Avengers Nitpicking Thread

Recommended Posts

A factual representation of why the Avengers is an overhyped mess.http://www.cracked.c...ore-honest.htmlAnd one that points out even more issues. Sure, some of it's nitpicking, then again, that's the name of the game, right?http://problemswithavengers.blogspot.ca/

I'm not trolling you ignorant wretch. I spent 2 hours writing that article. I sent it in to a reputable website, in which the editor of that site has an article written where he lists TDKR as the best film of the year. So if you want to be take seriously, how about you write an article, on your own, explaining your problems with Avengers. Do it or don't do it, but don't label me a troll for feeling differently than you do about a film.

How is that any different than you starting a separate thread about TDKR instead of putting it in the TDKR thread?

He started two threads about the problems with Avengers.http://forums.boxoffice.com/index.php?/topic/7576-massive-problems-with-the-avengers/ Edited by baumer

That's all I meant. And if the other mods think my thread should be closed and just post the link in another TDKR thread, then I have asked them to close my thread. I didn't open it to cause problems and I don't want anyone thinking I have special privileges because I'm a mod.....so if they think it should be shut down, they will do so today.

Any film can be torn apart. And it takes almost zero talent to do so. A kindergarten aged child could find a problem with The Godfather. They would say it's boring and they'd be 100% correct in their opinion since five year olds would A) not understand it and B ) not be entertained by it. Which are the same two reasons most adults hate specific movies. Edited by Accursed Arachnid!™

The first article was pretty boring so I didn't bother reading it too closely.

The second article was pretty bad until the author wrote this:

"Here's Your Money - Captain America never took Nick Fury up on that bet and is under no obligation to pay him the ten dollars. Even if he wanted to pay, Nick Fury should have turned him down the offer."

When you are being critical about the technicality of a bet and how a character reacted to the bet, then the article is either written as a joke or the author seriously has too much time on his hands.

That's totally ridiculous. When you go after a film on one of its best moments, you'd better have more than ultra nitpicky crap like that. Besides, I think him handing him the ten holds more weight since he never took the bet. It was like, "Even though I didn't actually take the bet, after watching an aircraft carrier not only take flight, but become invisible, I'm giving him the $10 anyway."
