The Creator Posted December 13, 2012 Author Posted December 13, 2012 Oh, oops. that was supposed to be Goffe. It would be neat if I could throw you in as a player like that Gopher, though, but I don't think I can. Quote
riczhang Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 (edited) Glad to have made top 10 this season! Edited December 13, 2012 by riczhang Quote
ChD Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 I have a good average, but looking at the players I'm against too, I'm pretty sure I'm eliminated lol. Quote
acsc1312 Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Mine's pretty good, but I'm not sure it'll be enough. Stupid Lincoln and its 10% drop!! Quote
The Creator Posted December 13, 2012 Author Posted December 13, 2012 Mega Challenge As a result of the Special Host Weeks, a Mega Challenge was chosen, sending in the 6 lowest scoring players from the last 2 weeks combined. RichWS opted out by buying one immunity for 10 points. He is safe this week and is guaranteed a spot in the Top 10. That left the other 5 to compete for 3 more spots. In an unexpected move, CEDAR withdrew from this competition, forfeiting the game. This may be a heroic move, having spared his partner Acsc any potential elimination. Yet, it also means the end of "The Shadowkillers", who won last season and competed heartily much of this season. CEDAR is a legend in Box Office Alliance, voted Player of the Season in Season 1 and victor of Season 2. He has been present in 40 out of 41 episodes of Box Office Alliance so far. It shall be a very different place without him. Will Acsc carry on his legacy? Or will this week also find the most consistently prominent member of Box Office Alliance eliminated as well? This will be a huge blow either way you spin it, because two other players here are also star veterans. Alfred is the winner of Season 1 and appeared in 7 episodes in Season 2, finishing in 4th place. He has been in a total of 33 episodes. And XenoZodiac has been a very dominant player and made it to the Top Ten in both Seasons 1 and 2. He has been in a total of 34 episodes. Meanwhile, ChD is the only rookie player in this competition, and if he survives, he will be one of only two rookie players to make it to the Top Ten games. Who will go home? Let's take a look. Question 1: Acsc won this one with a 99.70% score. Question 2: Acsc won this one with a 99.21% score. Question 3: ChD won this one with a 77.67% score. Question 4: Acsc won this one with a 98.88% score. Question 5: Alfred won this one with a 94.08% score. I know that was ambiguous, but let's see what players scored. Acsc: 75.22%. (zeroed on Question 3) Alfred: 76.81% (zeroed on Question 3) ChD: 90.97% So far, Alfred and ChD are guaranteed to move on. But what about Acsc or Xeno? Who will be eliminated. This is a truly ironic turn of fate as the two were partners on "The Shadowlords" in Season 1. Xeno: 0.00% (did not predict) Xeno is eliminated. Acsc will move on to bear CEDAR and "The Shadowkiller's" legacy, as well as his own. He is joined by Alfred and ChD. Now let's see the new teams formed from these bottom 4. Team Redemption: RichWS will be joined by...ChD! They will be seeking to redeem themselves after the results of last week. Can they do it? The A-Team: Yes! This has finally happened. Acsc and Alfred, two nemeses in season 1, are now partners. Woot woot! The two went head to head in the finale in Season 1, so this shall be interesting. They've both always been two of the most competitive players. Oh, and the name is a reference to both their skill and the fact that both their names start with "a". Quote
The Dark Alfred Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Plan A: Let's win this Acsc. Plan B: Execute Plan A Quote
acsc1312 Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Yeah buddy! Lets do this, Alfred! I want a rematch of season 1 finale. Quote
ChD Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Poor Rich... ends up in team with the worst player around... Quote
Cedarpoint1111 Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 Nice one acsc, win it for the both if us buddy. Quote

The Creator Posted December 16, 2012 Author Posted December 16, 2012 SPECIAL MONDAY BONUS ROUND This is a bonus that will be rewarded to the player who scores the highest on this question. The deadline is Monday, December 17 at 6:00 P.M. Eastern (5:00 P.M. Central) Predict The Hobbit's percent drop on Monday. Quote
The Creator Posted December 18, 2012 Author Posted December 18, 2012 So questions 8 and 9 are now bonuses. They are each worth 100 bonus percents. Those percents can be dispersed to any question(s) before them to up those scores. So if you get a 65%, 35% may be added to that from the bonus, and another 30% may be added to a score of a 70%, etc. You may get up to +200%. So if you score perfectly, your end score will be a 125% instead of a 100%. Quote
The Creator Posted December 18, 2012 Author Posted December 18, 2012 (edited) 3.10 "The Hobbit Special" 'Tis the season for a big surprise. We are now enterring the prestigious and top-dog Top Ten games, the next critical juncture of the season and the precursor to the ever-exciting Final Five Championships that will be held within the next few weeks. These Top Ten games are more competitive than the first course of the season, but they sure do leave a spicy aftertaste. They pack quite a punch, and this Season should feature the best Top Ten ceremony ever...because we are joined by ten of the biggest and best players of "Box Office Alliance" history. This week, I will do my breakdown for the Top Ten and declare who I think the frontrunner is based on the seasonal performances, but first, let's hop into our "Hobbit Special." Alas, this season's Special Episode marks the first without an appearance by Xeno, who has always placed on the winning team during the Special Episode. But, we will still do fine without him, and indeed we have a very fascinating special this week. All questions were centerred on "The Hobbit", and bonuses and surprises abound throughout. The Creator Posted December 18, 2012 Author Posted December 18, 2012 The Challenge - Week 10 Information And now, what about The Challenge? We're in the Top Ten games now, so the Challenge is going to be a bit different than it has been before. Now only the winning team will be immune each week because we have only 5 teams. The winning team will get to choose to send 2 players in (but must rank all elligible players so immunities can be sorted out first). The player who loses the Challenge will be eliminated but, here's a new catch, the player who wins will automatically be assimilated onto the winning team of that week, thus forging new allies out of enemies. In this tradition, "Box Office Alliance" will now more than ever truly be about building alliances. This week, "The Overlords" (Totem and Goffe) dominated. They now get to select who to send into The Challenge. They must rank all elligible candidates. Quote
