China Box Office Thread | Deadpool & Wolverine- July 26

Gov never intends to oppress hollywood films. They make money on them. Some movies such as IM3 even gain invests from chinese companies. The only reason why hollywood films can't perform well is there are no such movies attracted to the chinese audience at the moment. Let's check it out. Skyfall, being the highest grossing u.s film this year, was criticized for lacking of actions and defects in script. Hobbit is appealing to core fans only. DH5 doesn't even have a script. And OZ as a fairy tale is no way tempting to modern teenagers.

You can't really spin 3 month delays and tight scheduling that directly puts Hollywood movies in direct competition with each other as anything but a negative... Also would I be correct to assume that marketing for Hollywood films is more restricted too, so only Chinese films can get big promotional campaigns with TV ads, billboards etc.

INSANE! It's monday!  How many people go to movies on monday and GIJoe is doing incredibly well!

Monday 5.5+ Tuesday 6.5+Wed 3.5+ Thur3.5+ Fri 7.5+ Sat 8.5+ Sun 7= est 40m+ OW  is it possible?

I see this:

30+28+25+22+27+35+29=200M $32M full opening week or so

With 1.7x, 350M $56M finish.

Cool.  Hopefully it won't exhaust the audience for the upcoming IM3. The good news is that Joe can run its full-throttle performance for 10 days before the next major competitor to be released on 26th
