The rumor mil begins:

After Patty's past experience with Marvel, would she be willing to work on another Disney production? Especially one with a reputation for not giving directors complete creative freedom. It'd be great to see what she can do, but I could see her being wary.

As for Ava, she's already done A Wrinkle in Time for Disney and hopefully that succeeds. Plus Kathleen Kennedy's past comments haven't given me the impression that she'll be a champion for female directors.

Industrial Light and Magic and I am only half joking.

Visual Effects Studios now could direct a film like this very easily.

What were Kennedy's comments? (That would suck if such a powerful woman in Hollywood wasn't too keen on giving female directors better opportunities... :( )

JJ Abrams used to say he would never direct a Star Wars movie.

JJ Abrams is currently saying that his franchise movies days are over.

Do the Maths.
