A Marvel Fanboy
With 15M OD, it wont make 34M. Could end up with only 55M DOM or less. Or PA4 DOM under PA3 OW ? Who would had thought that.
theultimatebiu
The reason PA4 is not doing as well as PA3 is because the trailer for PA3 looked good. PA4 looked boring from the first teaser.
The Toymaker
The only reason? Maybe not.People just like criticising movies when they go on too far in a franchise. It makes them think they look clever or intellectual about film. The same goes for blockbusters, remakes, horror movies and comedies.

The Toymaker
People didnt really like PA3 and it seems they're getting sick of this franchiseIt's RT is 68%, higher than the second one. So, I don't think that is the reason. People liked PA3 just fine.

Yes, the critics liked it, but the IMDB rating is 6.0, about as shitty as PA2

Plenty of people hated PA3, IMO it's one of those movies where the RT score didn't reflect the publics view of it at all. It promised answers an basically gave out nothing interesting. Olive
Fantastic for Argo! Could it actually increase this weekend? Has that ever happened before for a movie opening in 3000+ theaters? Happened several times. Smallest Drops, 3,000+ theaters edit- All of them took advantage of Christmas or Thanks-giving holiday. But Argo! Fake
PA2 grossed 13.8m for Friday without midnights and grossed another 64.6m after that (4.68x).PA3 grossed 18.3m for Friday without midnights and grossed another 77.7m after that (4.24x).If the 15m holds, then it made 10.5m for Friday without midnights. A 4x from here on will give it 57m finish.

Fake
Happened several times. Smallest Drops, 3,000+ theaters edit- All of them took advantage of Christmas or Thanks-giving holiday. But Argo! The top of the list seems to be comprised of family-friendly films taking advantage of a Holiday. Makes the Argo hold look much more impressive in that light. lab276
Another big weekend I love it when the box office is interesting. And that Argo hold is incredible, the last time a film not in November or December increased was Shrek.
