Detective Pikachu being very weak helped. Theatres also did not allocate a lot of show times to DP, rightly anticipating perhaps the low gross.

If I am not wrong there is hardly any significant new competition coming up in the next 2 weeks. The only major one, Godzilla 2, comes after 3 weeks. That should be time enough to achieve a 2x multi if the WoM is decent. Even Rampage, with relatively weak ratings, got a 2x.

Good ok so really more so just dependent upon this weekend.

20 million in presales for Sunday. 92 seems like a really high psm. Maybe 80-85 is a bit better?

POTUS's chart shows $636M so i'd say 640M is on the table too.

Not relating to the topic but do you know the current gross of Endgame in Vietnam? I checked the boxofficevietnam website but it seemed to lack one part of the gross??

¥100M-200M for aladdin? It is So weak in China

In theory yes. Jungle Book did over 1B few years back which was huge. But this is a different beast. If the chinese audience emotionally connects then there is scope. Otherwise it will probably underperform like Shazam did. But definitely more than 100-200¥

The buzz is Very weak.Dumbo is ¥147M.I don't see aladdin more than¥250M.Audiences ignore aladdin.Godzilla will destroy it a week Later.Jungle book is exceptional.Other Disney live action remakes all bomb in China.

The BOVN website reports that it is currently at 256 at 14:30 sun, how can it become 300 at the end of today?

I don't think BatB bombed in China. If I remember correctly, it grossed decently despite bad WoM.
