis. The sirens soon go on full effect, and Louis and John escape to the car. Louis doesn’t actually know an engineering secret. He just wanted to give moral support to John - and to get out of jail. John is furious, but that’s not the most important thing. They soon step on it, and the police chase him out of town. We later see the car drive up to the wedding. It’s time to rescue Elizabeth - or is it?

PART 4: THE CLIMACTIC SCENE, FOLLOWED BY DENOUEMENT
The wedding on the beach goes off to a rather uninteresting start. The parents of Albert and Elizabeth are far more excited about this ordeal than any of the children are. Eventually, we arrive to the point where it is essentially the question of, “does anyone object to this marriage?” Elizabeth speaks up, entering a monologue about her true feelings, which she was hiding this whole time. Her dad tells her to stand down, as she’s ruining the moment. However, her mom believes that she could be onto something memorable. She reveals to everyone that she doesn’t love Peter. While she has a strong foundation of friendship recently developed towards him, this does not associate with the fact that the two must get married. This isn’t a period piece, and this is a time where family agreements do not have to involve the marriage of children. Meanwhile, Albert nods in agreement with most of what she says. She also reveals her life with John, one of the most wonderful minds that she had ever met, and how she just wants to be with him for this moment in her life, rather than lose it all so soon. She has to insist that John is a friend, due to the fact that some thought that she implied love in her speech. “Thank you, and have a nice day.” She walks back down the aisle and onto the coastal streets. We then see everyone applaud Elizabeth’s speech, referring to it as surprisingly beautiful. This causes Elizabeth to turn around, looking at everyone in surprise. Mr. and Mrs. Silvette realize that this marriage was unnecessary, and they apologizes for forcing this on her. Soon, a giant car comes into the beach, and people run away in terror. Elizabeth is ecstatic to see that the man in the car is John. Louis realizes that they had come in a rather odd fashion, but he coaxes John to talk to her. The two are pleased to see each other again, and John offers Elizabeth to ride along the beach in the car. Elizabeth invites Albert to come with him, and he does. Everyone at the wedding watches as the four take off in the car. Elizabeth asks why Louis is here, if John told her that he was in jail. John tells her about the breakout. Elizabeth says that that probably explains the police cars that are pursuing them. Everyone is calm for a moment, but they soon come to their senses in terror. We later see all four of them in a prison cell. Elizabeth says, “Well, this did not go as I would have liked it to.”

We soon find out that the parents had paid for the bail of all four, and things begin to change for the better. John is able to get the shop running again after a generous loan from the Silvettes and the Brownes. Louis tricks the obnoxious apartment woman into getting into a drunken fight, landing her in jail. Elizabeth is allowed to live in the same town, and John and Elizabeth continue to be friends to this very date. In an ironic twist, Elizabeth and Albert decide to get married in a second attempt at a wedding, and no one gets arrested this time. We then see a party at Elizabeth’s apartment, and all of the film’s characters are present. We then go up to the stars in the sky, where the end credits come on in Futura font, of course.

Plot Summary: An adaptation of the award-winning anime.

Plot:

Mike Koyod is a young college student at UCLA with a gift in mathematics and a part-time moderator in the massive computer-simulated virtual reality world OZ along with his roommate Tom Smith. Invited by Natalie O’Hara to participate in the 90th birthday of her great-grandmother Susan Jain, Mike travels with her to Susan's estate in Kentucky. While there, Natalie introduces Mike as her fiancé to Susan. Mike meets several of Natalie’s relatives and discovers that the Jains are descendants of a famous highwayman who challenged the sheriffs in the Old West. He also meets Wyatt Jain, Natalie's half-granduncle and a computer expert who has been living in Japan since stealing the family's fortunes 10 years ago.

Mike receives an e-mail with a mathematical code and cracks it. Love Machine, an artificial intelligence in the OZ infrastructure, uses Mike’s account and his avatar to invade the infrastructure, causing widespread damage. Mike, Natalie’s cousin Ken Instig and Tom confront Love Machine. Love Machine defeats Ken’s avatar King Kazma and continues to steal accounts, creating catastrophic traffic congestions and disabling electrical devices. Two of Susan’s relatives, Rachel and Scott Jain, discover Mike's involvement. Scott arrests Mike, but Natalie has them return to the estate due to the ongoing traffic congestions.

Recognizing the situation as akin to war, Susan calls her associates in important positions in the government and her relatives who work in emergency services. She encourages them to work their hardest to reduce the potential chaos and damage that could have occurred. Mike is able to return control of the virtual world to the moderators and engineers. Wyatt reveals that he created Love Machine and sold the program to the Japan Self-Defense Forces for a test run. After an argument with Susan, Wyatt leaves the estate. Susan later encourages Mike to take care of Natalie during a poker game; and Mike and the Jains, running to Susan’s bedside the next morning, find Susan dead. Her youngest son Manfried Jain reveals she had angina and Love Machine had deactivated her heart monitor. Mike, Tom, and most of the Jains initiate a plan to defeat Love Machine using a supercomputer with ice blocks as a coolant while Natalie and the others prepare a funeral for Susan.

Mike, along with Tom and the others, capture Love Machine. However, Shota carries the ice blocks to Susan's body causing the supercomputer to overheat; whereupon Love Machine empowers itself and assimilates King Kazma; then redirects the Lincoln Asteroid Probe onto a collision course with a nuclear power plant. At the same time, Natalie discovers a will left by Susan before reuniting with Mike and the rest of the group. Natalie has Wyatt return home before the family reads Susan's will, asking them to bring Wyatt back to their lives. Realizing that Love Machine sees everything as a game, Mike has the Jains play poker with Love Machine in OZ's casino world, wagering their accounts in a desperate attempt to stop Love Machine. Natalie wins several rounds, but gets distracted and nearly loses her "winnings".

However, OZ users worldwide enter their own accounts into the wager on Natalie's side. Natalie critically damages Love Machine, but the artificial intelligence redirects the satellite towards a collision on Susan's estate. Mike hacks into the probe's GPS, but is unsuccessful. To circumvent Love Machine, Wyatt disables its defenses, distracting it long enough for King Kazma to be revived and assisted by several Jain family avatars before destroying Love Machine. Mike activates the GPS code and redirects the sattelite away from the estate. The satellite's impact destroys the estate's entrance and causes a geyser to erupt. The Jain family, celebrating their victory as well as Susan's birthday, has Natalie kiss Mike after confessing their love to each other.

Santa Claus: Ultimate Badass

"He's coming to town, and he's coming for the kill."

Genre: Comedy/Action/Horror

Date: November 19th

Theaters: 3,095

Director: Scott Sanders

Cast: Billy Bob Thorton (Santa Claus), Mila Kunis (Mrs. Claus), Samuel L. Jackson (Jingle), Max Greenfield (The King Of Evil), Tom Kenney (Bruiser), Channing Tatum (Cupid), Michael Jai White (Martin Luther King Jr.), Jason Statham (The Easter Bunny), Jason Sudekis (George Washington)

Rating: R for strong bloody violence throughout, pervasive language including crude sexual humor, sexual content, nudity, and drug use

Runtime: 102min (1hr, 42min)

Plot Summary: Santa must save the universe from The King Of Evil, but you've never seen a Santa like this!

It's Christmas eve, and Santa is out delivering all of his presents to the good kids. The narrator uses expletives in referring to naughty children. Save the narration, it's pretty much like most Christmas movies. Santa drops off gifts, eats cookies, and practices ultimate stealth. However, when he gets to one house, a werewolf is stalking him from a nearby bush. Just as he is about to go down the chimney, Santa notices the werewolf, and he becomes very aggravated. "Come out, you little *$%#!!" The werewolf attacks, and the two get into an epic, bloody brawl on the rooftop. A little boy wakes up. "Santa's here!" he yells excitedly. He runs down the stairs as Santa continues to fight the werewolf. However, just before he looks at the fireplace, Santa takes out a machete and is about to slice the werewolf's head off. Just then, we see the head fall down the chimney, and the boy screams in terror. He runs up the stairs crying before Santa goes down, stepping on the head one last time. He puts a blood covered present under the tree and takes in a warm glass of milk, immediately after adding some alcohol to it. "There's a reason my suit is red," Santa says.

