Though the speed is suggesting 550M+, but I would be happy with 500M. Anything above that is just gravy.

 

One thing to note here is that it is Wednesday, not Friday, and therefore the acceleration in the evening may not be as large.

 

So.. going with 500M.

Yeah, Maoyan has definitely kicked into another gear. It just had 9.5M Yuan 30 min on Maoyan which is higher than both POTUS and Charlie's Projection!!! I think 575M looking very solid now. It can hit 600M, if evening stay relatively strong.

Run rate at 18.3m.  beating FF8 by 25% which made 205 rest of day. That puts it at 578m

Compared to IW, after subtracting 5%, is 594m.  Looking for at least 24m in the next hour

Can it be done through sheer WoM perhaps? Like local chains deciding to increase the screens in tier 3 and 4 cities in response to the immense reception in cities. At a certain point, hype can become self sustaining. Happened with Titanic and Avatar
