Bodyguard 200m OW, good. 400m is locked even reviews are average. It will do well in small cities where audiences are not very senstive to bad reviews. Hotpot will also do 400m+, maybe making 500m. Sleep Bro, just as expected, dead on arrival. will only do 150m-ish. another flop from LeVP. BVS and Bro will be close on Sat, both around 30m. ZOO will beat them both on Sunday. It is even less entertaining than CTHD2 =.= (I am sure CTHD2's 6.2/10 IMDB score will beat Bodyguard's eventual imdb score) Gosh, marketed as an action film, but it is a lifeless drama with a poor script. Cameo by other old hong kong stars were wasted. Andy Lau's performance is not memorable here, another weak performance since Macau 3. This film doesn't deserve to go over 300m IMO. Hotpot Hero is not out here(Malaysia/Singapore) so I can't compare to that. But i do hope Hotpot Hero catch up to Bodyguard by this weekend in China.... The 2 biggest movies last year opened on a Thursday, today's bump will be smaller than last year coming off an OD friday. BVS and zoo look to over take bro depending on evening shows. BG lead over the other 2 has shrunk and may not bump at all. Zoo has tickets for sale thru wed now. Sales at 1100 Bodyguard. 9.9mHotpot. 8.9 Zoo. 8.7 Shows increased, should be up 150%-200%BVS 7.3 Sleep bro 7.0 Not sure on the multis here. BVS and zoo could be 3x and the new releases at 3-5x putting them flat to up 30%. See how they look at 2pm.