Later on, Santa arrives back at the North pole, and everyone is ecstatic to see him once again. The elves, who look mostly like adults, get rowdy in cheering for Santa's successful night, and a wild party erupts across the entire North Pole. Meanwhile, at Santa's Workshop, which looks essentially like a warehouse, Santa and his wife, Mrs. Claus, have a chat. Mrs. Claus is sad that Santa had to get into another bloody fight with monsters again. "You see, I've got two jobs: making children happy and appearing decent to society, and ripping the bleeping heads of monsters to prevent them from killing everyone." Well, the major job was done for the year, and the second job only occurred sometimes. Santa remembers his first monster killing to Mrs. Claus, animated like the old stop motion Christmas cartoons. A teenage Santa is creating a bloody mess, fighting all kinds of monsters and bad guys in a secretive area of China, overlooked by a wise, elf-looking elder. The two laugh about these memories, and they just hope that no more monsters will attack for a while. Of course, the two have sex later that night, and some perverted elves watch on, laughing and cheering.

Meanwhile, we see a fiery hall at the center of the Earth, and a man, the (self proclaimed?) King Of Evil is listening to heavy metal while watching monsters killing people in B-movies. We see that this person is kind of a giant a-hole, acting like a complete jerk and tool towards everyone around him. He sees a minion, an odd creature, come in and tell him that Santa had once again killed one of their finest operatives. The King becomes initially shocked, but he soon becomes pissed off. He first orders the minion to be beheaded, not giving a crap about the "Don't shoot the messenger" rule. (I told you he was a jerk.) Then, he wants to come up with the ultimate plan to not only finish off Santa Claus for good, but also to destroy the universe. An advisor of the king says that this is quite a step up, and he's not certain if the king is truly being rational. The King retaliated by saying that if he's the king, then he can do what he wants. Besides, in destroying the world, they would place themselves in their own world. The advisor doesn't understand the logic in this, but the King just says that he's working on it.

We later see a cheerful village in Switzerland. Kids are playing in the snow, people are yodeling with secretly provocative lyrics, and people are just acting happy, and in the spirit of the season. We see one man, pushing a cart of bread, but he is attacked from the side by a mysterious creature. Everyone panics when they see the body, and even more when it's revealed to be a vampire. Several creates soon come up and attack the town, as people are running and screaming. As an evil dragon is about to set fire to a building, we see a man speaking in German, saying, "Oh no! The building is burning! Showing it in the movie will also make this too expensive!" Everything was in a state of terror, and news reports all over the world, some portrayed in a silly manner, depicting the tragedy in Switzerland. Most newscasters are laughing at the reports of witnesses, even though they are true. Santa and the elves at the north pole see this and become rather agitated. The monsters are back to attack, and Old St. Nick's going to have to finish them off for good.

Over the next scene, we see Santa meeting up with two elves. One of which, Jingle, is a foul mouthed weapons expert, and the second one, Bruiser, is a silly and constantly happy elf, probably because he’s often high. Note the ironic placement of names. Santa Claus asks for analysis on the current situation, as well as advice on what weapons to use for his strike against The King of Evil and his minions. Jingle presents him with a huge series of weapons, some of which are hilariously ridiculous. The two elves have also worked on a mechanism to attach machine guns to each of the reindeer. Santa is impressed with this arsenal, and he decides that it’s time to come to town. They travel back to Paris, France, where a big chain of Zombies is about to attack. Pretty soon, it becomes a bloodbath in the city as the citizens and tourists in Paris are running away from the zombie horde. In a few moments, however, Santa swoops in and begins to kill all of the zombies! Meanwhile, Mrs. Claus is shooting up zombies with her handgun, and Jingle & Bruiser are killing zombies with their own weapons. In the end, Paris is saved, although no one believes that Santa Claus did the saving.

Shortly afterward, The King Of Evil has a temper tantrum in his awesome lair. Santa and his army just had a major victory. He soon realizes that he must continue to keep fighting Santa’s army (in a variety of cliched battles set in major cities.) His advisor tells him that he’s just being cliched. He should do something more original. The King casually shoots him in the face, killing him instantly. Over the course of the middle third of the film, Santa keeps winning battles against the evil forces, and The King Of Evil keeps preparing for his ultimate strike against the entire universe. After getting back to the North Pole from a major victory, Santa is shocked to find a ransom note from The King Of Evil. “I’ve got your sexy wife. For every day you don’t surrender, I’m going to...” Santa vomits as he keeps reading this. He realizes that he must prepare all of his forces to save his wife, as well as the entire universe. He is soon joined by The Easter Bunny, The Leprechaun, Cupid, Martin Luther King Jr., George Washington, The Thanksgiving Turkey, and The Headless Horseman. These are some of the most badass heroes that the world has been protected by, and they are all teaming up to save the entire universe. It is now go time.

What follows is the most epic battle the universe has ever witnesses, one that is extremely gory. The Holiday heroes and their armies are attacking the monsters of the King. Meanwhile, we see Santa try to find his wife in the lair of the King. He does find her, but she is tied to the King’s bed. The King of Evil soon finds him, and an epic battle soon begins. In the end, Santa slashes the King in half using the most badass sword ever imagined. Upon his defeat, all of the evil monsters vanish into thin air, as does any trace of the destruction that he caused. As this is happening, Santa and Mrs. Claus make out near the King’s mutilated, dead body. In the end, no one understands what had truly happened, but Santa knows that he will still protect the world from people who only want to mess things up. His final monologue is laced with profanity, and Santa imagines what his next challenge will be. We then see the ad for a new toy, a cute little monster that says, “Tell everyone that you want me for Christmas!” the monster then shifts to a freakishly evil face and voice, saying, “OR I WILL KILL THE ONES YOU LOVE.”

Plot Summary: Edward Tulane is a china rabbit given to a ten-year-old girl named Abilene by her grandmother. He enjoys a pleasant but vain life with his young mistress, who treats him with the utmost love and respect, until an unfortunate incident finds him falling overboard while vacationing on an ocean liner. Edward spends 297 days in the ocean's depths, until a passing fisherman and his buddy pulls him free. Edward is passed from hand to hand of a succession of life-altering characters, such as a hobo and a girl with pneumonia and her brother. Edward's journeys not only take him far from home, but even farther from the selfish rabbit he once was.

Plot (by the way, it’s VERY SLOW, but picks up pace): On a bright sunny day, we see a 1950s suburban neighborhood. We then cut to a bedroom shelf with many dolls. One of them is a china rabbit, named Edward Tulane. Edward is dressed with fine knit clothes and leather boots. A girl named Abilene comes into the room and sets a stopwatch. She puts the stopwatch and Edward on a bed, then says “When the big hand hits the twelve and the little hand hits the three, I will come home for you.” Abilene kisses Edward on the ear and goes to school.

Then Edward starts telling us about himself, such as he likes the night so he can see his shadow, he is treated as a human in Abilene’s house, and how Abilene’s grandmother Pelligrina knit all his clothes and ordered the finest materials. The narrator also tells us about dramas that happen so often, like how the neighbor’s dog Rosie breaks into the house. Rosie starts to tug at Edward’s clothes and pisses on the table. Abilene’s mom tells Rosie to drop Edward, referring to Edward as “it.” One night, Abilene’s parents announce they will take a cruise to England via the Queen Mary. However, Pelligrina will not be coming. Edward is not listening, as he does not care about anyone else but himself.

