@keysersoze123,I have given up on PR making any money in China. Hence my post on Japan thread asking about any pre-sale sites. Since Japan it's last stop at the theater. At this point LG pretty much knows if they want to make another or not. If their happy with it doing John Wick/Tyler Perry type money. Then another will be made. If not. It was a good one and done picture. That I can always wonder what if on.

P.S. Before, I move on from PR in here. What do you think it final tally will be in China? 10-12M?

its about 2 days and 10 hours to go to release and it has just crossed 1m yuan in PS. I would range for OD is 10-15m yuan. with 10m yuan its looking at 33/55m kind of run. with 15m its looking at 50/90 run. 90m yuan is 12m and at absolute low end its looking at 8m. May be walkins are stronger and it could hit 15m. Cant see much more than that.

So 8 to 15M $? I guess that's better then nothing. Which it did in SK. Granted for China it's bad,but the movie was basicly getting nothing at this point before China. I guess it only chance it has left is people go into the movie and liking it possibly giving it a good WOM.

So many films fudged this year.

And most of them are not even caught.

Not sure what is the point here. Had they done during the release weekend, it could have been marketed heavily to get in more folks. Plus has any hollywood movie BO fudged previously?

I think it's perfectly normal that actual numbers are constantly updated even after two or even three weeks. Personally I think that  next day "actual" numbers are almost always still estimates. And real actual numbers might be available after a week or even two when all rural and small town theaters will report.

7-8k theaters here. Different theaters need different time to report their numbers.

These revised numbers are from the Chinese side, not Universal.

China would fudge to hit 100M or billion thresholds in RMB, they don't give a crap about arbitrary USD round numbers.

So Dangal has overtaken PK. If the market was more open it could have had a chance tor it to be among the highest non chinese/hollywood movie. If I am not wrong Your name or Doreman has that record.

But now I am thinking 300-400m range it will finish. We will know after this weekend hold.

I think they care regarding international reporting. Brag they had a $200m OW. They fudged MH to beat FF7 in yuan, then fudged a little more to beat it in dollars since the XR weakened at the end of its run
