Year 5 Actuals

I added the Limited 3:37 AM.I would prefer if we didn't make all these complicated release patterns. Those sort of things are not set in stone all the time. Sometimes expansions are based on how well or poorly it does limited.

Feb 6-Feb 8:The first $40m opener came, but just barely. Neither opening film blew away expectations, and 3:37 AM couldn’t quite crack the Top 10 in its first expansion. Fans of good movies should be happy to watch Slumber Party fall four spots with a steep drop.1. One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish: 42,056,329 (1st week)2. Countdown: 28,419,546 (1st week)3. I Love You Too: 16,126,437 (2nd week)4. Rise of the Dead: 9,127,771 (3rd week)5. Game Hunt: 2,906,367 (4th week)6. Escalator: 2,613,115 (4th week)7. Lord Manship: 2,496,783 (7th week)8. Aleisa: 2,197,568 (8th week)9. Slumber Party: 2,109,913 (2nd week)10. Miracle Kids: 1,362,828 (8th week)--3:37 AM: 1,298,336 (2nd week - STILL LIMITED)Feb 13-Feb 15:Boom! With good economic news hitting, the Box Office did better than expected overall. Unbalanced 2 beat all but the highest of expectations with a 40m weekend, while Guardian’s numbers were solid but expected. Lord Manship remains the one Year 4 film in the Top 10.1. Unbalanced 2: 40,163,255/46,308,219 (1st week)2. One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish: 30,228,557/37,193,334 (2nd week)3. Guardian: 26,941,307/32,237,428 (1st week)4. Countdown: 18,156,509/22,567,891 (2nd week)5. I Love You Too: 11,106,423/15,393,908 (3rd week)6. Rise of the Dead: 5,428,989/6,928,064 (4th week)7. 3:37 AM: 3,982,207/5,113,456 (3rd week - WIDE)8. Game Hunt: 1,893,226/2,501,359 (5th week)9. Escalator: 1,533,987/1,987,664 (5th week)10. Lord Manship: 1,427,559/1,893,221 (8th week)Feb 20-Feb 22:Holdovers held strong enough to keep the newcomers stuck in the 5 and 6 spots for the week. Made in China struck a cord with many, enough to rank highest of the two new releases. One Fish reclaims the top spot in its 3rd week after being booted in its second.1. One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish: 20,492,781 (3rd week)2. Unbalanced 2: 18,889,820 (2nd week)3. Guardian: 17,091,517 (2nd week)4. Countdown: 11,667,023 (3rd week)5. Made in China: 10,024,443 (1st week)6. Forgiven Not Forgotten: 7,269,334 (1st week)7. I Love You Too: 7,142,429 (4th week)8. 3:37 AM: 5,246,309 (4th week - WIDER)9. Rise of the Dead: 3,039,622 (5th week)10. Game Hunt: 1,020,059 (6th week)Feb 27-29:Tyrant managed to hit the top spot despite a thin plot. Without any other new releases, it was pretty obvious the winner of the weekened. 3:37 AM has begun to decline slightly, as though more theaters have been added, most people who wanted to see it have been able to since last weekend.1. Tyrant: 31,649,103 (1st week)2. One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish: 13,346,003 (4th week)3. Guardian: 10,522,168 (3rd week)4. Unbalanced 2: 9,577,502 (3rd week)5. Rise of the Dead: 1,627,379 (6th week)

Mar 5-7:Not quite! Paradise Lost narrowly missed a 40m weekend, and The Very First-Last managed to break 10m. Tyrant had a predictable drop, while the other holdovers didn’t drop quite as steeply. One Fish lost a bit of steam in its 5th week, however, with another animated kids film having been released.1. Paradise Lost: 39,805,401 (1st week)2. Tyrant: 13,329,623 (2nd week)3. The Very Last First Time: 10,669,207 (1st week)4. One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish: 7,883,179 (5th week)5. Guardian: 5,877,222 (4th week)6. Unbalanced 2: 5,024,518 (4th week)7. 3:37 AM: 4,498,605 (6th week -WIDEST)8. Countdown: 4,206,941 (6th week)9. I Love You Too: 2,704,469 (6th week)10. Forgiven Not Forgotten: 2,319,325 (3rd week)Mar 12-14:It was a close battle for first place, but even with a solid drop of around 40%, Paradise Lost hell narrowly behind Nonexistence. It managed to make up a bit of ground on Saturday and Sunday, when Friday’s early numbers suggested Nonexistence would win by 2 or 3 million. Slit Happens did as its ilk does… poorly.1. Nonexistence: 24,815,773 (1st week)2. Paradise Lost: 23,891,241 (2nd week)3. The Very Last First Time: 6,671,923 (2nd week)4. Tyrant: 6,221,509 (3rd week)5. Slit Happens: 6,202,663 (1st week)6. One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish: 4,817,662 (6th week)7. Guardian: 3,132,614 (5th week)8. 3:37 AM: 3,061,048 (7th week)9. Unbalanced 2: 2,508,261 (5th week)10.Countdown: 2,322,921 (7th week)Mar 19-21:Chomp -- The sound of a hit. Godzilla is the first bona-fide Blockbuster of the year, taking in 65 million in its first weekend. However, some found this disappointing after a Friday of nearly 30 million having people suggest 75 or 80 million was a “lock.” Nonexistence and Paradise Lost both held well, but the other movies, not as much. Slit Happens took the biggest hit, as expected.1. Godzilla: 65,429,553 (1st week)2. Nonexistence: 15,945,223 (2nd week)3. Paradise Lost: 13,148,368 (3rd week)4. The Very Last First Time: 4,307,945 (3rd week)5. One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish: 2,817,776 (7th week)6. Tyrant: 2,374,067 (4th week)7. Slit Happens: 2,288,580 (2nd week)8. 3:37 AM: 1,998,299 (8th week)9. Guardian: 1,435,505 (6th week)10. Unbalanced 2: 1,214,591 (6th week)Mar 26-28:Godzilla held on to the top spot despite a pretty big drop. There just wasn't any competition. With a lack of new films in the running, the top 10 has become thin. Where's Dreamworks with their wacky March CGI Comedy?! But barring that, Psychonauts did more than expected, and the studio is pleased and expects it should make back its budget if it holds as they hope it will.1. Godzilla: 32,199,813 (2nd week)2. Psychonauts 22,026,459 (1st week)3. Nonexistence: 9,742,239 (3rd week)4. Paradise Lost: 7,459,398 (4th week)5. The Very Last First Time: 2,451,193 (4th week)6. One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish: 1,562,935 (8th week)7. 3:37 AM: 1,202,385 (9th week)8. Slit Happens: 1,158,025 (3rd week)9. Tyrant: 985,665 (5th week)10. Guardian: 669,105 (7th week)

And I'm not trying to be unfair to any type of film (I'll have to hold my irrational hate of 4chan in check for that actual!) I have a few dice rolls, using a C++ dice rolling program I made last week.

I think you're forgetting Countdown from March. Did it really drop over 65% in its 5th week?Slightly dissapointing opening for Countdown, but legs are pretty solid, so I'm happy with that. That's also a pretty good opening for Psychonauts. (It had a higher opening than any stop motion film in real life!)

This is CAYOM...

Very disappointing for Paradise Lost. Hopefully it can get a Easter boost.Unbalanced 2 should just crack 100M, which means...Unbalanced 3!!!

Hopefully the third's stories are more interconnected, the second was just a dumb horror anthology.