After dinner, Pelligrina decides to tell Abilene a story. The story is about a princess who was very beautiful (this scene cuts to 2D animation), but did not love anyone or care about anyone, even though there were many who loved her. One day, a prince asks her to marry him. He gives the princess a ring, but the princess swallows the ring and runs into the forest. She makes her way to a witch’s cabin, where she asks a witch for help. In response, the witch asks “Who do you love?” The princess says, “I love no one. Why would I love?” The witch says “You disappoint me,” and turns the princess into a warthog. Eventually, the princess is killed by the king’s men for dinner at the castle. The chef then finds the ring inside of the warthog, then puts it on her hand. The story ends (and the scene cuts back to live-action) and Abilene asks, “That can’t be the end of the story!” to which Pelligrina responds, “How can a story end if there is no love?” then she turns the lights out and wishes Abilene good night, and says to Edward, “You disappoint me.”

The scene cuts to the family going onboard the Queen Mary, with Pelligrina waving goodbye, but glaring at Edward. As the family boards the ship, they marvel at the sights, while other travelers comment on Edward’s fashion. Abilene starts to make friends on the ship, including two boys named Amos and Martin. The two boys become interested in Edward and decide to take off his clothes and play catch. When Abliene discovers, she fights for the rabbit before she knocks it out of Martin’s hand and into the ocean.

As Edward falls in the ocean, we hear his thoughts, “How does a china rabbit die? Can a china rabbit drown? Is my hat still on my head?” He starts to sink to the bottom of the ocean, before resting at the bottom.

Edward thinks, “I will pretend I’m on Abilene’s bed, waiting for the big hand to reach the twelve and the little hand to reach the third. She will come home.”

We cut to the top of the ocean, where days, weeks, and months. As a superimpose says 297 DAYS LATER, we see back at Abilene’s home, where the family is listening on the radio that a hurricane known as Cleo has turned into a Category 5 hurricane and is heading towards Africa. Abilene is sitting there, sad and disappointed about Edward. We then cut back to Edward, who lifts off the bottom of the ocean and begins to thrash in the hurricane. For a long time, he continues to thrash before the hurricane passes and he starts to sink. Edward thinks, “Please, I don’t to go back down there.” To his safety, a fisherman catches Edward with his net. His friend fisherman comment on him being a “rabbit toy,” and one of them, Lawrence decides to keep it, and puts it in his backpack.

We cut to him leaving the dock as the boat has docked and going to his car. As he drives his car, Lawrence describes Nellie to Edward as a “fragile woman, but an all-right girl.” When Lawrence arrives, he shows Edward to Nellie, who immediately loves him and decides to call him “Susanna.” As she dresses him up in women’s clothes, Edward thinks, “I am mortified.” However, he adapts to his new name and environment. Every dinner, Nellie would always tilt his ears up so Edward could hear the conversations. Nellie also tells Edward about her children, like Lolly the secretary, Ralph, who is in the Marines, and Raymond, who died of pneumonia when he was only five years old. Edward listens to Nellie politely, as he knows he has found a home. Lawrence also tells Edward about the constellations in the sky, suh as Pegasus and Cassiopeia. Edward loves looking up at the stars and finds the names of the constellations interesting. He sometimes thinks of Pellegrina, watching him with her glowing eyes. When putting Edward to bed, Nellie sings a lullaby about a mockingbird that would not sing and a siamond ring that would not shine, and her voice soothes him.

One day, Nellie’s daughter Lolly comes for a visit. Lolly find Edward nice at first, but begins to show a hatred when more attention is being directed towards Edward. One day, she lies to Nellie she’s going to do errands, when really she decides to throw Edward into the dump. He thinks, “Nellie. Lawrence.”

At the dump, a man named Ernest finds Edward and gives speechs to him about how the world is made of garbage and how he is the king of the world, before leaving him the dump pile. He becomes buried under there, as a month passes until a dog named Lucy finds him under a pile of trash. Ernest tries to shoo Lucy, but the dog runs away with Edward. Lucy takes Edward back to her mentor, Bull. Bull mistakes Edward for a real rabbit, but realizes that he is a china rabbit after looking into Edwards eyes. Bull calls Edward Malone, and decides to have Edward trek with him and his group of hobos.

Malone says they are going nowhere, but “that is the irony of our constant movement.” When Bull and Lucy sleep, Edward looks at the sky, imaging Lawrence telling him about the constellations. Sometimes, Bull tell campfire stories with his group of hobos and even sings. Edward loves it when Bull sings, and is grateful that he has found another safe home. Bull decides to make clothes for Edward by ripping his own clothes. One night, Bull and Lucy travel on a freight train with Edward, though the train conductor does not want them on board. The conductor notices Edward, but mistakes him for an actual rabbit and throws him out the window. As Lucy barks for Edward, and the crickets begin to chirp, Edward begins to cry in his head.

Later, an old woman finds Edward on the ground and names him Clyde. She hangs Edward to a pole and decides to make him a scarecrow. As the birds fly around him, he imagines one to be Pellegrina, who continues to swarm around him all day. The next day, the old woman brings a boy named Bryce to work in the fields. Bryce works for money to buy food for his family. The old woman tells Bryce to get away from Edward, but Bryce continues to look at him. Eventually, Bryce decides to steal Edward from the old woman to bring him home.

Bryce introduces Edward to Sarah Ruth, his sister whose sick with pneumonia. Sarah originally had a baby doll made of china, but Bryce’s abusive father broke it with his foot while he was drunk. The house Bryce and Sarah live in is very small, and Edward mistakes it for a chicken coop at first. Bryce gives Sarah Edward, who is delighted to have Edward and usually rocks him back and forth, while Bryce plays on the harmonica. Sarah names Edward Jangles, and treats Edward as a baby.

When the father finds out about how Bryce got fired from his job for stealing the “scarecrow,” the father beats him and begins to treat him with cruelity. Some days the father came back, but some days the father didn’t. The father knows Sarah will die, which is why he does not get any medical health and instead spends it only on beer. As the months pass, Sarah gets worse. When she coughs, she coughs blood. When she breathes, it is ragged, and uncertain. One day, Sarah Ruth stops breathing, and dies. When the father finds out, he and Bryce have a huge argument, to which Bryce leaves the house and runs away. He decides to bring Edward to Memphis to serve as a “puppet dancer.”

Although Bryce tries to earn money, he fails to make money as people think it’s too stupid that a rabbit dances. One time, Edward sees Pelligrina on the street, to which she stares at Edward with deep, dark eyes. Bryce decides to get dinner at a diner called Neal’s. Bryce orders pancakes, eggs, steak, toast, and coffee. After Bryce eats, he realizes that he does not have enough money to pay for the meal. The cook, Neal, comes out and argues with Bryce about the money. Bryce decides to pay for the money by having Edward dance for Neal. Disgusted, Neal takes Edward and throws him against the counter, smashing his head into a million pieces.

Edward wakes up facing a mendor in a doll store. The man tells himself to be Lucius Clarke, who just mended Edward’s head after his fatal accident. He decides to place Edward on the shelf of his “antique dolls” in his store. One day, Bryce makes his way into the store, as he brought Edward to Lucius. Since Bryce can still not pay for the repair, he makes a deal with Lucius; he may look at him once, but he must leave and never come back. Edward thinks, “Please, don’t go,” but Bryce leaves.

Edward meets other dolls (now animated in CGI) and begins to talk. The other dolls annoy him, but one day a new doll is placed on the shelf and talks to Edward about her life story. When the doll says she loved her owners greatly, Edward says he originally loved no one. The doll responds, “If you have no intention of loving or being loved, then the whole journey is pointless.” She gets bought the next week by a young girl, with the promise that “Someone will come. Just open your heart.” (Reverts back to regular form) Edward waits for years and years before one day, and young girl and her mother enter the store. The young girl points to another doll, but the woman recognizes Edward. It turns out she is Abilene, and convinces her daughter to take home Edward.

TWO HORNY TIME TRAVELERS.

Cut to Bobby and Tommy at a bar. They are drinking away their sorrows when their nerdy friend Newton comes in the room, and talks to them for a bit. The topic of careers comes up, and Bobby reveals he was just laid off. Tommy says he’s never had a job, and then orders another beer. Newton looks at them like they’re crazy, and then leaves, saying his life is great, since he’s recently got a girlfriend and he just got accepted for a job at a major research lab. Bobby and Tommy look at each other, and they begin talking about how they wish they weren’t alone in the world. The two head back to their apartment, which is revealed to be shared by the two of them, as Tommy tries to overcome his alcoholism.

