Solo Saturday

 

Solo’s Saturday PS is at 5.45 which is an increase of about 6.4% over final Friday PS. Its screen count is also down about 8.5k from 77k to 68.5k

 

TLJ for comparision jumped 17.46% from Friday to Saturday. It had lost about 16k screens and went from 91k screens on Friday to 75k screens on Saturday. 

 

Solo’s rating is also down to 8. Tomorrow may increase more than TLJ but I dont think the increase will be too much. Looking at around 9m OW right now

IW should do 23/45/32 = 100 on the low end and 23/48/34 = 105 on the high end. So around $16m.

Solo’s final Saturday PS of 5.63 is about 10.5% higher than Friday’s final PS

they take a few percent of shows away day by day and shift them to higher PTA movies

it had 27% of shows today and will have 23.5% on Saturday, probably 20% on Sunday.  By thursday it could be down to 15% and then get wacked on Friday down to 3%

F   2.5        15 loses shows to new releases

S   2.4        22 gets shows back as new releases fade and dangal stays strong

Its 2:30 pm and IW is upto 22.18m. which is only slightly lower than its total yesterday. Still going for a doubling

 

Solo is at 11.05m doing about 1.8m/hr right now. Yesterday its mid point was around 4-4:30 something I think. If it follows that then it could get to 28 today for about 40% rise which would be much better than the 17-18% rise of TLJ and would assure a $10m usd OW.

Mid point for Saturday is always 30-45 minutes earlier compared to Friday. I see it doing 25-26m.

 

IW is looking to do 47-48m.

Presales have started well, and it's much more GA friendly than AIW, which should help in the small towns that Olive said AIW struggled with.

 

Given JW2 is currently looking at ~$140m OW in U.S. it doesn't seem to much of a stretch to get to $200m in China
