ToddThatcher
I think Ejiofor and Redford are definitely in, but rest of field quite uncertain for now. Here's my best guess on the five actors nominated: http://toddmthatcher.wordpress.com/2013/09/07/early-oscar-predictions-best-actor/
Cmasterclay
We could have a good idea about Elba and MM today. Mandela and Dallas Buyer Club screenings.

Here's my best guess on the five actors nominated: http://toddmthatcher.wordpress.com/2013/09/07/early-oscar-predictions-best-actor/ With most movies delivering, I'm not comfortable with calling anything a lock. riczhang
DBC will do very well critically. Might not resonate with AMPAS though,
Cmasterclay
Massive early praise for MM, Elba, Firth, Ejoifor, Jackman, and Hanks from recent screenings, in addition to the already huge praise for guys like Jordan, Hawke, Whitaker, and Redford from earlier this year. And we're still waiting to hear about alot of guys- DiCaprio, Fassbender, Carrell, and Bale. Fucking stacked year. Could be one of the best ever. The Futurist
The problem is that the Oscar race has transformed into the pundits race with every tweet trying to call first a possible contender so everyone is a contender after a festival screening. Quite pathetic actually how those pundits behave. Like 12 year old boys doing a pissing contest.