A montage begins, showing Bobby getting a job as a high school janitor, allowing him to support the two of them. Tommy overcomes his alcoholism after five years, and then the two of them begin going out on double blind dates. They meet plenty of crazy people, but none of them are compatible. On one date though, they go out with Jane and Julia, two nice women who love them as well. They go on a few dates, but then Jane and Julia break it up, with Jane revealing she is married, and with Julia revealing she is engaged. After some initial heartbreak, Bobby and Tommy move on, and Tom gets a job as a bartender.

The years pass, and about twenty-five years after the incident at the bar, the two men, now going by Bob and Tom, are bitter and alone, just working through the days. They run into their old friend Newton, who looks completely different thanks to plastic surgery. Newton is revealed to have married Julia, much to Tom’s chagrin. Newton then invites Bob and Tom over his house while Julia is out of town. After some deliberation, Bob and Tom decide to go, just because there’s free food. After they have cheeseburgers, Newton reveals something big to Bob and Tom. He has invented a time machine which he plans to use to fix history’s greatest disasters. Newton says that he is telling Bob and Tom this because they were only his only friends ever. Bob and Tom call bullsh*t on Newton.

Suddenly, a man wearing only boxers pops out of thin air and lands on the dining room table. The man stands up and claims to be Newton from the future. The future Newton says that he has come back to tell Bob and Tom that time travel does work, and that they better have enjoyed the cheeseburger. Future Newton then disappears, with Newton commenting that it must be a new model. Bob and Tom then come up a great idea. They ask Newton if they can use his time machine to go back in time to make their younger selves find love. Newton is apprehensive, and he warns them that once they go back in time, they won’t ever be able to back to the present time of Year 30. Bob and Tom don’t care, saying that there’s nothing in the current time for them now.

Newton takes them down to his basement, leading them to his time machine. Newton warns Bob and Tom that despite the appearance of his future self, they will be the first ever time travelers, so it’d be nice if they could leave him a note saying what time travel is like. The two shrug and agree and then they go into the time machine. Newton says that he’ll send him back to the day he got the big promotion, since they’ll know where to find their past selves. Newton asks if they are ready, and then they are sent back.

Cut to the basement, twenty-five years prior. A couple is watching TV on a couch when suddenly Bob and Tom materialize right behind it, wearing only underwear. The couple stops and looks at Bob and Tom. The man reaches for a club, but then suddenly, a stun gun falls out of the sky into Tom’s hands. Tom stuns the two of them, knocking them out to Bob’s shock. Bob then notices a note in his own handwriting attached to the gun saying to leave the note in the safe in the upstairs bedroom, so that way Newton can send the stun gun back. Bob and Tom are confused, but they decide just to leave it as a weird time travel thing.

They go upstairs to the bedroom and find the safe. They leave the note in the safe, and then steal two suits from the upstairs. Tom then runs downstairs and steals the keys out of the man’s pants. They then run out and steal the car, heading to the bar. They arrive at the bar, seeing Newton exit. They run in, hearing their younger selves complain about being lonely. Bob and Tom tell them that they need to get laid, and then Bobby and Tommy pass out. Annoyed, Bob and Tom carry their younger selves back to Bobby’s car, with Bob taking the keys. They then drive back to the apartment and take their younger selves up to their bedroom.

Cut to Bobby waking up, as the doorbell rings. The doorbell continues ringing, as Bobby looks around the house to see everything is exactly where it should be. Bobby figures that the experience of seeing the two older men in suits must have been a dream. Tommy is very knocked out, so Bobby goes to open the door. A man walks into the house that introduces himself as Todd Jones, E.R.A. (Evil Recognition Agency) Cop. Bobby spit-takes and says that’s an incredibly stupid name for an agency, and Todd explains it used to be C.R.A. with Criminal, but the criminals they arrested kept calling them C.R.A.P.

Tommy wakes up, and hears Todd and Bobby talk. Tommy rolls off the couch, and heads to the bathroom to put on some new clothes. He opens the door, and sees Tom and Bob asleep in the bathtub. He shrugs, and closes the door. Cut back to Todd and Bobby. Todd explains that some fingerprints were found at a house where a couple was assaulted, and they match up to his and Tommy’s. Bobby explains that there was no way he and Tommy were there, and then calls up Newton to vouch for him. Newton does, and Todd leaves, saying he’d be back later with a search warrant.

Bobby knocks on the bathroom door, and Tommy says he’s getting dressed. Bobby says he needs to see him now, and Tommy opens the door with only boxers on. Tommy walks out, and then Bobby sees Bob and Tom. He freaks out, waking them up, and asking them what they are doing in his apartment. Bob says it’s his apartment, and then Tom reveals they are their future selves. Tommy sees the resemblance and says it must be true, but Bobby puts up a fight, asking Bob when he lost his virginity. Bob answers by saying he is still a virgin, which causes Bobby to realize that it is actually his future self.

Bobby asks why Bob and Tom are in their house, and Bob and Tom explain that in the future, they never got married and are lonely. All they have in the future is each other, so they want to try to make sure that that future doesn’t happen. Tommy says that it sounds terrible, but he’s fine with being alone, so Bob and Tom can go back to the future whenever they want. Tom then tells his younger self that is impossible for them to go back to the future, but since they know absolutely nothing about time travel, they’re hoping that if Bobby and Tommy fall in love, they’ll immediately go to a future where they are married with kids.

Bob says that the future selves must have some idea on who Bob and Tom will fall in love with, and they answer they do have a slight idea, but that Bobby needs to get to his job interview, and Tommy needs to get to therapy. Bobby looks at the clock and sees that their future selves are right. Bobby and Tommy run out quickly, and then Bob and Tom get to work. They pull out the phone book to look up Julia and Jane’s numbers, remembering that they fell in love with them five years after this date, but they were already taken. They hope to beat their other potential husbands to the punch by doing this.

Bob calls up Julia, but her mother, Jen, answers. Bob tries to charm over Jen, and he is forced to pose as Bobby’s father. Bob asks if Bobby can go out with Julia, and Jen answers that he’d like to meet Bob in person at a coffee shop. Tom then calls up Jane, but her mother, Darla, answers. Tom cuts to the chase and asks Darla to meet him at the coffee shop. Darla, taken aback by the rudeness, refuses, but then Tom charms her over.

Tom and Bob then bike to the coffee shop, using Bobby and Tommy’s bikes. Tom and Bob wait at the same title, and meet with Jen and Darla. Darla reveals that her daughter is currently dating someone, and Jen reveals that her daughter is studying her abroad. Tom and Bob look at each other, realizing they went to the past for no reason at all. However, then Jen and Darla start making the moves on them. Jen and Darla say that Tom and Bob’s phone calls made them believe in men for the first time since their divorces. Tom and Bob look at each other, and decide to take the women out to a movie.

Meanwhile, Tommy has just finished therapy, and he heads out to hail a cab, when he is tackled by Todd. Todd explains that the time stream is getting messed up thanks to their future selves. Tommy is naturally confused, but Todd explains that he knows about their future selves and he is a time cop from Year 45. Tommy is still confused, so Todd just knocks him out. Todd then goes to Bobby’s workplace, and then walks up to Bobby. Todd asks him to come with him. Bobby says no, he’s in the middle of work, so Todd punches him, knocking him out. The coworkers look at Todd weirdly, and then they all walk away.

At the movie theater, Bob and Tom look at their respective partners. However, when the movie ends, Jen and Darla act ashamed. Bob and Tom ask what’s wrong, and they answer by saying they need to actually get to know the men, before going on a date in a dark room with only popcorn as companions. Bob and Tom then set up a more romantic double date for the next day, and then say goodbye to the women, telling them they had a great time. The women head out to their car, when Todd suddenly teleports in front of them, grabs them, and then teleports away.

