How often does it change? Is it best for us to look at it before or after exchange rates??? THANK YOU It usually moves less than 1% in a given month as the government controls it but when they let it slip it can move up to 5% in a couple of days. It was 6.90 for a few months. BO reporting is often lazy and doesnt make adjustments if there is a sharp move in the middle of the run and often use the XR at the close. I track it properly. For MH which edged out FF7 they used 6.21 for a majority of the run as they should have, then used 6.40 for the tail end. If they used 6.40 for the whole run it would been short of FF7. Its been 6.83 for TF5 which has already made 2/3 of its money. If the XR changes dramatically by friday then a adjustment would be made for the weekend. Mojo used to have negative weekly totals. A movie that was at $98m last week and made $2m this week had a new total of $95m. They were applying the 5% adjustment in XR to the whole run. Its made 1.1b. I doubt its going over 1.65b with a 75%+ WoW drop tomorrow. Its not just collapse, in part is the amount of seats it gets on OW now and the rush to see factor. Less than 2x OW is becoming the norm for anticipated tentpoles. FF8 barely reached 2x with a good audience rating.
