"The Road Home" from Forgiven Not Forgotten, the fifth song nominated, is performed.

The next award, Best Use Of Action, is presented by Tom Cruise

Action is just, well, action-packed. Filmmakers can do so much greatness with direction of action scenes, and here are the nominees for Best Use Of Action.

THE AFFAIR

LUCID

HINDENBERG

ORO

THE SHARK MUTINY

And the winner is....

HINDENBERG

Winners: Hindenberg had a unique kind of action. A lot of it was both external and internal, which was a unique blend where each category was strongly optimized. We'd like to thank everyone who voted for us, and curse those who didn't. Just kidding.

The next award, Best Adapted Screenplay, is presented by Aaron Sorkin.

Adapting a screenplay isn't always an easy task. We have to stay true to the spirit of the original source while crafting a unique film experience out of it. These five writers, or perhaps teams of writers, have done an excellent job of retaining, if not adding to, the quality of the original source. Here are the nominees for Best Adapted Screenplay.

THE 39 CLUES: MAZE OF BONES

THE DOGS OF BABEL

KHAHN BERNARDA ALBA

PSYCHONAUTS

THE SHARK MUTINY

And the winner is.......

THE SHARK MUTINY

Writers of TSM: We fell in love with the original novel before USS Seawolf even came out. To adapt the novel in the first place, let alone win this award, is an incredible honor. We'd like to thank Sam Mendes, the cast, and everyone who supported us in adapting this incredible story to the big screen.

Best Original Screenplay is also presented by Aaron Sorkin.

Having said that, Original Screenplays are also very impressive. Writers create their own worlds, their own characters, fresh out of their minds. Their imagination becomes clear with every moment on the screen. Here are the nominees for Best Original Screenplay.

DAWN OF OBLIVION

THE ECCENTRIC MINDS OF BELMOND LANE

EMPTY HEARTH

PAST TENSE

SHIVERIN' GULCH

And the winner is....

THE ECCENTRIC MINDS OF BELMOND LANE

Winners: Well, we just won. This never happened to us before. It feels quite nice, actually. So yeah, thank you all. We'll see you all later.

Elton John comes up on stage to present Best Original Song.

You already know the nominees for these exciting songs. The winner is....

"TYPICAL DAY IN SHIVERIN' GULCH" FROM "SHIVERIN' GULCH"

Winners: This is probably one of the most fun and energetic songs that we've ever written. We'd like to thank the academy, and we'd like to thank life for the fact that we could geniunely say that!"

The next category is Best Original Score, presented by Trent Reznor.

Music can make a film. It certainly gives it a unique flavor, one that helps to characterize the film. Here are the intriguing nominees for Best Original Score for Year Five.

JAMES HORNER FOR THE DOGS OF BABEL

JOHN WILLIAMS FOR DAWN OF OBLIVION

For ORO!

Williams: Well, is this the first time a film needed to be specified beyond the composer? Maybe. Thank you for this wonderful award. Working with Spielberg is always something so amazing, and I'm glad to get this golden man out of it. Thank you all.
