Filmovie
We should have numbers in the next hour. I am really curious!

MonstersandRoy
Sunday 1. Hunger Games: MJ - 62 million yuan ($9.9m) 2. Bonnie Bears 2 - 16.2 million (total 195 million) 3. Hobbit 3 - 13.8 million (total 702 million/$112.4m) 4. Running Man - 12.8 million (381 million) 5. Crazy New Year - 9.3 million (total of 35.6m) Hobbit passes 700m and took another drop in screens on Sunday, think it's playing on 6/7%. Hunger Games only got a 6.0 rating on Gewara at the moment. Filmovie
It will top Maleficent for sure and it has an outside chance of topping GOTG too. Not bad.
MonstersandRoy
It will top Maleficent for sure and it has an outside chance of topping GOTG too. Not bad. It would basically need $100m to top GOTG, seriously doubt that could happen. More than 3 times as much as Catching Fire made. Big Chinese film (Somewhere Only We Know) opening on Tuesday. Interesting to see what WOM is like for it, because at the moment on Gewara it's only got 6/10 average. Rogerio
Hmm.. I don´t know.. don´t you think it could do a little more? I mean.. 10M OD is very huge, but at the same time we have to consider that the movie is oppening on a Sunday, a day that is naturally stronger than the Friday, and the fact that the movie has a "weekend" of just one day, would probably make much more people watch the movie in its first day than if would make if the weekend had 3 days.. I don´t know how would be a Friday´s OD
Ay72998
The word of mouth for Mockingjay part 1 isn't very good. I checked on Douban, and it only has a 5.9 rating at the moment. Some of the (more amusing) comments include that it is just an episode of a CW show.
Olive
The first Thor also opened on a normal Sunday with 20M yuan and end up 98.2m final total.
Pypa94
Almost 5x OD so for MJ1 will be 300M (48M$)
Rogerio
Huum so, when a movie opens on a Sunday, the OD is much stronger.. well, considering that Mockingjay must be more frontloaded than the first Thor, the movie will probably finish at about 45M Edited February 9, 2015 by Rogerio
