Captain Craig
If horror films didn't get a bump that would be odd. After I came in from a meager social outing, having seen 90 spooks visit my house earlier, I came home and fell asleep watching the original Fog myself!!

75Live
Not surprised about the horror bumps, but I didn't contribute. I had better Halloween movies to watch at home

baumer
I came in from giving out candy and turned on AMC. Watched Halloween 5, much better than I remember it being 10 years ago, then 4, but fell asleep in it, then woke up at about 1AM, and watched the original. Fell asleep at about 3:30. Not feeling so hot for work today.

Then ABC was nice enough to run It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.

ecstasy
Sinister has done very well for itself. Definitely stole some of PA's thunder. In fact, most horrors have done well recently. Even JL's straight to DVD House at the end of the street made 30m.
BK007
Can someone explain what effect or non-effect the 300 theatres seems to be having on dailies?Finke reports it could affect BO gross by 25% (maybe she means the weekends)But, those 300 theatres, mainly in the populated NE, would surely contribute helluva lot of business. Are we saying that Argo would have been up on last week EVERY day this week and up to 35% on Wednesday had these theatres been open? And if not, who in the world is making up for the amount of lost business and moviegoing audience that we are having these drops? It makes not an iota of sense.
