It’s not like they need to make a profit since the studio is now dead and owned by Disney. The actors and all the crew got there pay check so it’s all good.

Yeah more then Shazam . but DP has got one extra holiday advantage .. shazam got rejected even after OD ... terrible performance in mainland

Well looks like a 111m total for KotM. Can it pull it off and get to 140? Maybe more? It’s catching up to Dark Phoenix already so possibly?

Around $25 weekend and $29 away from $140 so it should happen imo.

$150 is tough but more surprising things have happened.

Wasnt Tencent involved in KSI? Tencent really seems to be box office gold

 

But about GvK. If both KoTM and KSI can do so well with ultimately pretty average WOM, the franchise's break-out potential for something 200M+ is undeniably there. I mean KoTM "disappointed" with ~140M! I am really excited to see what a big crossover event film can do, especially if its well-marketed, has solid WOM, and potentially the support of Tencent again, although about that last point I have a feeling Legendary East doesnt want to share anymore than they already have to....
