JackO
A little worse numbers then I thought for Snitch. About expected for Dark Skies.

Impact
Well problem is that there has been WAY TOO MANY ACTION FILMS! Really I think there has been at least one every week almost this year....
kayumanggi
Yeah to like 11 and 10 m, how exciting. Have you been expecting 50 M?
iceroll
Have you been expecting 50 M? No I haven't even predicted for these movies because they've been completely off my radar, I'm so uninterested in them. Judging by these numbers, most of the public felt the same way.
kayumanggi
That's we should not be surprised the numbers are low. Don't worry March is here.

forg
Yes what a weird scheduling this first two months were, an action movie almost every week! Good thing the Oscar-nominated movies held well plus Identity Thief doing amazing numbers. And solid grosses for Mama and Warm Bodies too Edited February 23, 2013 by forg
Impact
Funny thing is that I'm finding quite a few people liking DH5. It is though that there was way too much. It was like how in 2011 there were too many thriller in the early part of the year.
Impact
And I have seen no 2013 film yet....

tonytr87
It's been a crappy year so far, but IT IS late winter. Did you guys forget that this time of year always sucks? Even March doesn't look that great. I'll probably watch a few because I like to sample a wide variety of movies (good and bad) every year, but The Place Beyond the Pines and Evil Dead are literally the only two films I'm legitimately excited for between now and May. And that might change for the latter if reviews are bad. Edit: the new trailer for Spring Breakers piqued my interest as well.
