Due to very well receiving by viewers at test screenings earlier this month,

Wolf Totem was estimates that it will gross at least 1.2 billion yuan ($192 million) at the box office & expected to be the biggest grosser during the Spring Festival, beating Zhong Kui, Dragon Blade, & Macau 2. http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/culture/2015-02/12/content_19560914.htm

Will BOTFA still outgross DOS? WW?

It's currently earning $1M per day in China. It will lose theaters fast so it can't make more than $10M from now on. It may also earn another $5M from North America and another $3M elsewhere (based on the $1M it earned last weekend from all overseas territories except China). In total, this quite optimistic projection would lead to a WW total of $958M, or $2M less than what it needs to surpass DoS. I don't think it will even reach that number so surpassing DoS is out of the question.

5.6 million estimates 3 days on the trot for Hobbit, 2 days on the trot it has rose to 6m with actuals. It's consistant. I'm guessing Hobbit will probably be on $119m/120m by Sunday, which was one of the popular higher targets people mentioned for it's full gross. Needs 20.8m yuan more for $120m. Bonnie Bears still on twice as many screens as Hobbit despite earning almost the same daily.

What are your final predictions for Mockingjay?

280M/$45M

Somewhere will have 40% showtimes on VD, should do more than $10M, not sure if it can cross 300M yuan total.

Biggest movie of Spring festival will be that Jackie Chan movie, will be more than 1B yuan, Zhongkui being #2.
