Well in the end Moneyball was trumps. but overall as was indicated by a number of people in the know, this weekend was indeed a very quiet one. It does seem the market it really waiting for Breaking Dawn to hit. So not much to tell - i will update with better details once we have them, such as prints etc.

Credit to MPDAA.

But I am now concerned that while I am sure Breaking Dawn will open well it will be unable to match either of New Moon or Eclipse for opening thanks to it's harsh (but possibly required) rating of MA15+. In fact if we back through history, the only films to open above 5m with a MA15+ rating are:

Note 2 of those are recent films from May and June this year. So it's not impossible that BD won't do well, it will just have break a few more records doing it!

well ok... 15m is back on the table..... I don't see it getting any higher though... I really feel that an opening around DH1 (which will still be great) is what BD1 is likely to get now that it's got an M rating.

Those tables do not like the ole iPad sadly.Certainly a quiet weekend

the tables looked ok on the iphone 4. are you using the mobile skin (the default for the iphone / ipad app.) the tables look terrible on there. try changing to the imperial skin... ipad should be big enough to be able read the normal skin on here.- jajang
