riczhang
I will have you know that it's an extremely well made and classy top 10 list. And I can tell you that by the end of the decade maybe half this list will be Haneke films depending on how many he's made. His films have never failed to make a top 10 of the decade list. Gopher
1. Tinker Tailor Soldier SpyThis just missed my top 10 in 2011. It's an odd film... I recognize that there's greatness in it, but it left me quite cold. I had no emotional reaction to it. Which is, suitably enough, how many people thought about The Master. Different strokes I suppose. Edited January 15, 2013 by Gopher

Knee-Jerk reaction had it in top 10 all time. I've cooled down somewhat from then but it's still all-time great in my opinion. They took a bloated book and cut it down to size and the result was well acted, well paced, well scripted, and better than the original source material IMO.And I got an emotional payoff at the end when the threads began to be tied up. The La Mer scene at the end is just pure genius best of the year by far. Edited January 15, 2013 by riczhang
Gopher
Oh it's definitely well-acted, well-paced, and gorgeously rendered. And La Mer is definitely one of the best scenes of 2011. I should watch that movie again... maybe I'll understand what they're saying this time.
Gopher
9. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn: Part 1You shouldn't joke about this. Baumer may have it on his top 10.
Ezen Baklattan
I actually watched it yesterday for some reason, and I didn't like it at all. Edited January 15, 2013 by Spaghetti

4815162342
By decade so far do you mean 2010 to present or 2011 to present (since the prior decade could be 2000-2009 or 2001-2010 depending on view).

Gopher
I've always considered decades to be 2000-2009, 2010-2019 and so on. True Grit is a great, great film yet it's not even in my top five for Coens. I think those two have produced more masterpieces than any American filmmaker working today, though a case could be made for Tarantino and Paul Thomas Anderson. 4815162342
I've always considered decades to be 2000-2009, 2010-2019 and so on.For me it's the opposite, I always consider decades to be 1991-2000, 2001-2010, etc, because the starting point for modern calendars is Year 1. Logic indicates there can't be a Year 0 since the first day we'd take note of time would be the first day of the first year (Year 1).
