Happened in my mind days ago, celebrated then 😛

Indeed an an incredible run, and more surprising than The Wandering Earth for me. I kind of hope it makes the yearly top 10.

I would say it’s gonna finish just outside of the top 10 (11th, actually). TROS and Frozen 2 will definitely be bigger, while Jumanji 3 has a 90% shot.

Yeah $193-194 total it seems. I am glad Dom legs were good and it will do $170+. Will fetch it strong returns there.

break-down on $740 ww,

193*0.25 + 172*0.55 + 375*0.40

48.25 + 94.6 + 150

= $293

Fri 8.5+ at 6:30pm

HS will cross 1370 on Fri and be around 1390 by Sunday assuming a mellow Sat bump as Thu and Fri were strong.

1400 ($198) should happen.

EDIT:

Fri 14.4, 1375 cume

Sat 13.1, 1388 cume

1402 / $198 locked

Did Hollywood have any chance to beat China box office record?

Even Avengers:Endgame only take the 4th place in China.

only Avatar:The Way of Water has a little chance, but really small

Endgame got to third, would have been 2nd if the Wandering Earth was just a bit less. I doubt any HW movie can do better than that going forward, but it would be exciting if one did.

You forget Nazha:Mo Tong Jiang Shi,which gross $700M in China.

I guess Avatar 2 has a little chance to overtake WW2 because Avatar 1 break China box office record at 2009.

If Avatar becomes super successful in China again, will the government put a stop to it like they did last time? Like pull it from theaters?

NZ at 4897m.  Over $700m now.  It can get to 5000m/$715m if it gets just 1% of shows during the Oct holiday.

FF8.5 at 1397m. It needs to get to 1424m by next Sun to reach $200m. It will be close.

They didn't put a stop to it last time, they even gave it an extension.

No, I didn’t forget it. Endgame got to 3rd like I said and Ne Zha came out later bumping it down to its current 4th.