Bob and Tom don’t see this and are currently victory dancing at their new love. Tom says they should just give up on helping their past selves, since they’ve found love. Bob agrees, saying they don’t want to mess up the timeline too much anyway, because who knows what would happen. Suddenly, the bathroom door opens, and out walks Todd. Todd says he’s a time cop, and he noticed they’re in the wrong time. Todd tells Bob and Tom to come with him peacefully, or else they will regret. Bob and Tom look at each other laugh. Todd doesn’t get what is funny, and Bob explains that time travel was just invented, so how could there be time cops. Todd says he doesn’t care what they think, and they need to come with him. They refuse, and then Todd says, “Okay, You’re asking for it.”

Todd teleports away, and suddenly, Bob’s and Tom’s left pinkies disappear. They begin freaking out, asking each other what happened. Todd teleports back in, saying that he just cut off Bobby’s and Tommy’s left pinkies. Todd darkly threatens there’s more where that came from. Bob and Tom still refuse to leave, saying they can cut off their noses if he wants to, but they are in love. Todd says he has Jen and Darla in captivity and if he has to do it the hard way, he’ll send them back to be eaten by dinosaurs. That convinces Bob and Tom to go with Todd.

Todd teleports them to his time-truck, explaining that by Year 45, Newton has fixed that time travel can go both ways, but however, channeling it through a vehicle causes time to appear as a highway. He says they’ll be in Year 25 in 25 minutes and then throws them in the back with Bobby, Tommy, Jen, and Darla. Bobby and Tommy aren't bleeding from the amputation, and Bob and Tom excuse it as future technology. Jen and Darla slowly are figuring it out, and then Jen asks if Bob and Tom are future versions of Bobby and Tommy. Bob says yes, they are, but they need to find a way to get out of this.

Tommy says just leave it to him, and then he knocks on the window separating them from Todd. Todd opens it, and then Bobby punches him impulsively, saying that he was not able to finish his anger-management program at therapy. Todd, shocked, doesn’t notice Darla kicking the window open with her high heels. Bob, Tom, Bobby, Tommy, Jen, and Darla all jump over into the driver’s seat, which causes the vehicle to swerve on the time highway. Todd tells them they all need to get in the back, and no matter what happens, they can’t swerve off the highway.

Suddenly, another guy drives by in another time truck. It’s Normal Newton with Older Newton and Future Newton, saying that Tommy told him one night that he would invent time travel and he would need to save him. Everyone turns to Tommy, and he says he doesn’t know what the Newtons are talking about. Newton explains it hasn’t happened yet to him, but Future Newton says it will happen to Older Newton soon! Todd, still incapacitated thanks to the punch, is unable to stop Jen, Darla, Tom, and Bob from jumping over to Future Newton’s time truck. However, Todd closes the door on Tommy and Bobby, and then turns to smile at Older Newton, and then he promptly drives off the highways.

Suddenly, Tom and Bob begin fading away, much to everyone’s confusion. Future Newton explains that when you drive off the time highway, you essentially remove all chances at a stable timeline unless you are rescued. Jen asks if there’s any way they can save Tom and Bob, and Older Newton says that if they had a piece of DNA from the two of them that’s not on the fading Tom and Bob, then they could track them through the time stream. Darla notices a hair in her pocket that fell off of Tom during their sex. Darla hands it to Young Newton, who implants it in the time truck.

The time truck immediately goes off the highway, and lands in the dinosaur times. They suddenly see Todd’s time truck in front of them, slowly fading. They then notice their own truck begins fading. Future Newton deduces they have only five minutes to catch up to Todd’s truck, or Tom and Bob will disappear from time itself. Older Newton says then they will all die within ten minutes if they don’t save Tommy and Bobby. They suddenly jump ahead to the Revolutionary War, as they drive through Paul Revere’s horse. Jen begins freaking out, saying they’re going to mess up history. Future Newton tells her not to worry, the fading away represents them never physically being in the time period. Tom is now extremely confused, but Young Newton tells him not to think about it.

The chase continues to the Roman Empire, where they finally end up catching up with Todd. Tom and Bob jump over onto Todd’s time truck, but Todd refuses to let them in. Future Newton looks at his two younger selves, and tells them that when Tommy and Bobby are back on board with Tom and Bob, to press the purple button on the stirring wheel. Future Newton then jumps over onto Todd’s windshield, causing him to spiral out of control and crash. Tom and Bob are almost completely faded away, along with Tommy and Bobby, of course. However, they make into the Newton’s time truck with thirty seconds to spare. Jen calls over for Future Newton to join them, but Future Newton is attacked by Todd. Future Newton tells them to leave, since he’s lived a long life. Jen and Darla refuse to let that happen, but the Newtons look at the Toms and the Bobs, and then press the purple button.

They all land in front of Tommy and Bobby’s apartment building with the time truck. They all look at the Newtons and they shrug, saying that they’ll think the sacrifice was worth it eventually. Older Newton says to Tom and Bob that it is not safe for them to stay in the past, and to get in the time truck. Tom and Bob refuse to go without Jen and Darla, and then Tommy and Bobby ask them to please leave. Jen and Darla say that over the time truck chase, they were genuinely worried about losing Tom and Bob, and that they will go to the future with Older Newton, Tom, and Bob. Tom then goes over and whispers to Younger Newton about Julia, who is revealed to have been his new girlfriend. Tom tells him to treat her well, as she was his first love.

Older Newton, Tom, Bob, Jen, and Darla all go to the future, and land in Older Newton’s house. Bob and Darla have a passionate kiss, followed up with Tom and Jen. We then see Tom, Bob, Jen, and Darla have a double wedding, with Newton and Julia attending, with Julia commenting that Jen looks a lot like her dead mother. Newton says he doesn’t see the resemblance. Back in the present, Tommy remembers to tell Younger Newton to have Future Newton rescue them, but Newton rolls his eyes at them, sadly saying that thanks to what happened, he's gonna have to get plastic surgery. Tommy and Bobby then go out to a bar, and Bobby wonders how everything turned out. Tommy says they’ll find out in about twenty-five years, and then they smile. THE END. Cut to credits with original song by Owl City, "Time and Time Again" with outtakes.

Plot:

