wileECoyote
Looks like Skyfall is off to a solid start. IMAX tickets for the Metreon are still available so may catch it tonight. And hoping for a drop of around 35% for Ralph over the weekend. Maybe even less since Veterans Day will give some people a day off on Monday
ecstasy
Amy Kaufman @AmyKinLA Whoa: Early ticket sales indicate "Skyfall" will gross over $100 million this weekend. #BoxOffice Awsome. 100m Bond opening.
blackspider
Go Skyfall! Way too early but 100m for this would definitely be one of the most impressive openings of the year.
MovieMan89
Amy Kaufman @AmyKinLA Whoa: Early ticket sales indicate "Skyfall" will gross over $100 million this weekend. #BoxOffice Holy hell! If that happens who knows how high it could go. 400 would even be in play.
blackspider
Can't help but think the brilliant marketing campaign definitely helped Skyfall. It was everywhere but not in an annoying way that some movies are with over-exposure. Just the perfect blend of sick ads, tie-ins, and great reviews to boot.
CJohn
I would cry with over 100M OW.

JackO
Amy Kaufman @AmyKinLA Whoa: Early ticket sales indicate "Skyfall" will gross over $100 million this weekend. #BoxOffice I agree with Ray Suber's response to that tweet Ray Subers @raysubers @AmyKinLA That's an absurd number, and I refuse to believe it until Monday.
RichWS
$100M would be such an extraordinary jump. It's a little hard to believe at the moment.

It's a little hard to believe at the moment.I agree with you, I doubt this will make $100mil, I'm going on about $85 this weekend. That would still be great. FTF
Would be awesome to see, but ain't buying $100m ow. $75-80m sure. Can't wait to see early Fri estimates though.
Crusader
ITs probably in the 80-90 mil range but that number is not 'absurd' It is plausible for this movie to open to that number ... its just highly unlikely
Totem
Either way these are positive signs coming through, 100m+ is possible but unlikely, I could see a 85-95m OW though.
grey ghost
I'm hoping for 85+ m.With decent legs it would be enough to beat Bourne Ultimatum (227 m) for top spy movie.

RichWS
Josh Dickey @Variety_JLD Early BO: SKYFALL could top $80M; LINCOLN avg. hearty $80K @ 11 locs; WRECK-IT RALPH 40% drop for $30M upside; FLIGHT still soaring to $14M.

baumer
Off the top of my head I don't know the answer but besides Shrek the 3rd and Pirates 3 having back to back 100 mill weekends in May of 07, has there ever been another weekend with back to back 100 mill openings?
