Amazing increase for Coco. I love how unpredictable China is, you never get bored. A movie like Star Wars can have an OD of $32 and finish with $125 and a movie can make $2 on it's OD and make more money.

How much audience overlap/impact does The Meg and/on Aquaman will have next year ??

 

Both are underwater CGI creature-feature to varying degree , how will Meg fare ?

Coco (26.1%),  presales are heading 20M+, maoyan predicts 121M

Fireworks(24.0%), presales heading 11M+ , Maoyan predicts 38M  

JL(10.3%), Maoyan predicts 23.2M , 

They're underpredicting Coco again. With the same multiplier from Friday we would be looking over 130M and multi should get larger so my guess 140-150M Saturday.

Interstellar still holds November record 755M without fees.After 3 years,Coco will break it later.Finally,November may have a 1bn hit.Interstellar may cross 1.5bn this year.it's very emotional.That's one reason Coco break out imo.Chinese are into emotional films

SH films are stable But limited for high race.Aquaman will release in Jan.2019.around $80-90M.Wonder Woman cross 90M.

PS still trickling in. Will reach 22m up 175%. Ps multi has been consistent at 6x. Friday was 6.25.

Sat should be 132 to 140m about 20% less than zoo. 

That ll just about lock  1B/ $150m.  1.2B/$180m possible, but there are 2 large releases on the 15th with 3m and 1.5m in PS.

Disney should announce a Zootopia 2 soon. They're fools if they don't make a sequel to that one. I think Zootopia and Frozen are the only original animated films that grossed more than a billion. The other animated films that crossed a billion are either sequels or spinoffs.

They're going to take their time on announcing a Zootopia sequel, beckoning Chinese market or no. If it was fastracked, it would have been announced already.

Coco is picking up at 2.8x last Sat's, so around 138m, probably higher due to the weak performance in the evening last Saturday.

Coco's already at 58.5M, morning was really strong. It's been going 10M+ an hr right now and it's yet to hit the peak period where it's going to go 12-14M per hr. It's easily going to defeat 121M Maoyan prediction for Saturday, my guess 150-160M. Top 3 biggest days by animation with outside shot at dethroning Zootopia from the top(167M).

Toons fade hard after 830. Not a lot of family walk ups for the 9-10pm shows. And 7pm hour isnt much bigger than the matinees like SHs.  I remember thinking midday that Zoo would reach 200m. 

130s still looking solid, it would need a strong final hour to reach 150m. Ya never know. 

PS heading to 19m for sunday, a 10% drop, also solid
