Please find me a single quote of anybody at Lucasfilm insulting fans simply for not liking THE FORCE AWAKENS or THE LAST JEDI.

I said Disney and Lucasfilm -

https://www.esquire.com/entertainment/movies/a25617513/toxic-star-wars-fans/

Disney has shares in Entertainment Weekly and Esquire

And Rian Johnson has called many of the fans trolls and manbabies for not liking TLJ:

JJ calling out fans as being sexist in not liking the TLJ:

Need any more?

Found someone who liked both 7 AND 8 and still didn't like 9. Not a verified account though so I won't post. He is the cohost of the game of thrones podcast with Joanna Robinson that I mentioned a while back

I like 7 and 8 a lot, hated 9.

But having Kylo involved only made Plan A so much more difficult to accomplish.

What? They differ in tone but the vision is absolutely the same. The themes that are set up in ESB are further explored in ROTJ.

ok, agree with that.
Yet the themes I’ve pointed out that are exclusively at the centre of both TFA and TLJ, how is that any different.

All I’m saying is that this whole trilogy has been about the past, so to criticise the finale for seemingly being about it just makes no sense to me.  It might have seemed like TLJ wiped the slate clean, but did it? They could have done something fresh with TROS but to have this be about the past is certainly not out of kilter with the previous two movies - all I’m saying.

Plus I never thought RJ was saying forget the past. He explored it through Luke and Ren but then wound up having Luke accept his importance to the fight and we all need heroes.

My two cents anyway.

I'm a believer in karma in some form, but it would be rather funny - more than funny -  if Joker ends up grossing more overall ~ I doubt it'll surpass its international box office gross, for example ~

Implying that said Karma will be towards your goodwill

JJ calling out fans as being sexist of TLJ:

https://collider.com/jj-abrams-the-last-jedi-women/

"To be fair, Abrams seems to be talking specifically about those who were vocally opposed to the female leads on the internet. "

So one of these examples is false right off the bat.

RJ - "We like & dislike stuff but we do it with humor, love & respect. We’re the VAST majority, we’re having fun & doing just fine."

They are calling out trolls not people who didn't like TLJ.

Why even bother with Plan A to begin with?

Oh, God. This is a good point.  Let's get Gal in there too.  Make Star Wars my unofficial Captain America and Wonder Woman (Featuring Captain Marvel) Team Up movie I deserve.

Read of it as you will, whereas Rian has, for example ~

In your first link, Rian Johnson says polarized discussions are good.

In your second link, the writer calls out fans who specifically have targeted the people who made TLJ with nasty attacks.

In your third link, Rian Johnson is clearly specifying that manbabies are the people who ran Kelly Marie Tran off social media.

In your fourth link, JJ Abrams is calling out people who are threatened by a female lead.

Was I not clear? I said quotes insulting fans simply for not liking TFA or TLJ.

I don't have any issue with the finale being about the past. I was just pointing out that ESB and ROTJ are absolutely of the same vision.

The "twist real plan" is so stupid and makes Kylo Ren's part of the whole story entirely useless. Palpy should never have been fucking around with him to begin with if all he really wanted was Rey. It's such a messed plan that doesn't fit what so ever with not just the first two movies, but this one as well.

OK then, give us some numbers. I have a hard time believing it opens below $170M. Would need to open around $125M to have a similar feeling to Justice League, which opened at 56.5% of Batman v. Superman's opening.

I think it's going to be JL-esque.  Honestly I can't predict that low, or that bizarrely.  But I expect the numbers will reflect that.  Unusually low for a movie like this.  It may manifest itself as a big weekend with no legs, or crazy low opening weekend numbers.  Again I go back to JL, where a movie like that should not have done anything less than (oh I dunno) 150m opening weekend, and came in at something unthinkable like 96m.  Given the reviews that are coming in and how positively mediocre they are, its possible all the GA walkups just don't happen.

Strangely low.  How do you predict strangely low?

Not to mention the following other random things bcause plot or future content demand so:

Luke/Obi wan/Yoda die and disappear (become one with the Force immediately) and become Force Ghosts

Rey dies but doesn't disappear which gives Ben time to resurrect her

Ben dies, disappears but doesn't become the Force Ghost

leia dies, doesn't disappear until Ben does and then she becomes a Force Ghost

Huh? Like, what are the rules here? Or is there any?

I know that.
I’m just saying until I see the new movie I’ve no reason to believe it won’t feel cohesive to 7 and 8, like 6 does to 5.
will find out in a few hours.

wasn’t aimed at you my friend :)
