Founder / Operator Shawn Robbins Posted February 23, 2013 Founder / Operator Share Posted February 23, 2013 PG-13 Rating shouldn't affect drops. If anything, being limited to older audiences only softens drops (given that teens are the ones driving early business).
Founder / Operator Shawn Robbins Posted February 23, 2013 Founder / Operator Share Posted February 23, 2013 and that was against Transformers!! In the middle of summer, no less. It really is pretty ugly.

CJohn
Die Hard 4 looked like a Summer blockbuster, it had incredible marketing and the GA liked it. It had very good WOM and excellent reviews. Die Hard 5 looked like cheap shit and the marketing was weak. It would have been completely buried in the Summer. So far, it has terrible reviews and meh WOM. Just compare the trailers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-E3bCim0hg

narniadis
I didn't find DH5 bad tbh, but I can see where others would have issues. My wife has only seen the 1st - we watched it last month in prep for this and she thought it was great and so did our audience (or so it seemed). Just think there are too many action flicks out right now
jacquelinejane
I've never seen Die Hard either. Whatever. Action movies aren't really my bag.
