I highly doubt it'll come in much higher than 41.3 since the guys said that the BO severely bogs down between 21:30-22:00.

Previous winners of Oscar Best Pictures in recent years didn't get response in China very well. And I think Greek Book could change this. I have confidence in its box office performance. It already earn 8.9/10 on Douban film site by 50k ratings. #GreenBook

Green Book still 8.9 on Douban after more than 70,000 user votes. Would be exciting if it managed a surprise breakout in China.

Green Book isn't the kind of American movie that usually does well, so a good run would be pretty amazing.

Obviously it won't. It is losing pace against Bumble Bee and Bumble Bee didn't had competition either.

More like $125-130mn.

2 cents on ALITA: Tomb Raider surprised and did nearly $80 in 2018. $90-95 for ALITA would have been within early expectations ($50 ow, 1.8-1.9x). $105-115 would have been a good win in my book. $120-130's a very good win. The budget and hope of China saving the movie makes the number look low. $150-170 like Meg, Rampage, BB would have been great and I could never see higher. Runs like RPO are not emulated frequently and makes that run even more special for me. 

 

In $ gross ALITA will do 40-45% higher than Tomb Raider Dom and 60-65% higher in China. Only 5-10% higher OS-China. That's where it could have done more.
