Michael Gary Scott
But MM or even BB isn't a geeky show like walking dead or thrones.
Plain Old Tele
It's kind of a miracle MM is as popular as it is. Period piece, no action, no crazy wild plotlines, it's shot like a movie from the era; it's just a bunch of people talking.
cozmeesah
I understand all that. I just find it funny that it's talked about all over the place like it's the most-watched show on TV sometimes. It's just weird.

Community Manager Water Bottle Posted April 16, 2013 Community Manager Share Posted April 16, 2013 You know... as much as the media and Twitter, etc. seem to talk about Mad Men, you'd think it'd have ratings up there with The Walking Dead. But they're not even close. Game of Thrones almost doubles the viewers and demo (2.4x in that case) of MM, yet the former is on a pay network while the latter is free. It baffles me. The latter is on a cable network so not technically free.
cozmeesah
The latter is on a cable network so not technically free. Well, most people still get it and you don't have to have a special subscription just for that one channel. It reaches 3x the amount of homes HBO does. Captain Craig
Is The Originals going to survive? I've just finished S4 of Vampire Dairies and the Originals that were killed were resurrected by some arcane uber powerful Witch spell. I see its on S3 itself, kinda impressed at that. Wondering if AoS increased last night as well now that's week 2 back from the long break.
baumer
What are the viewers like for Walking dead this year?
Joel M
^ It's 5th season premiere was another series high (17+ million viewers) and the rest of the season did better as a whole than the previous one. It doesn't seem to be going away although I think it will stop growing every year at some point. Maybe after the spin-off premieres next year. BourneFan #1
What are people's predictions for the highest rated new shows this year? I think Supergirl will be high for the pilot but quality will depend on episodes after that.
CJohn
I am sure Empire will trounce everything in free networks. From all the new shows I am remembering Supergirl seems to be the one with more potential to pull big numbers in the pilot. Limitless, Blindspot and Minority Report seem to be flops waiting to happen.
WrathOfHan
The Muppets or Supergirl will do the best in ratings, maybe Scream Queens.