Opening sequence begins, we're showing the inside design and mechanism of an escalator. Heavy metal music is on. After we set the tone of the film, we see the principal areas of usage of escalators such as department stores, shopping malls, airports, transit systems, convention centers, hotels, arenas, stadiums and public buildings. Crowd everywhere. Then we cut to night time, we're in a shopping mall after closing time. Staircase maintenance is going on. After a few changes and repairs and tests the escalator works fine. Job is done. The mall opens in the morning, the machine works fine. The shopping mall has 5 floors. Escalators are put in usage in each floor. Ground floor takes you further down to the tube and the fourth floor one takes you up to the cinema. There's nothing else up in fifth floor, just the cinema. Friday night. Busy. Business is booming. We introduce our main characters, four teenagers, a business man, a newlywed couple and an old folk. They all get a little screen time before it gets clear what they have in common, they all watch the same late showing in the cinema. Some indie drama, late screening. The film is on, the teenagers are making noise, the old man complaints, the cinema manager (Hawke) has to come in and warn the kids, who are clearly have no interest in the movie whatsoever. The rest of the showings are ended, people are going home, the cinema stuff is closing the retail area, ready to get on with their night duties. Only one film is on. The escalator works fine. Film finishes, the loud kids are rushing out. Cory (Bright) and Jeff (Lerman) are jumping up and down between standees, acting like real assholes. One cinema staff, Theo (Yelchin) warns them and tells them to leave quietly. The two girls, Nina (Moretz) and Jackie (Daddario) are going to the toilet. Arthur (Thomas), the old man says something cynical when he passes them, Cory curses him and stars running down the escalator, Jeff is a bit behind, looking back to see if the girls are done. When Jeff is halfway trough the stairs it suddenly stops and he fells over. He stands up and laughs. The escalator starts moving up. "What the hell is happening?" he shouts. He starts running down against the flow, but the machine stops again. He falls down again and gets angry. He suspects a joke. Soon the rest of the audience gathers by the entrance and they're looking down at Cory, observing the situation. The girls are out, joining Jeff. The escalator moves up again, Cory gets really angry and starts shouting. The businessman (Brolin) and the newlyweds (Siddig and Visitor) turn to the cinema staff member to ask him to solve the situation. Theo steps up to help, but he doesn't understand what's happening. Cory is cursing and shouting, which makes the manager to come out as well. When he reads the situation, he calls to someone on the radio to ask if the maintenance guys are still here. The answer is that everyone is gone. he goes to the electricity room and switches the main board off. The escalator stops. Cory moves down, the businessman steps on it as well. But all of a sudden it starts moving again, this time to the right direction. Then it stops and move sup again. Theo looks at his manager with shock and he goes back to the switch room and does the same method, but nothing happens. "I had enough" says Cory and he jumps to the side and starts sliding down, but before he could hit the bottom, something pushes him to the left, so he lands on the stairs as well. It's moving up and down. The businessman decides to run down as well. He steps over Cory and nearly reaches the bottom, but all of a sudden there's a blackout, everything goes pitch black and we see the flashes of a high voltage electric shock. Lights are back on. The businessman is down. He is silent. Cory crawls to him and checks his pulse. He shouts back in horror. "He's dead". The manager starts making panic phone calls, Ambulance, security. Orders Theo to find some emergency number for the maintenance company. He also tries to calm the rest of the group down, but things get worse. Cory goes nuts and tries to run down using all his power, but the stairs open up for a split second and his body falls down. He manages to hold onto the edge with one arm and craws himself a bit up, but then the two parts of the stairs starts moving closer and as we zoom in, we saw two huge metal butcherknifes emerging and they cut Cory's neck. Blood is everywhere. Cries and shock upstairs, the girls are freaking out. They are stupid, they run after Cory, but as they step on the escalator it starts moving, then stops and they fell down. Now the newlyweds are freaking out as well, they decide to take the normal stairs, but it goes pitch black again. Theo opens his flashlight, the manager comes down and says that "Everyone calm down, remain where you are, help is on the way" Security guard arrives. He is warned not to step on the escalator, but he wants to check the body. Bad mistake. Once he steps on it, his legs are cut off by the knee. The escalator comes alive! It starts moving up and down really fast, making Nina throwing up. Jackie takes another approach as her body collapses by the shock. She faints. The ambulance arrives, but as they get close to escalator they get electrocuted. Two more down. The manager tries to make another call, but he loses reception. Theo's flashlights are also out. The newlywed couple decides to run for it. They move to the normal stairs, but wires are splashing out from the escalator and in a minute they are tied up and dragged down next Jackie and Nina. Soon they are strangled by the wires. Another security guy arrives, the manager shouts down and tells him not to come close to the machine and asks him to call the police and some maintenance company. The goes off and the lights are back on. Soon the police arrive. They are not so clever as the security guy, even though they are warned they have to check the dead ambulance guys and when the two girls are crying for help, one cop obviously steps on the escalator that kills him in an instant. The rest of the force realize that the shit hit the fan, but all of a sudden they lose radio reception as well. All the electric devices are switched off. The horror beckons, soon they all realize that it's very unlikely that they will leave this place alive. Theo starts talking to the girls, Nina wakes Jackie. The manager throws water bottles to the girls and pulls a chair to Arthur, the old man. He starts writing something on a paper, then he closes his eyes. We hear the sirens of the firemen. They are rushing up, but as they approach the escalator, it starts throwing fire balls at them. The manager starts losing it and he keeps on shouting and crying. The old man meanwhile goes to an eternal sleep. Theo notices that he's dead as his face goes pale. He finds a note and as he reads out the last goodbye to his wife, everyone starts crying. Now Jackie goes nuts, she stands up and starts kicking the escalator. Nothing happens. Nina and Theo start to tell stories about each other and soon Theo decides to walk down closer to her. "No, don't do it" she shouts. But he walks down to hug her and calm Jackie down. Downstairs the firemen and the policemen are clueless. The manager gives up and walks back to the cinema. Sits down in an empty screen. Even Theo can't help Jackie, she starts kicking and screaming and soon something lifts her up and pushes her down with great power Her back is broken. But her pain isn't over. The escalator starts moving down and the butcherknifes start slicing her up. More blood. The machine acts like it had hands. Theo wraps his arms around Nina and kisses her. All of a sudden the escalator stops. They slowly start walking down, stepping over a few dead bodies, but oddly nothing happens. They are simply walking out. The firemen ask if there's anyone up there. Theo nods, his manager. The phone lines come back to life. The radios are working again. The firemen approach the escalator, which doesn't move. They run up and take the shocked manager down. More ambulance and police force arrive to the scene. They are trying to ask Nina and Theo questions, but they say that they just want to go home. They are escorted down, the police offers a ride home. Before they would go out to the car, someone shouts after them. "Wait" They look up, the manager is coming down from the first floor. "Theo, I just want to thank you for what you did tonight!" he stops suddenly, just realized that he just stepped on another escalator. But It's working fine. He starts laughing. That puts a smile on Nina's face. The manager is running down when all of a sudden the escalator stops and starts moving up. Lights go out. Machine noises are fading in. It gets louder and louder as the screen goes pitch black.

Rating: R for some bloody violence including disturbing images and language

Runtime: 117min (1hr, 57min)

Budget: $60 million

Composer: Win Butler

Plot: The story of the people in a village, long after most of civilization was wiped out, and a 19-year old who longs to find a way to save the people in his town.

The world’s changed a lot ever since the Reckonin’. It was a time when storms were ‘a brewin’, people were ‘a panickin’, and mother Earth let her prized creation collapse. I lost my family to the reckonin’ when I was younger.

During these narrations, we see a 19-year old by the name of NM, cooking something in his trailer’s kitchen. The shots in this scene are close ups of the man’s action in the kitchen. He’s been living on his own for 8 years, ever since The Reckonin’, a nearly apocalyptic event, struck the earth, wiping out the majority of the world’s population. The only companion he has is Bloodfang, a wolf-like animal that NM has kept as a companion ever since. He is very loyal, and he travels with NM on his journeys. NM lives in the village of Eden. This town combines elements of western cities and shanty towns, infused with a hint of futuristic technology. There are less than 200 populations of the area, all desperate to survive in this dire situation. We then see a wide shot of a child run down the street and yell, “Bandits! Da bandits are comin’!” Everyone in the city streets soon hides back in their homes, fearing desperately for what was about to happen.

The bandits were the nastiest people in this stretch of the world. They get by in this world by murderin’ innocents and takin’ their belonins. They attacked every town in this area, and it just happened to be our turn today. I too, was scared of them.

The bandits rode into the center of the town on their motorcycles, taking off their masks to examine the setting. Once they realize that there is no one out, they attempt to break into a local bank. Most people are too afraid to movie, including NM. The people inside the bank become mortified as the bandits attempt to rob it. The teller nervously hands over some cash, but he is still brutally shot by the bandits’ leader. They ride out of town with the cash. NM looks out the window of his trailer, relieved that everything is okay. The next day, NM and Bloodfang walk around the city, and we see the regular lives of the people in the town. Children play hopscotch, adults talk on the porch, and some poor people scavenge for food in the garbage. He visits the town’s machinist, who had been repairing his Atlas. His name is Thaddeus. He gives him the Atlas, acting friendly to one of his best clients.

The Atlas belonged to my father before he died. It was all the information one needed to survive, which became critical in this day n’ age. The machinist, Looker, was a trustworthy man, and I could count on him to help me when I needed.

