Impact
Okay-I know this probably wont happen-but would love to see Hanks be the first actor to win 2 Oscars in one year.

But it could just be the festival lull with the critics bringing it back.
Leyla
i wonder abt Elba for Mandela after Tiff the consensus that the film is going nowhere but who knows The problem is that the Oscar race has transformed into the pundits race with every tweet trying to call first a possible contender so everyone is a contender after a festival screening. Quite pathetic actually how those pundits behave. Like 12 year old boys doing a pissing contest. just read that rant from the guy from Hollywood elswhere He sounds like that Brad from Rope of silicon insulted him personally by not including the gal from 'Blue is the warmest colour' into his prediction lmao i cant with them Its basically the aruments from common ppl on forums lol Edited September 22, 2013 by Leyla

Jake Gittes
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDCP9uaqs_s Goddamn, Carell looks seriously good. Even in those few shots where he just stands still and stares, he looks positively chilling. And the way the teaser is put together makes the film look less like a conventional drama (something you'd expect from Miller after his first two movies) and more like an eerie, tense, disturbing thriller. riczhang
Wall Street might be back in 2013. Make up your minds! It's not gonna be. Marty doesn't have time to cut it anymore and even if he did, it'd be finished too late for a FYC campaign. He's obligated to go jury for 2 weeks at some festival in November.
