Anyway, Leaked Cam Version of X Men is out, if someone creates Chinese subtitles, it might affect its China gross even more.

I don't think anything has had sales this high this far out. Most movies aren't even for sale yet.

Let's see if this holds a pace or if it's just a rush. 

I assume it's the former and should be interesting

 

WC OD PS going to pass A2 OD PS in just 12 hours. A2 probably opening under 40m. They should move up X-Men to tuesday OD, PS at .6m

But legs means GA. Is this going to be the lowest OD multi with a fanboy frontload? Or can GA catch on for legs and a 2B+ total. I think you need some GA to get over 2B.

The problem with these comparisons is that these webs (Gewara, Maoyan, ...) tracks more screens every passing day. It is to compare apples and oranges. Anyway, presales seem gigantic.

Congrats to the Chinese fans that are going to put this into the stratosphere. I used to play WoW many years ago with my wife as a tag-team. It was one of our favorite past-times for a year. If the movie is good, I hope the Chinese gross can justify additional movies, because I know that this is something I may like to see more of.

 

I am starting to be very, very glad that Wanda bought out Legendary. It seems like some incredible foresight on their part. I hope this bodes well for the future of hybrid American-Chinese blockbusters.

It is positive only i feel if it is a quality movie, thus supporting sequels, spin-offs etc, but if this is crap but yet achieved high Box Office because of China and gets a sequel, then i feel it isn't that good for the industry. Look at Expendables 4 being green-lit because of the huge returns of Ex3 from China..
