Totem
The good OW domestic is a good sign for Immortals, these types of films usually see a high international to domestic ratio. 75m domestic could mean we see 230M OS.
CJohn
230M OS? Sequel coming.I say 150M OS. But since I was predicting less than 35M... DOM total :P
rb02
It will do fine OS, assuming enough territories and theaters. With a Relativity movie, I'm not sure, but then again Season of the Witch ended up in the black because it did well OS.
Cedarpoint1111
175M OS!
Mattrek
200m OS is achievable.
Dhamal2009
Except Relativity sold the international rights to various local studios. Therefore, they won't make any money from international boxoffice. Extremely stupid decision.
Totem
Not when they can't afford the the financial risk of a major WW marketing campaign. I would say Relativity is very much in the black. I read somewhere they have about 30m at stake, after selling international rights... that is pretty good, I believe it includes marketing so they should turn a decent profit and make a hell of alot more in home division sales. Cedarpoint1111
That is a smart decision actually. They will probably make a good 50m from Immortals once everything's been counted.
Dhamal2009
That is a smart decision actually. They will probably make a good 50m from Immortals once everything's been counted.okay. So doesn't that mean they will make a loss? 75 million budget after tax credits. 75-50 = 25 million loss?
CJohn
They already covered almost all the budget when they sold the international rights.
Mattrek
okay. So doesn't that mean they will make a loss? 75 million budget after tax credits. 75-50 = 25 million loss?No he means make 50m profit on top of the costs.
Dhamal2009
hahahahah LOLThis movie is doing shit overseas. Won't even crack 150 million.
Totem
That isn't a terrible number, considering they sold OS rights. This film is a winner, will triple it's budget.

rb02
hahahahah LOLThis movie is doing shit overseas. Won't even crack 150 million. How is that "shit"? If it DID crack 150 million, that means it would TRIPLE the production budget WW; as it is, it is probably going to come close to doing so. It's a solid hit. Totem
Any word on how much they sold it for???No I don't believe so, but apparently enough that only 35m is invested on Relativity's behalf, I think it includes marketing.
