I wanted to ask you the same question, what of your movies would you recommend to us.

I think I'll start with Journey to the West, does it have something to do with Sun Wukong?

But I'm a girl and I prefer drama, any suggestions?

 

I'm far from an expert on Chinese cinema but if you're looking for drama I'd go with some of the older films by Wong Kar Wai and Zhang Yimou -  In The Mood For Love, Happy Together, Raise The Red Lantern, To Live, Ju Dou

i really suggest u JTTW : CTD (2013), from director of Shoalin Soccer (2001) & Kung Fu Hustle (2005) Stephen Chow. Don't miss it's really a great movie. yes, Sun Wukong is one of the lead role. if u like Sun Wukong u can also try The Monkey King (2014).

 

Drama, i think it's about love story. U can try You Are The Apple Of My Eyes (2011). it's memorable high school love story. if it can touch u, i will recommend u more. Na Xie Nian or Those Bygone Years is its OST. it's also the greatest Chinese song.

I can't say I like chinese movies (cause i never seen one) but I do love it when they do great, just don't like it that imported films get dissed so much by the laws.

So yeah my appologies didn't want to be rude for the domistic movies.

What chineese movies do i have to see before I die? I mean i have time to check some out ^^

See it this way, at least imported films get released. Chinese movies are never released in the US the same way for example (and wouldn't get a lot of movie either, that is )