As he steps out, he boots up his atlas. The screens of the atlas pan out in a hologram, revealing several screens on information of the area. NM puts it away, glad that it appears to be in working condition. We see another person come up to NM as he is walking down the street. She is a young girl in a pretty blue dress, by the name of Lunetta. She lives with her family, but she trusts NM more than her abusive parents. NM decides to take her out to a lakeside cliff, so that she can see the view. Lunetta has always pestered him to take her to this spot. We see NM get a pick up truck, and we see Lunetta and Bloodfang driving across the wide, desert-like expanse to the cliff. The two arrive right at sunset, and the cliff’s overlook is simply beautiful. “We don’t get much beauty in this world, least not like this,” Lunetta says. Lunetta also reveals that she had packed a picnic for the two of them (but Bloodfang can have a little bit, too.) The food isn’t exactly up to the standards of modern cuisine (these were lunch kits and bottled sodas) but these kinds of foodstuffs were very rare after the Reckonin’. NM and Lunetta enjoy the picnic, and both home they can find a way to make things better than they are.

The night went by like a blur. The next mornin’, Everyone was gathered ‘round Eden’s main screen. When everyone gathered ‘round the screen, it meant that something big was comin’, be it good, or bad.

We see the townsfolk gathered around the city’s screen. It’s a gigantic TV monitor centered at the town square. Important news headlines come on occasionally, and it’s a big deal when that does happen. NM and Lunetta stand together near the screen, as the announcement comes on. We see a man report that something terrible is going to happen. A gigantic dust storm is expected to approach the town in an estimated 9 days, and people need to evacuate Eden immediately. In order to prove that he’s telling the truth, the man displays his scientific data on the screen, causing most people to become scared. He finishes by saying that squads from Omega City, a far away metropolis, will come pick them up in 6 days, relocating them to a special center for recovery. “It’s best to start packing your things, and we will see you in four days.”

That’s when the panic struck. Everyone ran around like headless chickens, fearing for the worst. It’s not that they would die, but they were losing the home they had for their whole lives. Eden’s not exactly a haven, but Omega City ain’t too kind to newcomers, especially the poor ones.

The next day, we see NM researching data about dust storms using his Atlas device. The graphics on the device truly are incredible. He also finds out that there is a special force field, made up of a fictional element called E-ONE. The E-ONE could create a barrier around the town (which is rather small, fortunately) and prevent it from being hit by the dust storm. Unfortunately, there was no E-ONE supply anywhere in Eden. However, there is supposedly mines of E-ONE in a somewhat faraway cave. To make matters difficult, this cave was part of The Bad Place, a region rampant with crime and bandits. To find the E-ONE, he’ll have to just get to the mines alive. The people in this area aren’t exactly known to be kind to strangers. NM tells Thaddeus and Lunetta about his plans to leave town that night. They are not convinced that he is going to suceeded, but they truly hope that he can find the source. If the people have already left the town, he could still protect it so that everyone could return to Eden. After hugging Lunetta goodbye, NM and Bloodfang get into NM’s pick-up truck, mapping their way to the nearest city, Petrion. NM gets his rifle and a sword that his father once had. His journey was about to begin.

Petrion was even smaller than Eden, and the bandits came at an even higher rate. I didn’t wanna stay there, but it was the only town that would put me in the right direction, and there was a pretty decent bed ‘n breakfast ran by a kind ol’ woman. So Petrion, here I come.

Petrion was, indeed, a run-down town. Imagine a sci-fi/western version of Camden, NJ, albeit on a smaller scale, and you’re pretty much there. We see a wide shot of NM and Esca driving into the city streets in the morning, pulling up into a nearby alley. A man comes out into the alley, pointing a gun at NM. He is prepared to shoot him, worried that NM may very well be a bandit. NM proves that he’s not bad by preventing Bloodfang from attacking the man. NM tells him that he’s just trying to find a big supply of E-ONE to protect his town from the coming dust storm. The man, who introduces himself as Captain, tells him that the few citizens of Petrion, are simply just leaving the town, trying to get as far away as possible. Captain soon hears a shrill siren come on, and he begins to panic. “The bandits!” he yells. He runs down the alley & goes around the corner, and a gunshot is soon sounded. NM and Bloodfang go incognito in their car, trying to avoid being seen. NM soon comes out, armed with his rifle, and he sees that Captain had been brutally shot by one of the bandits. They already left this spot, and were heading to the opposite side of town, towards the bank.

Being the only person in this hell-hole who had both a lethal weapon and a reasonable moral compass, I realized that it was my turn to play here. I’ve always wanted to imitate those cowboys on the screen.

We see a group of three bandits overtake Petrion’s local bank. The scene is very tense, and it’s shot as it was near the opening of the film. After the teller refused to hand over any money, the bandit is about to pull the trigger, but he gets shot from behind before he is able to. Everyone turns to see NM, holding a heated rifle. He had just shot and killed a man, for the first time in his life. NM doesn’t hesitate to think about it for now, and he jumps behind a table as the other two bandits open fire at him. He is able to shoot another one in the chest, and Bloodfang enters the bank and mauls the third bandit. We see NM get up and walk towards the center of the bank, near the three dead bodies. He is currently speechless, given that he just became a hero by killing feared bandits.

I’ve never killed a human before now. My gun was mainly just for hunting animals for food. It sent shivers down my body, but at the same time, I felt good. These were some of the nastiest men in the region, and thanks to me, they’re gone.

We see people begin to cheer for NM and Bloodfang at the bank, revealing that they’re not shaken at all by the shootout that just happened. Later that night, a few locals throw a party for NM at a local bar. One of them is a rusty scientist, Hammer. NM asks the people what the best way to reach the E-ONE mines are, based on his mission. People begin to feel concerned, as they understand that the road to the mines are even more dangerous, and it would take a few days to reach them, even if by car. Hammer then says that he can apply a mod to his car that will cause it to travel at a much greater speed, as well as have a built in radar for the E-ONE mines. The people in Petrion see little use for the E-ONE barrier, as the minority of those in the town were happy being here. The road would still be long, but it would help in this race against time. As the next narration occurs, we see NM and Bloodfang ride off into the vast expanse once more, trying to find what he has been looking for.

The next mornin’, I said goodbye to Petrion and continued my journey. There should be ‘bout 6 days until the storm. I just hope that the folk in the town are doing okay.

Things have changed in Eden since Petrion left. The crime rate grew due the growing panic and fear of the villagers, and many people already left the town, trying to find their own relief from the storm. Most villagers still trust the helicopters that are coming in four days, while a few people, including Thaddeus and Lunetta, still believe that NM will succeed and prevent their town from destruction. However, this is the small minority of people. Many people have already started packing their bags, examining the screen to see another announcement from the people in Omega City. Lunetta had written a letter to NM, telling him about the situation in the town. NM receives the letter that night, as he is staying in another small town. It is generally a calm evening, and NM and Bloodfang simply spend the night by a fire pit. They estimate that they will arrive in Theseus, a city known to be near a huge supply of E-ONE, tomorrow. The city was ran, however, by a band of tyrannical criminals, led by Stark, a ruthless man with one red eye.

The only people I’ve ever killed were the three ol’ bandits that I met yesterday. Multiply that by a pretty large number, and that’s who I’ll be facin’ in Theseus. However, the mines of E-ONE are here, so I have no choice.

Theseus was a large city, relative to Eden and Petrion, but Stark’s cruelty made it even worse than Eden and Petrion. However, there is also a large resistance movement within the city,

trying to take back the city. Like most other cities, there a few left, due to exoduses and shuttle flights out of town. The few people left are those passionate about their city, wanting to win this war or die for their cause. There was a group project to build the E-ONE shields for the city, but people still left because they were not certain that it was guaranteed to work. NM hopes that the shields work, because it could save many lives, in nearly every town for the dust storm. Even Omega City is putting up a gigantic shield. Anyways, NM and Bloodfang arrive during a brutal fight in the streets between Stark’s men and a group of rebels. Stark soon comes in, looking like a truly evil and smug man. He shoots one of the rebels in the head, and he proceeds to stab another right in the heart, using a knife built into his synthetic hand.

