Olive
Friday showtimes Jian Bing Man 38.5% Monster Hunt 33.6% TMK 11.7% Forever Young 4.7% Shaun the Sheep 4.5% TT4 4.4%
POTUS 2020
they need a better system of distributing showtimes. TMK would keep its screens in domestic and Saturdays number is always higher than Thursdays which often doesn't happen here
Bob Violence
The book is not banned in China, I believe it will be fine. Books aren't as strictly policed as movies, though. A few years ago Stanley Kwan tried to adapt Han Han's 《他的国》 (a book readily available in shops throughout the country) and it didn't even make it through pre-production censorship. In other news, a 162-minute extended cut of Tiny Times 4 is being released on the 20th. Aside from being a pathetically desperate cash grab, it will probably have the lowest quality-to-running-time ratio of any movie ever made. Olive
I doubt any theater will schedule any showtimes for tt4 extended cut
MinaTakla
If Minions are in late August, Universal should be informed by next week, no? Like 45 days ahead?
Olive
Jian Bing Man presales are insane, almost AOU level in some big cities.

keysersoze123
Will Monster Hunt at least gross 1B Yuan or will it be front loaded?
Olive
Will Monster Hunt at least gross 1B Yuan or will it be front loaded? WOM is excellent for MH, but JBM will also be huge, competition is tough. On Friday, we may see 2 movie over 100M yuan.
Asyulus
Will Monster Hunt at least gross 1B Yuan or will it be front loaded? I think it will fall short on it, mainly because of the competition.
Cynosure
Sorry if this isn't totally related to China but I'd figure people here would know. Does anyone have a link for the weekend box-office of Taïwan ?
POTUS 2020
early numbers JBM 55m. Same as MH at this time yesterday. 145-165m projected MH 35. Down 40% from yesterday. 100-110m TMK 12.1m. Down just 5% with 33% showtime cut. 45-50m Shaun the sheep 3m. 8-10m projected These two will be down 90%+ this weekend TT 4-6m projected FY 4-6m Could be a 350m total
Olive
MH and JBM weekend presales are very close. Both movies are heavily promoted, so might be a bit frontloaded.
A Marvel Fanboy
That's 170m OD so 1B for MH is apparently locked. MH is not Tiny Times. Overall this week will easily break the all time weekly boxoffice record.
