I won't say very likely yet. This is what happened last Saturday too when the projections went into 600-700m territory. Huge presales mean evening additions will slow down instead of accelarating, as majority of seats for the evening shows are already sold out.

 

Added 21m in the last hour. On Saturday EG added 20.7M during 11-12. It went on to add another 208M for the rest of the day (10x). 

 

I am thinking 11x as of now for 480-485m finish.

Yes. It should get there the Sunday after this one. However, it won't add a lot after that and will finish in $625-630M region. $650M is the high end I am thinking.

Has any movie done even twice 500m? Max I see is 400m by WW2 and WE both doing it twice.

China inccreasing 250m over IW. USA also increasing around the same amount. It didn’t even need much from the rest of the world to bear avatar.

Avatar could easily do under 600 million. No guarantee the reception will be the same. Also could do a billion. There are no guarantees, ridiculous to suggest it. Time will tell.

It really doesn’t man. IW did 2.048 Billion. 620 finish here will be a 260m increase. Domestic will 900 or so, potentially higher. Another 220m increase. That already draws us close to 2.52B. Rest of the world will blow by a 250m increase needed for avatar. The domestic and china market basically makes up for the entirety of Avatars European/Aussie figures

Not really, it can easily do that with the formula HouseofTheSun provided.

 

IW made 359m in China +250m = 609m

 

IW made 678 Domm + 250m = 928m

 

IW made 1.01B OS minus China, so only a 25% increase gets it to 1.25B, and past Avatar.
