What are your thoughts on what BD2 will do? It's been out on DVD for ages I suspect. Will that impact it's box office? Quite a mistake for whoever the distributor is to release it in cinemas so late after its US release considering that China is the fake DVD capital of the world.

With DVD/BD out for months, it definitely will hurt its box office. I suppose, how much BD1 can do basically depends on how many diehard fans it has got over the years, which is hard to say, without the China releases of the second and the third movie in the series.I guess amybe $10M ? but not sure really.

Yeah, sorry, I meant BD1 in my previous post.It's going to be interesting. I say that it will gross about $15m. On the whole, I am guessing that most people do not buy fake DVDs, and that it's a big foreign franchise, people will be interested.

OD for Total Recall looks to be 16M yuan ($2.5m). Has a shot at $20M. And wom seems good.Bait 3D just crossed the 100M yuan ($15.8M) mark. Will do 150M yuan.

That is hard to predict. Might be some small foreign movie not many interested.

French films in China are poorly represented. But this is not so bad compared to other countries. A bout portant, La proie, Largo Winch 2, RTT, Taken 2. In general, quotas are 5 to 6 films per year. For cons, the box office is not good.

Yup, Roland Emmerich's 2012 will have a China exclusive 3D re-release in late November.

French films in China are well loved. Only Hollywood and UK movies have better receptions here.
