Can someone explain how MTB can look like an outbreak sat,sun and monday and then drop like a rock..

Are there some fudge going on here?

I was thinking the same thing.  Gotto be fudge.  Amazing break out dailies for an 8.1 rating

WoM pushing up Sat, Sun and Mon numbers should carry thru until at least the second weekend.

At least. 3 days makes no sense unless it had huge presales those 3 days. But it did`ent.

Was some CM money transfered on sunday and monday? Cant rule it out

Maybe because the demand wasn't met this weekend. It could be a movie that should be frontloaded, but didn't have enough theaters at first.

Maoyan was at 9.0 then dropped to 8.7 then now barely above 8. Demand was much greater when ratings were higher..

I think even 400m is uncertain given it is literally a typical Hollywood PG13 comedy with too many American gags, little action, DC brand attached though.

Which American gags exactly? I really fail to see what makes Shazam ! such an outlier overseas. It's going to do very well.

The score on Douban is now even 4.9

Maybe people went to watch it because of the unexpected great box office,

and probably quite a number of people really dislike if after watching it and give it an extremely low score to even out.'

Really? I thought it could work in China. Also, there aren't any big films releasing in April ATM which should help it's run.

If you scroll up you could see an Indian film that the ones in this thread predict will also gross big in China.

just announced, May 1-4 will be holiday, if AEG has same date as DOM , it will get great boost from holiday.

But the local titles may not give up the longer holiday now.

Are there some huge local movies set to open alongside EG's frame?