Stark truly looked like an evil sunuva bitch, truly. The red eye on his face, the weapon-loaded arm, and the cruel smile on his face. No one could imagine that this guy wasn’t feared.

Stark soon catches a glimpse of NM, giving him a seemingly friendly welcome to Theseus, even though NM clearly saw what he did to the rebels. NM is hostile, saying that he saw that he just killed a group of young people. Stark thinks about this, and his falsely pleasant expression, disappears. He orders his guards to kill him, and the rebels fight back in order to let NM escape. While NM is running from the pursuit of rigged androids and evil guards, he meets up with a known rebel, Mira. She too, had lost her family in the Reckonin’, and she had to keep fighting just to survive. Mira tells NM to stay with her, and she’ll help him stay away from the guards in the city. It’s pretty difficult, but she promises that she can help her. Meanwhile, it’s time for the pick-up day for the people in Eden. this happens as we see NM trying to lay low in the city. People back in become concerned as the day approaches night, and the helicopters still haven’t shown up.

Mira gave me a stronger weapon, one that made a hit with my rifle seem like a slap to the arm. She wanted to help me get to the E-ONE, but she also thought that I could help bring about Stark’s downfall.

In the city, NM and Mira become closer together, and they team up to win fights against the bandit authority in the city. There a few people left on the opposing side, but Stark is a dangerously powerful man. The small band of rebels soon comes up to confront the main building where Stark is controlling the city. They arrive at a warehouse within the building, and they are shocked to find what appears to be a set for a “screen show.” NM soon realizes that this set looks nearly identical to the videos he saw of the announcement of the helicopters. We see a screen come on in the warehouse, and everyone hides. NM hides behind a corner, where he can hear what Stark is saying in front of the camera. He soon reveals a shocking truth. There are no helicopters coming to pick up the townsfolk. They’re all going to die in this storm, unless they pay a huge sum of money for one of Stark’s “famous E-ONE barriers.” NM realizes the truth. Stark set up the promise of helicopters to profit from selling E-ONE shields. It seemed to be with every town in the nearby area, not just Eden.

My anger seemed to completely take over my body. Stark was a lyin’ bastard, valuing personal gain over everyone’s well being in this messed up world. He had to pay for all the nasty things he’s did.

NM comes up to Stark in a huge state of rage, prepared to charge with his gun. Stark deflects the bullets using a barrier around him, deflecting them back to another rebel. With this, an epic fight begins in the warehouse, and the rebels are teaming up to fight Stark and his few remaining men. The scene is very intense, yet the general tone of the scene is subtle and upsetting, due to its melancholy background music and the noise of the people. Eventually, NM uses a grenade to take down Stark, and NM goes up to confront him one more time. “You accuse me of being selfish...” Stark says as he begins to become weaker, “...but just look at yourself. You’ve killed many people just to save your own town. You probably had no intent of savin’ anyone else, now did you? Well, that’s okay. You win. Just don’t go pretending that you’re high ‘n’ might in comparison to yours truly.” As NM feels concerned about what Stark has said, he takes advantage of NM’s distraction and stabs him.

I shoulda known the bastard would trick me light that. The pain was mighty and strong, and it felt like I was about to say goodbye from this fine little planet. It was truly distressin’. I’m gonna say my goodbyes now. I won’t make it.

Mira finds the limp bodies of NM and Stark, the latter having succumed to his wounds. NM tells Mira, “get the shields to each town. The dust storm was going to strike in a day. Bloodfang also comes up, whimpering in agony as his lifelong companion lay wounded on the ground. We soon see NM die on the ground of the factory, as we see of shields being set up by the former revolutionaries, and it protects nearly everyone from the dust storm. Mira tells Lunetta and Thaddeus about what had happened, and they become sad. Lunetta begins to cry, and she hugs Thaddeus in her sadness. After the storm, Mira, Hammer, Thaddeus, and Lunetta, as well as many other people, hold a funeral for NM at the cliff where he and Lunetta had the picnic at the beginning of the movie. As the night goes by, we see Mira crying on the edge of the cliff, and the narration shifts to her.

NM became a true hero in this time. He sacrificed his life so that the lives of hundreds could continue, including mine. I owe my life to him, and I just wish that I could have stayed with him as long as I could have. He may be gone, but in this desert, his story will live on.

Moving Red Pyramid to Fourth of July weekend.

What was the day before? Because opening up against Hindenburg which is a disaster epic, if I'm not wrong, may not be the wisest idea, but if it was opening against a bigger film then it'd be a good move.

Nonexistence

Director: Robet Zemeciks

Genre: Sci-Fi/Drama/Thriller

Cast: Mark Ruffalo (Henry Jones), Ellen Page (Lisa), Kat Dennings (Marie), Jesse Eisenberg (Marcus),

Release Date: 3/12

Theater Count: 2988 Thee-ate-hers

Budget: $40 Meelion

Running Time: TBA

MPAA Rating: PG-13 for language, mild violence, thematic elements, mild sexuality

Plot Summary: Henry Jones always loves to watch people, see what they do, what makes them tick... to help him write more interesting characters. Marcus is a naive college student looking for true or false love. Things get strange as Henry's devotion and obsession with his writing cause his characters to materialize.

Plot:

We see Henry looking frustrated, sitting in a coffee shop with his laptop. He's listening in to random conversation and writing down random quotes, trying to see how people talk to one another. We see things like "Characters" and "Outline" on his computer screen. The noise gets too much for him, as he puts his laptop in its case and goes to a park. He sits in this park on a bench, and takes out a pen and paper instead, watching as people walk by, writing notes about them and trying to see what would make for an interesting character. As Henry writes the names Lisa and Marie and circles them, we see the two women fade into the picture and then back out (Henry does not see them), as the title Nonexistence pops up and we get an aerial view of this very large park.

We then switch over to Marcus. A college student living in a single dorm, he is studying, and noises surround him. He puts on some noise-cancelling headphones to shut out the sounds of people having fun around him. Back to Henry, busily writing and typing away. The more he types, the more the two women shift in and out of view. One time, Henry turns to look at where he saw someone... Lisa disappears. He decides it's time to go to bed.

His dreams that night are chaotic, and he somehow manages to see Marcus in them, Marcus, who he has never met before in his life.

As Henry writes, he progressively sees the two women more and more often. Then the girls begin to wander around his apartment, aimlessly. We watch as the story starts to write itself... the two girls are acting out what's being written, but no one is writing it!

Henry wakes up the next morning after this "self-writing" and discovers that he doesn't remember where he left off his story... he concludes that he needs to sleep more. But things become stranger and stranger, and he has to admit there is something going on. He sees what he writes often looking different the next morning.

Then he meets Marcus... not related to the story, but they spot each other in a local coffee shop. Unbeknownst to both the men, Lisa and Marie are there as well. Henry finds himself almost subconsciously writing a character after Marcus, who intrigued him during one of his "people-watching adventures."

The girls begin to cause more chaos for Henry. They've made it clear they exist, in the here and the now. He tries to delete his file but he discovers they've made copies of it all over his computer... and somehow he's emailed it to another email account. So even as he deleted one copy of his story, the rest of it still remain elsewhere.

The girls find themselves exploring Southern California, and end up at Marcus's college. They both get to know him. We see Henry almost watching as the story writes itself... or is he writing it. Marcus is always a bit paranoid, and something seems "off" about the two women. He begins to try to figure things out, but the more he figures out, the more "real" the two of them become.

He finds Marie more attractive, but her often frustrating personality gets in the way of that. Marcus begins to date Lisa. Henry finds Lisa and tries to convince her that she's just a character, that she doesn't exists, but she punches him after he upsets her enough. That pain is real. Henry manages to delete all the stories somehow, with a lot of determination, but Lisa's will to stay with Marcus causes Henry to avoid deleting the final copy as he finds it.

Henry realizes he needs to seek inside himself more and stop "people- watching" so often. Marcus and Lisa end up breaking up, but amicably .The story "Happily Forever After" at the end but it's deleted... "Who Knows.... ?" is the final ending.
