MinaTakla
Inside out's date is not confirmed, and I doubt it opens that early. Someone on Twitter (apparently in China) tweeted yesterday saying there's a possibility neither films gets a China release - esp Minions - hope this isn't true. Even though both have Chinese posters and trailers..

Even though both have Chinese posters and trailers.. I would not take random posters in China as gospel. For now I dont see any reason why either IO or Minions wont release in China. Let us wait for another week or so. POTUS 2020
There is any precedent of a film with so (apparently) good legs? where can TMK land? SA was having a good start, holding its opening day for a week, got its legs cut when JW opened though but still managed to make to $100m. about 18x OD. I thought it would do at least 125m. 39m/51m This doing much better than that. 18m/29m/39m/39m/51m. Tuesday nearly 3x OD Friday and going to do 50m again today. its showtimes are just 24% up from 10% on OD. If it can keep most of them this weekend it could be huge but who knows with the competition. I think it should beat SA at this point 625m/$100m. how much it can leg with this market is hard to say with the way they cut showtimes. Monk was doing well but its showtimes were cut big for these 3 openers.
A Marvel Fanboy
The absolute floor for TMK at this point is the all time animation record: KFP2's 618m $96m. But I think it will go even higher than that if it fires well against this weekend's Monster Hunt and JBM. TMK looks to do 350m+ this week alone so possibly weekly 95m+355m+250m+120m+60m = already 880m, Thu and Fri will be crucial and might change all. Next week has no major opener. MH looks to have a big Thursday opening and so is JBM on Friday. MH should do at leat 700m, up to 1B. JBM, a wild cat. Looks to be a 1.2B+ week, peak of the summer. PS. IO on July 30 is apparently untrue. No HLW release in August has been confirmed. (If there is still no announcement by next weekend, meaning the earliest HLW big release will be on Sep 6 or even later.) Update: It's rumored T5, Pixels and Minions have a shot for late August, other films all aim for Sep and post-holiday Oct. To clear it up, IO and Minions will 100% get their China releases. They are just not dated yet. Edited July 15, 2015 by firedeep

A Marvel Fanboy
Finally a big week. MH looks to have a 100m+ OD. 4Ddays opening aiming big 450m. JBM looks for 250m+ OW. TMK is doing 350m+ this week. These should the three biggest local releases of the summer, all in force this week. It remains to be seen which one win the summer crown.
